I have used this location a few times now while traveling and have had no issues with my visits. It's a busy location but has ample equipment and facilities. Everything is clean, everything works. Members are friendly, parking is easy. Great location.

I have been at Anytime Fitness Novato for a month now and it honestly is the best gym membership I have had in my life. I went to sign up today, met the manager Miguel, and ended up spending an hour talking. He addressed all my concerns, showed me all of the different safety features in the gym, all of the machines and even helped me figure out who would be the best trainer for me based on my needs. This review is LONG overdue.

A bit about me: I've been going to AF for 3-4 years now. Moved to Novato from SF 8 years ago. I was a Olympic Club (City) member so I'm somewhat accustomed to top notch facilities, not to sound like a snob. When I first moved to Novato I joined Rolling Hills. It was OK; I felt the facility, especially the machines and such to be super dated and the community was just weird to me. Recently, I joined Marin Country Club, but I will NEVER give up my AF membership.

Now this is nothing against previous managers, there's a reason Moises got promoted...

BUT, since Miguel took over there's a certain level of hustle and cleanliness that I haven't seen. He seems to be constantly cleaning, organizing or wiping down something. Even the little things, he's all over.

To me, AF is the perfect mix of friendly faces, cummunity and 'leave me alone and let me do my thing.'

There's 3 bathrooms (always clean), 2 with showers and a entire, separate upstairs floor for floor exercises, stretching and Aerobic/HIIT exercises.

This Anytime Fitness location is great. I was able to walk in & get a tour of the gym (which includes a downstairs area with cardio machines, free weights, and resistance machines, an upstairs area with kettlebells and free weights and plenty of room for stretching, and a red light therapy bed and body scanning machine) and learn about the rates. I love the fact that it's open 24/7 with a fob, so I can come in whenever. Miguel was super friendly and informative and the sign-up process was simple but thorough. He made sure that I understood how the gym was operated and gave me a business card to reach out if needed. The price is very affordable but the gym is in great shape. Super excited to start here!

Toured local gyms in Novato in November 2024 determined to join after 25 years not lifting. Was skeptical of Anytime Fitness as being too small to properly serve my goals lifting weight for hypertrophy because I've lived by the shopping center for a decade and figured "there's no way this gym is adequate." It was the last gym I toured and it's the one I joined.

CLEAN & VERY WELL MAINTAINED!!!!! Well Equipped!!!! Especially considering it is on the smaller side, it has a full array cardio equipment, free-weights, weighted machines and cable-machines, a large auxiliary "exercise room," convenient location (3 blocks from my house), OPEN 24/7 [way more important than a lot of people realize] and the management is AWESOME!

It does NOT feel cramped like one of the other smaller gyms in Novato.

I walked in, sat down with Miguel, the manager, and discussed my motivation and goals, and membership cost, and he suggested I come back and do a couple days of workouts with a day-pass to make sure it would work for me.

Long story short, I joined a few days later, after a couple solid workouts, confirming they have all the equipment I need and plenty more to grow with over time. So whether beginner, intermediate, or advanced, this gym will suit your needs.

Stoked on my decision as I haven't missed a workout since joining and prefer going between 6-7am.

One of the worst anytimes i have visited. The shower rooms where you are forced to change are disgusting(cramped, water everywhere, and assaulted with paper products). The upstairs room has a low ceiling, no music(forced to hear others gym grunting), is generally dingy, and spiritually oppressive imo.

You will be valued more anywhere else. The owner solely cares about profits, which is surely the purpose of a business, but at what cost? Your hard earned money and time! Check your statements for over charges, because they are commonplace at this establishment. If you’re seeking personal training that has been discontinued because Grant wants more money! I’ve had (former) clients who have been over charged and instead of being issued a refund their contracts were terminated! First they fired the training manager, then considered firing the staff, only to cancel the entire personal training program in itself! What about all those funded sessions people payed for? Some people even had charges being made on contracts that haven’t begun? Sounds like the opposite of honesty! The amenities are sub par and do not justify the membership price! You should bring PPE for those bathrooms! Watch your step you might trip on a weight that hasn’t been put back where it belongs! Parents be wary of working out with children because active drug users are allowed to do as they please!

I am generally in the gym in the morning and it’s a vibrant and friendly, welcoming environment. Glenda, one of the personal trainers is always there in the morning and bring tons of energy to whole facility, not only the clients she is training. Lamont is a fantastic training manager, his calm demeanor and matter of fact style of training is contagious and he goes out of his way to make everyone feel welcome. Moises, the manager does a great job of keeping the facility in excellent shape, he’s friendly and responsive.
