I made an appointment today for a tour, and met with the manager. She was extremely nice, patient, and went above and beyond to answer all of my questions. She did not rush me, or make me feel pressured into signing up! I asked about the cell phone policy, and I must say that I 100% agree! You CAN use your cell phones, the only restriction is having loud conversations that disrupt others. I am coming back tomorrow to sign up!

I had a disappointing experience with Anytime Fitness in Livermore. Canceling my membership was a real challenge, and they continue to charge extra fees even after you’ve tried to put your membership on hold. It’s frustrating to deal with these hidden charges and lack of transparency. I hope they improve their customer service and policies in the future.

Went there twice and even wasted 30 mins waiting for the office and after calling 7 times and with voice mail no response and no one in office during office hours.
Ridiculous
Another update after this review the general manager of the location said lunch hour bla bla bla and appointment only.

This is the worst gym I have been to. I am a working women and during working week I can get calls from my work . Since when the rule of "No use of mobile phones" has started been applied on gym members. The servicedesk lady at gym came to confront me while I was using treadmill and been on work call. She asked me to stop using the phone immediately. i am never going back here. If we are noisy at phone that is a problem I understand , but I was never loud.

I have also been a member of Anytime Fitness for over 10 years! In the recent years the usage of cell phones has increased and has become a huge problem. Entitled people feel that their conversations need to be heard by the entire gym. I have seen this create longer wait times on equipment and an overall lack of concern for other people around them. No one wants to hear your entire conversation for over an hour workout! It is refreshing to have entitled members cancel. Thank You! One less member using what should be workout time for social hour. I am glad that the staff is finally bringing awareness to this problem. Anyone angered by respectfully being asked to keep their conversations outside, should leave. Thank you for doing our ears the favor!

CANCELLED my membership after 10 years of being a loyal member. The way this facility makes policies, I can no longer justify continuing.
Working out is an important part of how I relax and de-stress after a long day at work. However, I was recently informed of a new no-phone policy, which I find both frustrating and unnecessary. In today’s world, phones are commonly used during workouts — whether for music, tracking progress, personal safety, or staying connected. The way this policy was communicated and enforced by staff was not only disruptive but added stress to what should be a positive and personal time.
In addition, I believe attention would be better directed toward improving the cleanliness and maintenance of the facility. There have been ongoing issues that deserve more focus, and addressing them would significantly enhance the experience for all members.
I hope you’ll consider more flexible and balanced policies that reflect the current times and member needs. I also encourage stronger emphasis on maintaining a clean and welcoming environment.

After several years of being a member I decided to cut ties. Multiple things lead to this decision. I admit after covid I stopped going as regularly as I should have. I went in after the new owners took over to pause my account due to working continued extended hours at work, and the person in the office just passed me a card and told me to contact them. I remember doing the same thing with my wife's account right at the office, and I don't care for a lack of customer service on site.
I have a now 13 year old daughter who wants to start going with me to work out so stopped by to ascertain the age requirement and was only told she was to young. The conversation was short and it felt like I was putting the person out of their way by asking such questions. Age thing is fine, I get it, but I also know I've seen other young people there who weren't even with adults and even played music way to loud for other patrons.
Ultimately, after lack of customer service and reading more and more about discounts being offered in exchange for fake 5 star reviews online, I came to the conclusion this gym wasn't worth continuing to conduct business with.

Today they sent me an email notifying me that they have "made a courtesy adjustment to your membership": They're going to *extend my membership without my permission*, even though my initial membership did not include a renewal. The email states I need to *call them on the phone* to opt out of this. Of course, when I called the number in the email, I waited on hold for an extremely long time and the whole process took nearly an hour. In May this behavior will become *illegal* due to the FTC's click-to-cancel rule. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR BUSINESS.
UPDATE: The owner responded, "our team will be reaching out to you right away to help resolve this!". There's very little they could do to fix this; even a refund wouldn't erase this *incredibly* shady move, but it doesn't matter because they *didn't even actually contact me*.

So far so good. I had my initial tour with the manager Michelle who was very friendly and transparent. I was guided through the signup process thoroughly and it was quick and easy. I did my first workout here and it was a pretty good experience. With new equipment available to me and being a New Year’s resolution quitters day survivor, I’m looking forward to seeing how my experience at Anytime Fitness unfold.

I am joining this gym after a 3 day trial. I’ve tried out 3 other gyms in the area. This one is smaller, but clean and the equipment seems new. I don’t need a pool or a sauna. So this one is a perfect fit for me.

Michelle was very rude and disrespectful, hung up on me on the phone when I got an 80$ charge for late fees when I have been paying every 2 weeks, when I asked about how to refund my late fees she started giving me attitude and acted like she didn’t t hear me, said call this third party company if I want anything back. I asked her for the number, kept avoiding my question or went off topic, then acted stupid and hung up. I signed up through them and they’re trying to blame it on a third party company. Crazy how they will switch up on you as soon as you have payment problems. Also do not be fooled by the 5 star reviews. They force you to write something good for a deal and stand and watch you writing your review before handing anything over.
