I am active duty and had no idea on what direction to go to get in shape for OCS. I reached out to Coach Fasulo for some help getting in the shape I wanted. He took the time to organize a plan from scratch to meet my needs. He included a warm-up and stretch portion that helped immensely! Coach Fasulo’s program helped me score higher on my annual fitness tests and prepare for attending OCS. He has an immense wealth of fitness and health knowledge. I highly recommend working with him!

John and his programming drive real results. for context, I have been weight training for over 10 years and was a high school collegiate athlete and have had personal trainers in the past. John’s programming is truly exceptional and his expertise is on another level. 4 to 5 months into his program, I felt the most athletic, mobile and strong I have felt since college football. He put my body in peak condition, my physique improved, and I was measurably stronger and I retained more muscle at a lower body weight than I ever had in the past.

The most notable improvement was my mobility and athleticism. He introduced a lot of exercises that pushed me to get more from my body. And the programming takes all the thought out of training, it’s done for me.

If you are considering working with him for any athletic programming or personal training, it’s honestly a no-brainer. I think John has Higher level of education surrounding Athletic training than anyone else I know. Highly recommend.

I am so thankful for being referred to John. Since starting training sessions in June 2024, John has helped me with eliminating the need to rely on a weight loss doctor and weight loss meds. Although I had previously lost some weight, it was unclear how much was muscle vs fat and the previous program left me feeling weaker. John has also helped me with:
- individualized meal planning and supplement recommendations that is adjusted based on major milestones and labs in coordination with my Naturopath
- individualized workout plan that was tailored my budget and based on a hybrid approach (online and in-person). This includes strength training, cardio, recovery and flexibility/mobility workouts as well as assessing workout equipment that I already and cost effective recommendations for additions.
- continuous coaching and monitoring of key fitness and body metrics through Whoop and body scans. This alone has been incredibly insightful and impactful as it relates to impacts of poor sleep, diet and alcohol consumption. Huge impact here!

As a result of all of the above, I have lost at least 15 pounds of body fat and increased muscle mass (resulting in a material change in body composition that is getting noticed by others). I feel and move better as my energy levels have materially increased, I’m stronger and significantly more flexible, have greater control and knowledge around my eating and sleep/recovery has drastically improved as well!

I’ve been able to shop in my closet and just amazed at being able to fit back into old clothes. Something I have not been able to accomplish for over 5 years.

I have had my fair share of trainers and doctors that I’ve seen in the past. None of which has helped me to achieve what I have with John (physically and mentally). I highly recommend John for his expertise and wholistic training approach!

I’m just about finished with the female bodybuilding program and would highly highly recommend it! Working with a professional coach online takes the guess work out of gym time and I could just focus on the program and know I’m making progress towards my goal physique. John’s online training and programs are super thorough and strategically designed so even though it was challenging, my body could still recover without overextending the same muscle groups. I especially liked that it emphasized lower body without neglecting foundational upper body exercises. This was really well rounded and even included a few exercise techniques that were new to me. I’m really happy with the progress made in this program and with the support and education John provides for his clients!

The Olympic weightlifting program is a great starting point for a beginner, as well as someone who wants to focus on developing technique. I struggled with unstable shoulders and used to get scared when lifting overhead, but with this program my shoulders got stronger and more stable. The program translated well with my other lifting activities, and the flexibility of the online program allowed me to be more consistent.

I just finished several months of the GPP programming on Train Heroic. The program is top notch. John is obviously a wealth of knowledge and the programming is extremely well thought out and probably the most comprehensive I’ve done. I have gained strength but more importantly I have become a more well rounded athlete given the daily core, balance and mobility work. If you are wanting to build an incredible base or fix deficiencies, which will make you a better athlete in just about any sport or fitness endeavor, this program is well worth the time and money.

I have been using online programming for my fitness goals now for the last 4 years. The last few years, I have been using the female gpp program for my strength and fitness goals. The app is very easy & convenient, and instructions for my workouts are always easy to follow. There’s always a video to demonstrate just in case I don’t know what the exercise is. My workouts change monthly, and I really feel that they build me up over time. I always feel stronger in my legs, my balance has improved, and I’ve had injury free training for years now. I’ve gotten pretty lean a couple times through the years with this program and I like not having to think about programming my workouts for myself. Everything is easy to follow and I feel so much more fit and capable with my barbell exercises.
