Awesome gym! Super clean, great staff, great patrons with a mix of both young and old.

My only complaint is that there have been several roof leaks and other service issues at this building and it seems management is slow to fully repair/remediate the problems.

Edit: Literally a few hours after posting my review, anytime fitness management responded to my message with extreme maturity and responsibility for the leaks I wrote about. I’m blown away with that responsiveness and care to their patrons and it gives me the upmost confidence that this is definitely the best gym in Pacifica to invest your money and time in! I can’t recommend them enough.

P.P.S. Their bathrooms always smell nice and the cleaning staff are there every day. I can’t emphasize how nice this is compared to many gyms that neglect cleanliness.

Showers aren’t cleaned or serviced often, but gym hasn’t been overly crowded and they have most gear I’m looking for except for soft boxes to do boxes jumps and more cross fit equipment.

I travel for work and visit numerous locations across the state, and I have to say the entitlement of the patrons at this gym is unbelievable. How beautiful the scenery outside of the gym must give them a larger than life mentality but my three trips to this specific location have been my worst three gym experiences. If you think your shit doesn’t stink and want to make people uncomfortable at 5 in the morning this location is for you

I had to cancel due to loss of job and apparently that is not a valid reason to cancel a gym membership without having to pay a 200 dollar penalty. Very sad. The gym overall is just ok; not the best, not the worst.

I have been meaning to write this review for a long time. The staff here is very friendly but honestly this business just wants your money. They make you sign up for an over priced contract that lasts of a year, which I was okay with because they offered an option to freeze your subscription. Half way through I was going through unexpected emergencies and also realized that this was not the gym for me because I was paying so much money and it didn’t really offer what I personally needed. I stopped going and I freezed my contract. I decided to ride it out until my year was up, even though I wasnt going anymore because I signed a contact. However even then, it was very difficult and took a long time for me to finally cancel. They dont really care about whether youre happy with your experience, they just want to get as much money out of you as they can. I know the workers are just doing their job so I dont blame them at all. After a whole year, I couldn’t cancel because I had to pay for the time that my contract was frozen. So I had to keep waiting and paying $70 a month for something I was not using. And when the time was finally up, they tried charging me for an extra month because I needed to give them a one month notice, when I have clearly been trying to cancel for a long time. Thankfully they at least only charged me for half a month ($30). There was nothing I could do because I signed a contract, but their policies are very greedy and money driven.

We were visiting my brother in El Granada & my 3 teens needed a place to work out for a week. They offered a week pass at a reasonable price. The facility met their very high expectations & the staff was very kind, helpful & accommodating. The environment there felt relatively safe at the times we went.

My husband and I love this Gym for many reasons. The first reason are the people that work there. They are friendly, caring, and very informed about reconstructing your body. This Gym has everything you need to get a full workout. It’s always clean and it’s called Anytime Fitness because it’s open 24/7.

I love the atmosphere there.. everyone seems to be pretty friendly and eager to work out! it's super clean and spacious. I love the fact that the ellipticals and the treadmills face the window so you can people watch while you work out!

My favorite of the half dozen or so locations I've been too. Friendly staff and members. Lots of easy parking. Lots of space in the gym. Clean stocked showers and bathrooms. Lots of natural light. Everything works. Big recommend.

Enrolled with this gym in December 2023 as monthly membership because my wife needs to relocate for work. We were unsure if the place we are going have next has anytime fitness and asked them for their cancellation policy. They made us fill the form and told us they won’t process it until we give them heads up. Somehow someone processed it and cancelled my wife’s membership. She had to enroll into different anytime fitness again. So basically she paid twice for nothing. What a poor customer service and communication.

They asked us to Pacifica location to fix it but don’t have time with busy work schedule.

Best they could have done was not charge her enrollement fees twice when it’s AF staff mistake. I would give zero star if I could

The club is alright, but in the age of, frankly any modern communication (not even internet, just fax and phones) there's absolutely no excuse for making someone come to your physical location to cancel a membership, or to require that you give 30-day notice as if you're their employee. And they're particularly attached to their predatory corporate policies, it seems, at this branch where they threatened me with collections for like $90 in outstanding membership fees because my debit card had just expired. They will also absolutely bomb your phone with their calls during the day, this has gone on for a month. In a world of scummy gyms, Anytime Fitness still manages to stand out somehow.

I did a trial at this anytime fitness location last month. I live in SF but I just love the convenience and people at this location (and I drive to San Mateo a few times a week). Ample parking, a beautiful beach right across the street, good, working, clean facilities and machines. I enjoyed partnering with Sarah to understand the gym more and team fitness, along with how to use the membership at other anytime locations. I ended up not joining due to the team fitness sharing the same space/room as the main gym. I personally have PTSD, so it may not be everyone's feeling, but 60% of my gym time is group fitness classes, but usually they have in a separate, volume-focused (i.e. less noise pollution), non-wandering eyes/pressuring feelings, room, where we all can embarrass and sweat together:). This one has dedicated space, but again it is right on the main space, so for me it didn't work, but for real , the staff and members are nice.Even speaking to a group fitness trainer (female) she was so warm, I certainly would have loved to take her classes. Overall, they gave me great advice based on my feedback and needs. I truly think this is a respectable, solid gym, and definitely one to check out!

They schedule people first then provide absolutely no way to contact them. They would send you emails & texts for confirmation & even after confirming they are a no show. I enjoy anytime fitness. This location is amazing. Very friendly staff and very clean. It does have times it gets super crowded, but for the most part, this location is amazing if you have a membership. aside from the fear of wasting fuel from the drive, some equipment lacking, the staff, the versatility of equipment, the abundance of parking and what the company says “anytime” is literally anytime, i had my doubts about this gym, but after the interactions, variety of equipment and how friendly, helpful and personable they are, this gym is definitely one of my top favs!

I left 24 Hour Fitness during the pandemic after 10 years of membership. I'm much happier with Anytime Fitness. Staff and other members are friendly, the equipment is modern and in excellent shape, and I appreciate the company’s philosophy (10 minutes or 10 miles, anytime). I love that I have nationwide 24/7 access, but Pacifica is my favorite. The gym is super well-maintained, and seems to be kept clean with pride. Thank you for creating such a healthy space, and welcoming us in with a smile!

Have been a member for a year. Large clean facility in good repair with the right equipment.

I have been training with Paul for three weeks. I noticed him training another client and it was immediately obvious that he knew what he was doing. Hasn’t let me down. Super knowledgeable and focused and is able to dial in just the right exercises for me and explain why they work. I work best with a trainer who is someone I want to emulate, and Paul is.

Open 24/7! Best gym ever. The best part is you can go ANYTIME. I have been here at 3am and had the gym to myself. I can get a workout anytime, just like having your own garage gym that you can mosh in.
