This place is most often frequented by homeless people using the showers, especially at night. I truly feel for the lack of options and lack of clean showers available, but on more than one occasion I have felt unsafe here at night. not to mention the SMELL. OMG.

Small gym limited equipment. And is $58 a month, so pricier than a big gym. Equipment not well maintained and the drinking fountain has been broke for over a month. Honestly only leaving a review because now that they finally put in a sauna “ recovery room” they only allow you to use it if you pay another $15 biweekly. Another thing that’s just included in a normal guy. They gouge for every penny but don’t upgrade anything. Probably switching to 24 hour soon. Close by, cheaper, more equipment, basketball courts and a sauna included in membership.

Love This Place!! Never Super Crowded which is huge for me. It is opened 24 hours a day all year long. The place is always immaculate as far has cleanliness goes as they have a cleaning team that comes multiple times a week. This place is great for someone who is just beginning or for someone who is advanced and every level in-between as they have everything from Machines, Dumbbells, Free Weights, Bands, and all types of things to do Plyometric Workouts with. The Anytime fitness gym at ‘THIS’ location is convenient for me.

Parking is easy, although it gets a bit hot under the sun.

The gym is consistently clean.

It is consistently uncrowded.

It consistently has available cardio machines: Nordic Walker, Treadmill, exercise bikes, and stairmaster machines. They also have some rowers.

For my weight loss purposes it is excellent.

They have 2 scales: One like a doctor's office. The other a digital floor scale.

They have a vending machine with drinks and cubby hole slots for your personal things.

The Wi-Fi is good also.
Under used but a nice bonus is:

A hard wood floor mirror room for I imagine aerobics and dance.

Showers in the bathrooms.

Cons. IF I think hard enough looking for a shortcoming I recall:

There was NOT a HUGE selection of free weights. I guess it was not stocked to be a muscle gym.

I imagine that because the number of people who come to the gym is low that there is enough free weights and machines for the enthusiast as long as they are not there at the same time as another.

The convenience of the gym is king as one can go to it at midnight. Safe and secure with lights and video surveillance there is always a witness for your protection.

The water machine is nice for refilling one’s water bottle. Although it is not working at this time.

Note: New construction going on in the gym. Light therapy room coming soon. Honestly, I am not sure what that is.

I’ve been going to this gym for over a year.. Lately the sanitation wipes are almost always empty or not working properly. It’s like they only stock up the one next to the weight area.. The drinking fountains have been out of order.. the membership here is pricier compared to others 24 hour gyms.. not sure where that money is going to lol thinking about canceling my membership soon which is a bummer because I like this gym.

This AF is rated much lower than the AF in San Juan Capistrano, probably because it is a much less friendly gym. Also, the water fountain was iut of order. Water bottles anyone? At age 80 and attending gyms all over the country for the past 42 years and everyday, I find this fitness club in Laguna Hills the best gym. The equipments are new, clean, and plenty of variety to suit anyone.
The club on-site manager, Salina, is the best manager of any club I have been to. She is courteous, friendly, and with an open office door to help anyone requesting for help. She greets every member who walks in by first name wishing them great workout. She also wish them to have great rest of the day when they leave. That courtesy is rare, but encouraging to all members who use the gym.
If members took responsibility to put back the equipment they used and wipe out the equipment after use, the gym would be impeccably clean and organized. There are plenty of wipes, sanitizers, and facilities to have a great workout at a great gym.
Congratulations to Salina for her friendliness, observing the club management bylaws and running a great, large, and impeccable gym. Thank you Salina for a well done management task of a great club.

I love this gym and how clean it is! Normally I write positive reviews but I had an incident recently that really bothered me regarding an employee.

I had a simple question about the membership but he answered with a very rude tone and hostile nature. I work in customer service and would never answer someone in such a disrespectful tone and let alone someone who is paying a lot of money for a membership. I would honestly cancel my membership from this interaction but now I even feel uncomfortable talking to the employees, especially since the gym itself is already intimidating to go to.

This gym stands out because it offers a well-rounded mix of equipment, including cardio, free weights, and machines, along with ample space for functional fitness training. In contrast, many other gyms focus solely on equipping one or two of these fitness needs. I appreciate the flexibility to train on my own schedule, without the pressure to rush to meet specific opening or closing times. Additionally, I don’t have to worry about missing workouts on holidays, as many other facilities are closed during those times. Furthermore, I enjoy the convenience of being able to access gyms when I travel, including internationally. I’m truly grateful to have found Anytime Fitness and this particular location.

