Ashley Lun excels in introducing adults to weight training, has years of experience with mature adults (65+), and assists young adults in their pursuits of school sports and resistance training.
In-person: Aluna Fitness offers in-person 1:1 and semi-private group sessions and online group classes so that no matter where you are, whether its the San Francisco Bay Area or beyond, working with Aluna Fitness can help you reach your fitness goals.
Online Training: Virtual fitness coaching can be done with as little equipment as most clients began these workouts at the beginning of the pandemic. You can continue your fitness routine, workouts, and training, whether you go on vacation, go on business trips, or live outside the East Bay.

When I started with Ashley a bit over a year ago, I assumed my most active years were behind me. I had a background in dance but no experience with weight training, and years of dealing with an autoimmune condition had pulled me away from movement far more than I ever expected—some days I couldn't even walk 10 minutes.
Thanks to working with Ashley, I'm now stronger, healthier, and more capable in every part of my life. She's helped me reach goals I never thought I'd be capable of, like: unassisted pull-ups, bodyweight dips...and so much other crazy stuff that still blows my mind every time I think back to where I was before.
More than any number, she's helped me rebuild trust in my body and belief in what I can do. Her coaching has pushed me beyond my own preconceived limits—and she's become a mentor and friend along the way. I have been training with Ashley since 2020 and I cannot speak highly enough of her professionalism and knowledge. She is attuned to my specific goals, strengths and weaknesses and she tailors every workout to meet my needs. She gives excellent feedback and is very focused on good form. I also appreciate that she can be flexible and change our workouts based on the equipment availability. I’m in my sixties and started working with Ashley on zoom during the pandemic. I was recovering from a severe concussion and had serious issues with balance and looking at the screen. Ashley was skilled and patient and talked me through strength, flexibility and balance exercises step-by-step. For over three years, I’ve had private, virtual sessions with Ashley twice a week. I can't say enough amazing things about Ashley! She is so much more than a trainer. She's intuitive and experienced, and has a way of making sure each training session is exactly what you need (body & mind). I started working with Ashley a few years after having kids -- when I had totally fallen out of a fitness routine and really wanted to feel strong again. I knew I needed the accountability and support of a trainer to get back into the swing of things. Ashley works wonders! She has been such a trusted partner in my effort to get stronger. I have a serious injury and it was hard to find a trainer who would help me get strong, but not approach our training like I'm 18 and a hardcore athlete. She has been so patient when I have setbacks, adjust things to work around where my pain/limitations are, and never gives up on us finding a way forward. I look forward to our time together every week.
Her modifications for how to approach things at home are very helpful. She didn't insist I run out and buy hundreds of dollars of new equipment. And she has also been very helpful in finding workarounds for when I'm traveling or can't do the full workouts we set up. I have wasted countless hours/money on physical therapists, trainers, etc. and for now I'm just sticking with Ashley!

I have been taking Zoom classes with Ashley at Aluna Fitness for several years now! Ashley is excellent. She notices each what each of us is doing and is kind but specific with her corrections. She monitors our form so we get a safe and effect workout. I am so much stronger now and have actual arm muscles! She has also done magic with my balance and posture. Ashley is an incredible trainer! She is warm, professional, knowledgeable, and very supportive. I always feel like she is tuned into my body and my fitness needs. I have been taking classes from Ashley for over 5 years. In the last year I have not only been taking her classes on-line but also training with her in person. She encouraged me to do this as I was preparing for a major hiking trip. I am so glad I followed her advise - I survived the Grand Canyon! I have kept up with the training sessions as I found her personalized workouts have helped me work through injuries and prep for other goals. She really knows what she is doing! Ashley's twice a week zoom low impact class keeps me fit, even at the advanced age of 82. Each class is different, challenging, and fun. She gives good alternatives so I can always use the right muscles without pain. Good cardio too.. My only gripe is that I'd like to meet three times a week.

Ashely's approach is a great balance of being encouraging, supportive and holding me accountable. The weekly workouts she plans are adjusted to fit my goals and are varied and interesting while also challenging. Since I can only work with her virtually, she offers weekly check ins and welcomes questions, videos of my workouts so she can give feedback, all of which have been super helpful to make sure I understand the exercises and feel confident enough to do them on my own.
