It is a good gym and gets the job done. There are always free weights available, several racks, and a wide range of machines to target the various muscle groups. The coaches/staff there, although I had not taken classes myself, are kind and friendly and willing to help out the general gym population. Only thing is that it is a little tiny for the most popular hours, but that is most likely everywhere in SJ. Overall, very satisfied experience.

Been coming since it first opened (last year) and Im still a loyal customer. Its an easy paced environment and even during peak hours it doesnt seem overwhelming over packed. The place might seem smaller but theyve got pretty much everything!! I tried a few other gyms in the area and walked right out to come back. You really cant beat the vibe here!

I’ve been going to this Anytime since they opened. I tend to go in the mornings around 7am-9am and have gone in the evening “peak” hours. During both of these times I’ve never had any issues using equipment or machines. They free up pretty quickly if they are being used.

Overall this location is very clean!! As soon as you walk in you will notice the clean atmosphere.

They also have a good variety of machines so I’ve never had issues finding what I needed or a good alternative.

The interactions I’ve had with the staff have always been pleasant. Very friendly people.

I was transferred to this location after visiting several times as it was closer to my workplace. Anytime in general is a great concept for gyms and served me well, but i feel like the SJ location is the top tier version you could have and I am dissapointed that it doesnt work for me logistically to go here any more. The equipment is very up to date and comprehensive and the facility is almost always spotless. Would definitely recommend it as an option for any one who's shopping for gym memberships!

Best anytime fitness in this area. I love it that they have an air bike (if you don’t know what this is, it is a cardio bike where you can have a killer workout in just five minutes). Hard to say goodbye to a place I enjoyed working out after long work days. Team members always friendly. Jasmine was super helpful when I had questions. There's nearby businesses where you can walk to the nearby bookstore or coffee shop before/after your workout! I came into town for a work trip and needed a place yo get a quick workout in. This Anytime fitness location was amazing the moment I walked in. Jasmine and the other worker in the office were SO kind and accommodating as soon as I walked in. The place had all the equipment I was looking for and everything was so clean and well kept. I felt safe leaving my belongings in the cubby area while I got my workout in. I can’t recommend this place enough! Will definitely be back every time I come into town!

I dropped by this Anytime Fitness spontaneously while visiting the area and had a superb experience: I was welcomed warmly by multiple staff members and had no trouble getting a day-pass.

Jasmin helped me get registered quickly and efficiently, and only elaborated on membership options when I asked. She also gave me a brief but helpful overview of the gym before letting me get on with my training.

The facility is spotless, well-maintained, and has a comfortable atmosphere. I noticed that members consistently wipe down their machines after use, and overall the gym culture at this facility seems very positive. If I end up moving to the area, I’ll definitely be considering a membership here!

I’ve been working out at this gym for 2 months now, and it’s truly a hidden gem! The cleanliness is exceptional — the floors, machines, and locker rooms are always spotless, which makes every visit feel comfortable and refreshing. The staff is another highlight; everyone is incredibly friendly, professional, and always ready to assist without being overbearing.

The equipment is top-notch and well-maintained, with the latest machines and free weights that cater to all workout needs. I never have to worry about machines being out of service. One of the best aspects is the crowd size — it’s never too busy, even during peak hours. I can complete my workout without waiting around, which is a huge plus.

This place is pretty awesome, and clean! This is one of the cleanest gyms I’ve ever been to. The staff is friendly, very helpful AND approachable, which makes a big difference. They showed me how to navigate through the app to set up a good fitness plan for the year, with weekly goals. The app is full of other good stuff to keep me on track and stay connected. I’m looking forward to joining their group training sessions soon, they also have personal trainers. Looks like they have all the equipment one might need, machines, free weights, etc. and showers. Easy to park and easy to enter, with your own key. I don’t have to worry about someone having to be there or the doors being locked, (unless I break the rules!?!). I just need a nice, clean, and SAFE place to workout, and to not be bothered. I think this is the place for me! I hope this info helps.

I was driving by when I noticed the new Anytime Fitness location on the Alameda in San Jose. I stopped in to check it out and met with the friendly manager, Jasmine, who showed me around. I have to say, I'm impressed with this place. It features all Matrix equipment, has it's own parking lot, has a red light therapy bed and is a clean, spacious and modern gym. I've gone to other Anytime Fitness locations and by far this one is the best!

I've been going to their San Jose location but this one is closer for commute purposes. The Alameda location is as nice, clean, and friendly as the other one. The owners are always so welcoming and warm. Their trainer, Megan, has been taking the small group trainings. She always challenges us and makes the workouts interesting! Would definitely recommend!

I don’t usually write reviews, but I just had to for Jasmine, Aaron, and the cleanliness of the gym. Aaron gave me a tour the first time I visited, and I really appreciated that he wasn’t pushy about sales. He was very friendly and considerate - It gave me the space to explore the gym on my own and make my own decision. He was also super responsive to my messages. On my visit to actually try out the gym, I met Jasmine, who was incredibly welcoming, polite, and helpful. She listened to all my concerns and answered every question, making me feel safe and welcome. This left a lasting impression and it means a lot to have someone sincerely listen, address all concerns, and be transparent. Although the gym is new, it’s clear the staff takes cleanliness and quality seriously, and it definitely feels like every penny is worth it. I decided to check out this Anytime Fitness location since it's close to home. I usually go to the Santa Clara location, but honestly, that place has become dirty, smelly, and outdated.

From the moment I walked into this gym, I was impressed! Everything is new, clean, and modern. The machines are updated, the weights are better, and the space is much larger. I especially appreciate the abundance of free weights, squat racks, and platforms—plenty of options for strength training without waiting around.

This location has definitely set the bar higher for what I expect from a gym. Highly recommend it if you're looking for a well-maintained and spacious workout environment! It reminded me of several anyimefitness locations around the world ive been to.

AF on The Alameda is now open and it’s the nicest gym I’ve ever been to. This is the same ownership as the Branham location, and it’s obvious that they want to maintain the same positive atmosphere for their members.

As expected, the staff is friendly, and the facility is both clean and well maintained. This gym is huge, and it has a zillion options for machines and free weights.

This gym is a no-brainer recommendation; they are worth a look even if you’re just curious about getting started.

I’m not exactly a gym person, I’ve tried different places but nothing stuck.