Love this gym, for starters it’s never overcrowded and you can always find the equipment you want to use. Everyone at this gym is really nice and keeps it feeling like a small local community. I tried to cancel my plan, but they refused and said I had to commit for 2 years. They said they can process the cancellation if I show them relocation proof. I gave them my new lease in somewhere almost 2 hours away. And they are still charging me the biweekly.
Accept you lose a customer!!! I committed for one year without using it at all. Now I moved to another city, I don't wanna continue to use it. Please process the lease I have you and stop charging me service I don't use!!!

Our experience with this gym has been a nightmare and their billing practices are ILLEGAL. The Area Manager, Peter Han, is aware and allows it. Do not give your credit card information to these criminals!

In October 2022, my husband emailed his cancellation notice to the gym. They never processed it. Nearly two years later, he discovered they had continued to charge him. When he forwarded the original cancellation notice and demanded a refund, the nightmare began.

The gym's representative claimed they could cancel the membership but couldn’t issue a refund, instructing him to contact their billing company. When he contacted the billing company, they had no idea what he was talking about and directed him back to the gym, saying they needed to approve the refund, despite their representative admitting the mistake in writing.

After countless follow-up emails, he received delayed and evasive responses. Eventually, they claimed they were seeking approval from the "area manager." The rep, Peter Han, then informed us that they couldn't process the refund because it was my responsibility to confirm they had processed the cancellation – an absolutely shocking, unethical, and illegal response.

Despite clearly violating California consumer laws and their own contract, which only requires written notice for cancellation, Peter Han tried every tactic to delay and deny our rightful refund. Specifically, they are violating the California Health Studio Services Act (California Civil Code Section 1812.80-1812.98), which mandates that written cancellations be honored and processed promptly, and refunds issued for any services not rendered.

This gym blatantly disregards consumer rights and engages in unethical billing practices. We are now taking legal action to recover the money owed to us and filing complaints with the state of CA for their illegal cancellation policy, as well as with the BBB.

Please heed this warning: Do not do any business with Anytime Fitness in Laguna Hills, CA. The market is full of other options – choose a gym that respects its customers and adheres to ethical practices. Stay far away from this place to avoid the nightmare we have endured.

Unfortunately this is my home club anytime. Love anytime fitness as a whole but this one has progressively gotten worse over the last two years. Homeless people sometimes get in late at night and find a place to sleep. Gym has no worker during the day. And the worker they did have was about 15 years old and wouldn’t do anything. I’ve been calling the place for the last week trying to freeze my membership because I’m having surgery. Even went in today at 2:30pm and no on was there.

The gym itself is awesome- the community is great. I could go before and after work for a year and could always get a cardio machine, squat rack, or cable machine, and rarely had to wait more than a couple sets for a specialized machine. Everything is clean and well-maintained, and has everything you’d need. Favorite chain gym, great location, that’s all awesome. Calling them or contacting them on the website can be a massive pain the butt- so going in person during business hours is your best bet.

The gym itself is really nice, they have great equipment and machines considering how small the gym is (compared to a 24hrs or LA Fitness). My only issue was the process of getting in. It’s open 24hrs so I decided to go with my brother at around 9:30pm. We had a free pass for the week that let us try the gym before committing to a membership but upon our arrival, we found that the door was locked and required a key fob to enter. There were no employees in sight and i even looked on their website to see if they have staffed hrs, but i couldn’t find anything. I called multiple times and no one picked up, but luckily someone was exiting the gym so we just walked in after him. Things were good for the first 5-10 mins but then the guy who previously left came storming back in and started yelling at us for coming inside after him. I explained to him that we had a pass and we’re allowed to be there (I showed him our pass too) but he kept swearing at us, saying he didn’t care, we needed to leave, and that he wasn’t going to leave us alone until we get out. Keep in mind it was pretty late and I am a 19 year old girl with my younger brother in tow, so it became very apparent that this guy was trying to scare us out. In the end, he left in frustration after I stood my ground and I was able to finish the rest of my workout, but I doubt I’ll be going here again.

I signed up last week and found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. Salina, the General Manager always has a smile on her face; Brent was very patient with me as I asked a lot of questions about the equipment since I have not been to a gym in many years; and John was great when I needed help learning how to sync my phone to the treadmill program.
I actually like that it is not a huge gym, which usually means lots of noise and waiting for machines. This is a smaller facility with everyone focusing on their workout and lots of open equipment. That may be because I don't work and can go during the day when most people are at work.

Was in the area visiting some friends at Laguna Woods. I really wanted to get a work out in so I googled the nearest gyms, Anytime Fitness came up. I arrived on a Sunday morning around 945am. This particular location is 24/7 365 the door is automatically locked and you have to use a key fob to go in. I was lucky enough to have some young lady open the door. She had her airpods on and she looked so scared when I grabbed the door behind her. I said oh so you need to use a fob to open the door? She couldn’t hear me.. whatever. I look around hoping to find someone to check me in, I asked a couple members working out in the back if there were any staff working. They said there was a sign at the door that they are understaffed and no one is around. A bit odd, all signs point to join but if no one is available to help clients then why advertise?

