Extremely disappointing customer service and policies.
I was a member here before and had to cancel due to international travel. A few months ago, I rejoined, but I hardly used the facility again since my travels restarted. Unfortunately, I noticed a visible decline in maintenance and cleanliness compared to before.

What’s worse is that canceling the membership is nearly impossible — they only allow it if you move 20+ miles away, have a medical condition, or pay a $250 buyout fee, even in genuine cases like extended international travel.

When I rejoined, I was also pressured to leave a 5-star review immediately. At the time, I did, because I had genuinely liked the gym before. However, after this experience, I feel that the positive reviews do not accurately reflect the current reality of their service or management.

Should I read others reviews before re-joining.

Gym is small, which isn't necessarily a bad thing for a gym but when the small size is combined with the state of disrepair & janitorial & hygienic neglect, I have to say it's up there as one of the worst Anytime Fitness' I've been to, along with the one on Watt Ave in Sacramento.

The owner can accept money from obviously homeless people, but won't use that money to keep the gym clean from the dirtiness said aforementioned homeless bring to the gym, LOL. I remember one time I came here maybe 2 years ago & the bathroom was completely flooded one morning, Im assuming bc of a homeless person, the owner came in fuming & had to clean it up. So, Im assuming the filth & neglect stems from the owner's apathy of having to deal with the unkempt homeless people but it's still on the owner to address it & deal with it in a better way because ALL 24 hour gyms in CA have to deal with homeless & they all aren't as bad as the 2 I mentioned.

I joined this Gym in January of this year, unfortunately for me, in March i was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer requiring surgery and several rounds of Chemo. I sent an email to their billing group to cancel my membership due to my current condition, they declined to cancel until i provide a note from my Doctor, which I did, however they denied the request again. They stated that the letter provided did not specifically state " i am unable to workout", so they continue to bill.

In my opinion, this is NOT right, their actions are appalling and disgusting.... All of this grief for $240.00 remaining on my contract.... How badly do they need that cash???

Avoid this place, so many other reputable place to get healthy, but it's not here!!!

1) Elliptical machine has been out of service for months
2) leg press machine is broken for days. So is the triceps/biceps pull. Basically it might go days before broken equipment is fixed and with limited equipment to start off in the first place, your workout plan gets messed up. The only good thing is that they have AC, otherwise a lot of exercises you can just do at home if you have weights.
3) hidden mid year fees - $35. They won't tell you during sign up
4) towel papers not filled regularly
5) old torn off weights. For example 50lb might be 47 because of the torn off rubber
6) bathrooms not clean. I live 2 mins away so I just return to home whenever I need to use the restroom.
7) reviews look good on Google and Yelp as they ask you to give good reviews when you join.

My suggestion to anyone signing up is to do the monthly signup, not yearly, as you might not be happy with the facility.

The gym itself is fine and has good facilities, but be aware: the management does not provide a copy of signed membership documents, even when formally requested. They also refuse to cancel memberships, claiming that proof of relocation is insufficient, despite clear supporting documentation.
They will try to keep charging you without providing any service. Customer service has been very disappointing. I’m upset, as I enjoyed using the gym and had planned to return in the future. Sadly, after this experience, I will not be coming back.

They finally hit new 70lb dumbbells and staff definitely upgraded with new management. My only problem is that on weekends the bathrooms are nasty and bug infested. They need a cleanup person in beginning and end of day. Came to workout at 9:30 pm on Saturday night and found a cockroach. Crazy stuff. If they clean up the bathrooms then this can be some a good gym.

It has all the essentials which is great for a small gym. Could use some upgrades on the plate weights (some are broken, there are only two 25 pound plates), a second free-weight bench press, another pull-up station with angled handles (the only good one is a part of the only bench press, so usually not available), and more foam rollers.

I been coming to this gym for the last month, so far, so good. My only concern is that i'm a little to big for their stair machine, so I have to loose weight to be able to wear the stair machine belt. Also, why is the water in the dispenser not cold? Not well maintained nor clean!
Broken machines, no privacy from the outside like the other locations with the cardio machines. Out of date equipment and not maintained. You can see so many wires stripped with this equipment. Even the floor looks nasty. Tried to use the old single stair master they have… completely broken. Smells like mildew in there too.

