I'm sure you've read plenty of reviews that say," I never usually write reviews, but this " insert" was so amazing that I had to write something. Typically, I am a long time lurker of reviews and often go through endless threads to find the consensus on the best product or service. In this case with writing this review for Anthony, my experience was so great I needed to leave a review. Hopefully my review will help you determine whether working with Anthony is the right decision for you.

I decided to work with Anthony because I wanted to get another perspective on what to do in the gym to meet my goals and any insight into my own body mechanics. I'd done a good amount of movement growing up from a decade of dancing, playing volleyball in high school, being loosely introduced to strength-based movements during previous physical therapy sessions. Let's just say, I already had good body awareness and a decent understanding of function and form.

After working with Anthony for only 2 months, I went from having a broad foundational understanding of movement, to a more informed insightful look into how my body functions with specific movements. Anthony does a great job of evaluating where you are, developing a pathway of how to get to your goals and providing context and relevant information to address the why.

All in all, my training with Anthony felt like I was like going from knowing how to make a basic ham and cheese sandwich with decent store-bought ingredients, to making a decked out panini with homemade pesto, heirloom tomatoes and good quality mozzarella. If this sounds like your type of experience, I encourage you to give Anthony a try!

I highly recommend Anthony as a personal trainer for more reasons than I would have ever expected at the start of my journey with him. As many brides do, I bought my wedding dress 8 months prior to my wedding. Life happened and I ended up having emergency surgery which required me to pause my regular exercise routine for a few months. Unfortunately, approximately 4.5 months before my wedding, my wedding dress did not fit. I called Anthony and I told him the situation and how I wanted to drop 5-10 pounds before my wedding day and build muscle/get toned all over. But, I also I told him I did not want to do any extreme dieting or exercise program that would leave me starving, moody, and exhausted at the end of each day. I had participated in a diet/exercise challenge in the past where I lost weight quickly but it was not healthy; if anything, it had built unhealthy habits and wrecked my gut health. Anthony created a balanced and sustainable program uniquely for me. At the beginning of our time together, Anthony asked me to track my food for a few days so he could get to know what foods I am naturally inclined to eat so he could use that as a starting point and make suggestions for me that weren’t too crazy out of my comfort zone. In the gym, I trained with Anthony in a small group setting once a week and on my own an additional 2-3 times a week. The workouts he created specifically for me were perfect to squeeze in before work because they took about 30 - 60 minutes to complete and I didn’t have to think about what I needed to do. After a couple weeks of sticking with this routine, I was left with more energy throughout the day and in a very positive mood. I quickly started to look forward to my morning workouts as a fun start to my day. Also, on the subject of fun, the group workouts were so much fun! The other people that trained with me were really great people – Anthony has a way of creating community and bringing people together to inspire and motivate each other. Anthony is outgoing, professional, funny, and so passionate about health and wellness. He is so incredibly knowledgeable about the human body and was able to help me improve some injuries I had as well. I felt amazing after only 6 weeks training with Anthony; I met my goal after 3 months; and the full 4.5 months training with Anthony left me feeling so extremely confident and sexy and ready to celebrate my wedding and life! I plan to take the routine I built with Anthony and continue it on my own. I highly recommend Anthony as a personal trainer for anyone of any age and ability with any fitness goal!

Such a positive environment very encouraging and supportive! Gave clear correction and worked with me to create a personalized workout plan that was geared to my personal goals. Helped me find working weights that fit with what my body could do while also pushing me to strengthen areas I was weaker in. Overall one of the best coaches I’ve worked with highly recommended!

I started working with Anthony after some serious injuries and surgeries had kept me out of the gym for years followed by a pregnancy shortly after. My once strong and active body (former firefighter) simply was broken and overwhelmed from all it had been through. Anthony not only tailor made a program that worked for each injury I had he more importantly helped me build back my confidence in myself and my ability to bounce back. He taught me how to be patient with myself, to trust the work, and celebrate each victory no matter how small as they all were getting us somewhere. I achieved goals I never thought possible under Anthony's expert care. I'm just sorry I graduated from SDSU so quickly and didnt have an excuse to go down to his area anymore!

