So. Much. Fun! Doesn’t feel like a chore to exercise, it’s like going to the club, like a night out, you look forward to it. Seriously. Cardio meets resistance training in a studio that’s super high energy with fun music and dim ambient lighting. Extra bonus that everything is blacked out and looks slick. Supportive and safe environment with women of all different shapes and sizes working toward their best self. I love the bands class but they’re all great and the instructors are fire πŸ”₯ πŸ”₯ πŸ”₯ You can modify moves to be low impact before working your way up and at the end of the day it’s just so fun. Do it!

I walked in to AKT Yorba Linda a little over 2 years ago looking to get my body moving again after 3 years of not having any type of workout routine at all. I wanted to lose weight, increase my energy level and improve my over all mood and attitude.

The following are the Top 10 reasons why I am STILL a member after 2 years and 460 classes taken at AKT Yorba Linda:

1. The Trainers: They are friendly, knowledgeable, talented and they make working out FUN. If its not fun, I'm not doing it.

2. The Community: In over two years, I have yet to encounter anyone who is rude or even unfriendly. The vibe there is supportive, positive and inclusive for everyone. Older, younger, already fit, looking to get fit. Every member there is appreciated and welcome.

3. The Workout: You have CHOICES to pick a class that suits your needs. Tone, Dance, Bands or Circuit. The content in each class is thoughtful and the moves in one class compliment the moves in another.

4. No Burnout factor: The content of the classes changes every three weeks so there's never a chance to get bored with your workout. By the time that would happen, it's time to start new content!

5. The Facility: The room we work out in feels like a night out at the club. The lights and the disco ball are transportive for the hour you're in there moving and changing your body.

6. The Merchandise: Shop the boutique before or after class for some great looks from popular brand names. I have found so many cute workout outfits there and they change their inventory often.

7. The Music: AKT has a way of putting together the BEST playlists for all their classes, the workouts fly by while you sweat to the beat like a BADASS.

8. It WORKS: I have achieved my original goals of weight loss, energy increase and attitude and mood improvement very quickly. I have since been able to set new goals and continue to become stronger, improve my core strength and reach new personal weight loss milestones.

9. Yorba Linda Connection: AKT continuously seeks out way to connect with the community in YL and partners with local businesses and supports our non-profits. As a Yorba Linda resident, I love supporting local!

10. Lots of membership options available. What you pay is dependent on how often you want to work out. Very customizable with options to meet you where you're at financially and in your workout journey.

This is by FAR, the BEST workout in Yorba Linda. I'm so glad I found it!!! They offer a free INTRO class. Highly recommend stopping by to check it out!

Only place that will get me out of my house at 5:30 am to workout even during COVID! Love how ever 3 weeks the content changes so you (and your muscles) do not get bored. Also the community and trainers are amazing!! Definitely give it a try. Your body will thank you later. πŸ˜‚

I've been going to AKT for two months now. I've tried also every class except bands. So far dance is my favorite! You still get a good mix of bands and weights combined with dance. Each three weeks there is a different theme. Theater and hip hop is so much fun. Great teachers! Shout out to Carolyn, Julianne, and Brittany! ❀️

Loved everything about the new AKT studio! As a devoted AKT ON Demand member, I was excited to have a local studio to visit and it has been nothing but Fantastic. Not only is the studio vibrant, beautiful, and clean (even has complementary high quality beauty products to freshen up after class) but the standout has to be the staff. Everyone from the front desk reception to the trainers are genuinely nice and empathetic to any fear you may have about surviving an epic AKT class.

I have taken both the Bands and Dance class offerings in the studio with almost every instructor. All of the trainers I have taken from are friendly, energetic and extremely knowledgeable about the anatomy and the science behind the workout. It’s refreshing to have a fun and smart training method that delivers results I never thought possible.

I am not a natural dancer, so this concept intemdates me, however within a few classes and the excellent instructors I have transitioned into an AKT Dance fitness fan.

The AKT Bands is like magic! By the end of class and definitely by the next day I see and feel the change in my body. It’s truly unique and so much more than the step aerobics of the past.

These classes are full body focused and constructed in interval training, so as soon as you think you can’t do one more squat or push-up or mountain climbers you switch to the next interval... cardio, but the music and energy of the class drown out any fear or tiredness you feel and leave you only feeling like a rockstar, albeit a very sweaty one at that.

Additionally they have heart rate monitor activity during class so each person will get a precise knowledge of how hard they are working through ea h segment of class and total calories burned too. This is a fitness plateaus game changer.

Needless to say I will be back often and encourage anyone that is interested in trying AKT to do it. No matter age or fitness level, invest in a hour for yourself and experience a true AKT Happy Hour!