This Is Discrimination⚠️ I want to file a complaint for discrimination and unfair treat at this gym!

I am utterly shocked and heartbroken by the treatment I received at this gym. I believe I was unfairly targeted and discriminated against under the excuse of “violating the rules” — twice — and had my membership abruptly cancelled. Let me explain exactly how these so-called violations happened.

First “Violation” — I Didn’t Have a Key Because I Wasn’t Fully Registered Yet

On my first visit, I had just signed up through OnePass but hadn’t completed the in-person registration process, so I had not yet been given a key. There was no doorbell, no clear entry instructions, and no visible contact method. I stood outside but had no way to alert anyone inside to my presence. When someone else opened the door, I briefly stepped in to seek help from staff. They appeared busy, so I quietly stepped back outside and waited respectfully on a bench for almost ten minutes before trying again.

This simple attempt to ask for assistance—during my very first visit, as a new member without a key—was somehow labeled a “violation.” I was shocked. How could I have followed the correct procedure when no one had explained it and I didn’t yet have the key needed to enter?

Second “Violation” — Treated Without Basic Human Dignity

The next day, I returned—this time still without a key, since the registration process hadn’t been completed. The same staff member recognized me as someone who had just signed up. I wasn’t trying to enter to work out—I simply explained that I had left my water bottle inside the day before and wanted to retrieve it, which would have taken less than 30 seconds.

Instead of showing empathy, she completely ignored me, continued a phone call, and left me standing in the freezing cold. I wasn’t allowed to stay near the door for warmth. She even said she would call the police if I tried to go in—just to get something that belonged to me.

Humiliated and Heartbroken

I felt devastated and completely dehumanized. I cried from frustration and helplessness. And instead of checking if I was okay, she told me my membership had been cancelled—for “disturbing” others.

Disturbing—by being cold, upset, and asking for help?

I was treated differently, unfairly, and with no empathy. My membership was cancelled not because of real violations, but because I was seen as someone unworthy of basic respect. That is discrimination.

Update: I joined this gym in September 2023 and it continues to be a great place to work out. Though some may say it's small, it's a perfect spot to get some cardio or resistance training in. I never have trouble finding something to do here, even during high traffic times. I actually love how approachable and un-intimidating this location feels as I build up confidence to try more exercises.

I hate leaving reviews but I feel as if I should warn people looking for gym memberships. Firstly, the 4.6 star rating is quite deceptive and comes from bribery. When I was first signing up, I was told if I left a good review I would get an extra discount. I am assuming that’s why this location has good reviews.

I am extremely disappointed at the price point of this membership and the maintenance and upkeep of the gym. Some machines have been broken for months, paper towels and spray bottles don’t get refilled regularly, trash bins overflowing, nothing gets cleaned. It has been getting worse lately too. I’m attaching photos to show a realistic picture of what you would be paying for if you join this gym. If I could cancel my membership, I would. I have a sensitive immune system and I don’t even feel comfortable coming to this gym because of how dirty it is.

Website advertised a 7 day trial to try out the gym. Signed up and got a call from staff saying to come in during staffed hours to activate the pass. Arrived during staff hours and the guy gives a tour of the facility and at the end tells you the pass only is for 1 day. Claims that the key fobs for entry are not being returned and and even if they are retuned they are not reprogrammable (?) Not sure how much of that is true but will not even honor the 7 day trial if you come in during staff hours and don't even need the key fob if staff can let you in. Huge bait!

I could have given -1 star if there existed any. The membership cancelling process is soooo ridiculous, I've submitted my request to cancel on Dec 16th 2024, and they still charged me three times after that, totally ignoring the cancellation request. Every time I inquiry about the status of cancellation, I got response saying either they didn't receive the request, or the cancellation is still pending. And today I got a text message from them asking me to update my credit card since they got issue billing my account. What a hilarious joke. Like they don't understand English at all.

