You’ll find thousands of people online who have had such difficulty canceling membership & they will try to overcharge you hidden fees if you want to cancel then sell it to collections. I would give this place 0 stars if I could. I am moving and have no gym where I will be living. After multiple emails of them asking me for proof of moving to cancel my membership they are trying to get another 150$ out of me. I am reluctantly compelled to share publicly what I have been put through in trying to end a membership with this merchant. If you are considering a membership with this merchant, you'll want to know just what you'll be up against in trying to get out of the choke hold they will have on you and your credit card. My own reason for terminating the member agreement is irrelevant as it should always be up to the customer, not the business, to make that decision (I moved away). The apparent business model for Anytime Fitness and this club in particular is to make it as difficult as possible for the patron to end their patronage of the club. Naturally, they want your money and they want it without fail. I have made numerous, repeated attempts for weeks to stop the club from deducting their bi-weekly fee which they have ignored. I called and could not get through to anyone, except for the one time I did and was told "I can't help you with cancellation, there are new owners and cancellation is handled by a billing company." WHAT? (Thanks for nothing, Libs). Per the language in your own use agreement, it states "you, the buyer, may cancel this agreement at any time prior to midnight of the fifth business day of the health studio after the date of this agreement, excluding Sundays and holidays. To cancel this agreement, mail or deliver a signed and dated notice, or send a telegram which states that you, the buyer, are canceling this agreement, or words of similar effect. Such notice shall be sent to ABC Financial Services at PO Box 6800, Sherwood, AR 72124." WHAT? How about I just call, you answer, and I say "I need to cancel." Well, once I finally did receive a response from ABC, I was given little information and told that I would need to mail in an additional payment in order to complete cancellation. WHY? That's not what your use agreement says. How can it be this hard to stop a merchant from taking money without my consent? I even cancelled my credit card and had it reissued, and they continue to bill. I turned the credit card off for transactions, and they continue to bill. I have spent hours and hours of valuable time calling and writing in to cancel, and they continue to bill. At this point, they are fraudulently charging my credit card and that is what I've reported to the credit card issuer, in the hopes of enforcing the rights I have under their use agreement [If the person agreeing to receive health studio services moves further than 25 miles from the health studio and is unable to transfer the contract to a comparable facility, such person shall be relieved from the obligation of making payment for services other than those received prior to the move, and if such person has prepaid any sum for health studio services, so much of such sum as is allocable to services he or she has not taken shall be promptly refunded."] What kind of a shameless corporate crook has to resort to such tactics as part of their business model, thinking that their customers are too dumb to see it for what it is? Needless to say, I would NEVER return to Anytime Fitness ever, and would never recommend them to anyone, and urge anyone who reads this to think carefully about giving up your credit card information to these crooks, who clearly violate the terms of their very own policies.

I had been a member here for over 2.5 years, and have never had an issue with the facilities or staff, however after my contract ended last month I decided to cancel my membership. I emailed them and called them and recieved no replies. I attepted 3 times to stop by the office to speak to an employee and each time they were closed during their advertised office hours. Eventually I had to ask an employee I know to text the manager my information to get my membership finally canceled.
They did end up canceling my membership but then charged me yet again. I was billed THREE times in the month of July despite trying for over 2 weeks to get in touch with them.
I would consider this incredibly poor customer service and because of it I am not likely to ever start a membership with them again.