Anthony is PHENOMENAL. From the start, he has been knowledgeable, warm, and supportive. I had zero knowledge about exercise, health, or wellness. He knows how to sift through my rambles of concerns, fears, and struggles and can decipher the goals that I don't even know how to articulate. Anthony's compassion conflated with expertise provides me the most rewarding experience in the gym. If I come in feeling mentally tapped and physically limited, he adjusts my work out perfectly so that I feel healthily challenged and yet still comfortable. To see real change in my strength, body, and general spirit is invaluable. Anthony - thank you for guiding my form, educating me, and creating such a supportive, welcoming atmosphere.

I started working with Anthony in 2018 prior to entering a Law Enforcement Academy. Before starting with Anthony, I was clearly out of shape and was going to physical therapy for my back and knee. Throughout the process Anthony was phenomenal to work with and helped yo strengthen my knee and back as well as being ready to enter the academy. Each meeting, he was always checking in on me to make sure my back and knee were okay. If either ailments were bothering me that day, he would find a new exercise better suited for me. Along the journey I became the fittest I have ever been despite the hurdles of injuries. Anthony even was a great help on my nutrition and a lifestyle change. I cannot attribute my success during the academy without first thanking Anthony for his help.

If you need help with getting fit and even have prior injuries, Anthony is the trainer for you. He truly is unique and different than most trainers out there. He is genuine, honest, and works extremely hard for you and your success. He wants you to feel great as much as you do. Anthony tailored a program to my goals, which are all about running. I didn’t want to lift weights and bulk up; I wanted to get strong and be flexible. He is serious about safety and technique. He is good with instruction, but he doesn’t scream at you like a Drill Sergeant. Anthony created several circuits of body-weight exercises with some weight training to help increase my strength and flexibility. He is friendly and very knowledgeable. I highly recommend him as a trainer for anyone who is looking for a smart, personalized experience.

Since the start, he lays out all of the information a client needs right off the bat. Not only conveying professionalism but a great companion to have in the world of exercise. After having a few bad experiences and Poor follow up from other trainers, I joined the Gym Anthony was working at and became one of his first clients! I have been a client of Anthony Sawh Fitness for over 7 years, and I tell you from my own personal journey, Anthony is an amazing trainer as well as a great person.

He has truly helped me on personal journey to stay ‘functional’ for the many activities I like to do as a Semi retired Corporate America client. He is personable, professional, and extremely knowledgeable. Anthony will challenge you, but he makes it fun, by switching it up and giving you variations. The workouts go by so fast as he pushes you without overdoing it. I even have my 77-year-old mother work with Anthony at getting a personalized fitness plan and she loved it as she contends with Arthritis and join pain.

My core is stronger, my stamina and energy high and I can’t recommend “The Ant-Man” enough. Whether you are a college student, Middle aged corporate client, or a Senior citizen looking to maintain a good quality of Life, you will be happy to have Anthony guide you through your Journey!

I've been working with Anthony for about 6 years now, and he's the best personal trainer and wellness coach I've ever worked with. I'm in a strength building, stamina building, and muscle building program. He's located in San Dieco, CA and I'm in New England but Anthony expanded to taking virtual clients! We have training sessions over zoom and I also have workout routines to take to my local gym frequently updated via Google Sheets. It was a great help during the pandemic lockdowns as we didn't have to disrupt anything with out training! It provides me great flexibility and the ability to not be limited by distance. I've visited his operation in person as well to meet some others! Despite being distant from the main group I've made great connections and am still included and completely feel like one of the group. I've made more physical progress than I ever thought I good helped by Anthony's patient guidance and encouragement, professionalism, food/diet coaching, and incredible knowledge from his own professional background. He's kind and down to earth, flexible, and dedicated to delivering a good service while doing something he loves. I couldn't possibly recommend his services more!