[WARN]. AVOID this gym!!
We requested membership cancellation in mid December last year and still get charged in January. We sent multiple emails to ask about it but they are just replying some nonsense saying they require 30 days notice in advance and didn't receive our cancellation request, though we have the email screenshot proving that they actually have it. Appreciate the kind and safe ambiance this place provides. While employees are on site, they do their best to keep areas tidy and clean. They will not hesitate and always ensure everyone's safety.

Unfortunately, I don't agree with people on the cleanliness side of things. It seems these positive reviews are encouraged during sign up. The shower stall and bathroom fixtures are caked in scum, the baseboards have months worth of dirt and dust, and all of the machines have an even layer of dust on any surface that isn't often touched. The only TRX band seems to be cut in half and covered in dirt, too. This isn't a day or two missed, these things have been ignored for a LONG time.

The rowing machine has a strap issue making it practically unusable, although that can be fixed with a screwdriver and some time.

The gym is clearly dated with the paint scheme and some torn up plates but that's never a bother, it just shows it's been well used. A very deep clean and some maintenance could fix the main problems here.

Beware of the hidden charges. Very unprofessional service. They are always ready to get you sign up lengthy contracts but when you want to cancel, they will be ignoring your requests and make sure you are trapped to pay for another month by using hidden policies. They also charge gym maintenance fee of 80 dollars twice a year even if you are enrolled for 3 months. So let's say you enrolled on 29th Jan, and they charge for prior 6 month maintenance fee on 2nd Feb, they will still bill you that amount even though you have stayed for 2 days with them !!! That's unacceptable. Stay away !! I signed up for a month to month service and instead of 3 months of enrollment of 80 dollars per month, I ended up paying 160 dollars extra for their dishonest and false information.

Two days after we signed up, was charged a maintenance fee that apparently gets charged every 6 months. Once I canceled, they said I would no longer be billed but they went ahead and charged anyway. It’s been a constant struggle as the customer service is argumentative, in my opinion.

It’s just okay. There is not enough machines for a busy day what so ever, it gets packed like sardines and the size doesn’t help the matter. I really wish they’d add more cable machines, and update some of their equipment. Assisted pull up machine is losing the grip and ripped, the glue sticks to your hands when using it. Every time I finish using the free weights my hands are dirty, so not a fan of that. Gave three stars because the staff is nice, and on a decent day you can get an average work out in.

I love how I had to be let into the gym! It makes me feel secure knowing not everyone can walk in. I met up with Dan one of the staff members who gave me a tour of the gym and although it isn’t large, it still carries all the supplies one would need to get fit! I have been with Anytime Fitness for several years and have been proud of being a AF user. However, this branch is the worst AF I have visited around the globe. Specifically, they have very bad ventilation system and consequently very unpleasant indoor air quality. I messaged them and my complaint was completely ignored. Apart from that, they have probably the smallest area (even smaller than the AF in Hong Kong), very old equipment, only one rack for squat/bench press, and limited machine offerings. Such a shame for the Anytime Fitness branding.

This is my first review of any business but I have to speak what I have been thinking for the last few months. I have been to quite a few gyms. 24 Fitness, Fitness 19 and all the rest that are sprinkled across my area. Luckily, one night I decided that I was tired of bouncing from one place to another, it was time to find something more permanent. Hopping on the computer I found this Anytime Fitness location very close to my house and the next morning I decided to check it out. Walking in I immediately was greeted by a friendly and happy staff member who showed me around the place. No pressure, no sales tactics. Just a person showing you something you didn't know about before. The place is clean. EXTREMELY CLEAN. I mean I was shocked by how clean it is. After the tour I decided to sign up for the 1 year membership and has been to this gym since then. It has now been a little over 8 months and I couldn't have been more satisfied with the atmosphere, the top of the line equipment and the 24 hour ease of access with your own personal key :) Love this place. Thank you to the staff and the owner for making a great environment for gym junkies!