I was very surprised at how clean the location was but it is very small, probably less than 10 cardio machines. Let’s say its small but mighty. There are 4 or 5 restrooms that have showers in them as well. There is a studio, punching bags, trx, kettle bells jump ropes…etc. They have 1 of every weight machine out there. I would have loved to workout here but I left my gym bag in the car, I knew the door would close behind me and no one would open it. So instead, I went to the LA Fitness 5 mins from there.

I have been a member at this gym for over a year and always loved the environment and cleanliness of the facility. I ended up relocating not close enough to any gym so I decided to cancel my membership. I had a whole month left to take advantage of my membership and access it along with my girlfriends (I pay for both memberships) since you pre pay a month in advance. My key fob to access the gym was immediately disabled so right in the beginning of my last month and I have not been able to access the facility to work out really? I reached out and they provided me a new key fob WICH DIDN'T WORK EITHER. I tried another location with the new key fob and same thing. I was not able to access the facility. I reached out to the general manager (she’s a sweetheart I personally like her very much) if I can get a refund for both my membership and girlfriends since the whole inconvenience of not being able to work out at a facility I paid for to access. The Anwser was no. Be careful when canceling your membership or just in all avoid even coming here with due to shady practices such as these. Very frustrating and not ethical at all to take someone’s money and not allow them to use the facility which you paid for? For this very reason I can never again recommend anyone to come to this gym let alone this brand name facility.

Great Gym - Great People!
I visited this gym in the fall of 2021 because I needed 24/7 anytime access to work-out. The manager there Salina walked me through the process she is a pro top shelf she made the program understandable and of course with her help I joined. My schedule varies but I’ve always found the gym to be clean and orderly. Also, I’ve had two complementary physical training sessions with both Brent and Dillon. These guys really know their stuff and I’ll probably sign up at the beginning of summer for some training sessions. I don’t write too many reviews but I really wanted to do this one because I highly recommend this gym.

There’s always at least one of the limited equipment that is broken, and the weights are never put away. The other members are nice but have zero to none gym Etiquette. Abductor machine doesn't go all the way for full range of motion.
Lights are insanely bright and cause issues when working out.
Considered looking like a crazy person and putting my sunglasses on because of this.
The lights make you feel dizzy and constantly squint/ have eye spots that affect your vision from the brightness.
Objects catch glare of the lights and cause aura spots in vision because of the brightness issue.
I was feeling as if I were going to faint by the brightness of the led lighting, and light headed. I literally was squinting as if the sun were almost directly in my eyes.
The showers were mopped by someone who doesn't care as I saw hair and nasty particles on the floor as if the whole place was mopped first then the restrooms, just spreading the miscellaneous dirt and particles everywhere around th shower.
Literally so disgusting in the showers, there is mold on the shower curtains.
The shower heads are so weak and it takes forever to wash because of it.
The shower heads have one stream and it's literally the lightest and weakest you can imagine.
Compared to some other anytime fitness facilities this one is among the worst.
The layout is so awkward and everywhere you look it feels as if you're being watched by other members or are invading their space/ vice versa.
The place is super small and dirty.
At least they have foam rollers at this one though.
Some other facilities don't even have foam rollers.

I go in and talk about ALL the fees etc.. ok so I'm going for it.. then while signing disclosures they charge a as semi annual "enhancement fee".. what's an enhancement fee I ask and why wasn't it disclosed? Answer, well I'm disclosing it now... How's that for professionalism?? And what is this fee, it's a newsletter they send out asking members what machines they would like to see and they buy them.. so members are buying the gyms equipment.. lol.. this is the most absurd concept and scam ever.. read the contract people.. if your good with buying the gyms equipment and being sheep, then this is the perfect gym for you...

Seriously can’t say enough about this gym and it’s employees. Been a year now with AT at this location and am sadly moving out of state. I thoroughly enjoyed all of the help Salina has given this entire time. Thankful for trainer Taylor as well, she is absolutely an amazing person. This location is always very clean, lots of equipment, well stocked and never too busy—never had any problem whatsoever. Overall, I’m thankful for this branch of ATF and will sorely miss this place. This branch and it’s employees deserve way more credit and recognition than they’re given. If you’re new to Anytime fitness and hesitant to sign up for any reason, pull the trigger on this location. I would like to clarify that at this location was another Anytime Fitness in 2019. It was closed early 2020. The current Anytime Fitness opened in November 2020 under new management, and brand new equipment. Some of the feedbacks pertain to the first AT.
The gym has many different kind of exercise equipment. The variety of the machines is similar to that of the big gyms, although it is relatively small compared to LA Fitness or 24hr Fitness.
The facility is kept very clean. I enjoy my visits, because the gym has a nice relaxed atmosphere, guests and staff alike are pleasant and helpful. Being open 24 hours allows a lot of flexibility to set your exercise schedule. Personal training is available.

Great gym! It's small in size, but all the equipment and machines are new. You need to clean yourself, which isn't so bad but may be an issue for some people. Bathrooms could be cleaner.

It's clean as you would expect since it just opened. Nothing near the size as LA Fitness or 24 nor the amount of equipment but enough for a great workout. Extremely friendly staff.

Rarely do I ever give a “second chance” review to a place that I’ve already rated 5 Stars, but I had to come back to this because after my most recent visit, this place deserves 6 Stars.

This Anytime Fitness is very new and as such, the machines are state of the art and modern (they have the newest machines I’ve seen of any of the local Anytime Fitness locations.) I find that anyone of any fitness level - from casual to athlete, novice to advanced, young adult to senior citizen - can get a complete workout here. They have a variety of beverages on site for sale when they’re staffed; something that doesn’t happen at every location with consistency. The facilities are very clean and well-maintained.

However, it’s the extras that stand out. This place offers massage therapy, which isn’t offered at most locations. Further, this is the only AF that has towel service for your workout (read: workout, not showering - Bring your own towel for that.) But it’s the personal service and gratitude that the staff display that stands out. If you go a mile for them, they’ll go two for you.

Some people may see the membership prices and think “I can get a cheaper membership at a big box gym” to which I reply “You get what you pay for”; as most of those big box gyms have shoddy service and poor maintenance (I defected from one and never regretted it) - Heck, I went to Life Time Athletic on a day pass recently and found the machines here to be in better condition - That’s not a knock on Life Time because their facility is beautiful, but really a testament to how this place tries harder.

Seriously love it here :) the owner or manager (not 100% sure) is extremely friendly and hard working. He’s always here keeping equipment up to date and clean. I am always greeted and I feel comfortable working out here. I highly recommend this facility. I’m very happy about my membership choice.

The cleanest and best maintained gym I've ever been a member at. I am glad to have found this place as I was extremely frustrated with Lifetime, Fitness 19 and LA Fitness due to the unsanitary and unfriendly environment. This Anytime Fitness is brand new and the equipment is excellent and tons of choices for machines, cardio and free weights. Parking is never and issue even though it's located in a strip mall. The people who come here are all friendly, helpful and respectful. The staff is top notch and Sergio the owner takes pride and puts all his effort into maintaining this amazing gym. Id highly recommend this gym to anyone in the area and it's probably even worth the drive if your a bit further out as it is truly a hidden gem.

Hands down the best gym in the area. My husband and I have been members of LA Fitness, Lifetime Fitness, YMCA, Planet Fitness and Fitness 19. We have seen it all. I can tell you without a doubt this gym is 1000% times better. LA fitness is constantly packed and dirty, no one cleans off their equipment and you can never find the right attachments for cables because there aren't enough. I can tell you I've never had to wait for a machine at Anytime and it's immaculately clean. Showers are clean, machines are clean, nothing is ever missing, complimentary towels too. You aren't trying to half hazardly workout around bros who are taking up a ton of room. Everyone is respectful, kind, and friendly. This is a family owned gym by Sergio and his wife and he knows everyone by name. We have considered buying a house in the area just because we love it here so much. The environment is awesome and it's a place I actually look forward to going to, which is so hard to find in a gym--especislly as a female. Truly an amazing facility we are so fortunate to have found.

Terrible customer service. I had been coming here everyday for the past few months and have been blocked for using the reatroom longer than 20 minutes. I had the stomach flu and had to use the toilet before showering. I came in at 6am as usual and was denied accesss. Then i came back at 8am and was told i had to speak to Sergio at noon. I cant do that because i start work at 11am. So now i am forced to sign up with another gym to continue my daily routine. I have only seen the owner a few times and he has never greeted me. Personally i think he has a bad attitude and upon reading other reviews I now understand that he is very rude. Anytime fitness can thank Sergio for me canceling my membership.

Do not come here if you wanna be rushed into your visit to the gym I was yelled at & disrepected verbally to the point I had to walk out just because I took long in the shower by the owner will never recommend this place to anyone!!!! Nobody should be humiliated in front of the whole gym!!!

Anytime Fitness is an awesome gym! I grew up in Texas and when I move to Southern California I was just disappointed not to find any good gyms. As soon as they open up here I signed up and I haven't been happier! I just started personal training with one of the trainers. He is very motivating and knowledgeable, plus he's really flexible and accommodating with his schedule.

I travel FULL TIME and today was my first time in this anytime fitness
-The gym is extremely clean

-Quiet space to workout
While I was there they were bringing inside new spinning bike and I believe they are updating and getting new equipment.
