I moved to CA recently, and had only visited Anytime Fitness in a different state previously, in which I was not impressed. However, upon my first visit to this location, I was treated with the upmost kindness, respect, and professionalism. Allen was very welcoming, informative, and not pushy whatsoever. I immediately signed up, and have thoroughly enjoyed myself since. The facility has everything I require to obtain my goals, the staff is always around to assist and answer questions, and most everyone seems very friendly. I highly recommend this place whether you are a beginner, intermediate, or veteran in your physical fitness journey.

Ventura gym is nice. I really love their 2 free senior classes each week focused on stretching, core strengthening, balance, light muscle training & breathing. I’ll do treadmill & weight machines when not in class.

Nice gym, good variety of equipment, clean. Only issue I have is the retired men in the morning. They all take multiple machines at a time and will stay on those machines for 20-30 minutes. If 1 person takes 2 machines for that long, and there are multiple people doing that at the same time, it means 1/4 of the equipment is not available for other people. For a small gym, and for people like me who have a limited time before they have to go to work, it's extremely frustrating and inconsiderate on their part. Wish the gym would do something about this, maybe signs or something?

Great place to work out, really good trainers who listen, good for us who have experienced a lot of life. Especially if you have injury related chronic challenges. They never push to over train. I’ve been to locations in Denver, Co., Phoenix, Columbia, Mo. one or two in Kansas, Palm Springs. This gym is larger with mor equipment by far than any I’ve visited. They were all nice but most were smaller.

I really enjoy working out at Anytime Fitness!

The location is right off the freeway which makes it easy to fit a workout into my schedule. The gym is clean and has tons of great equipment.

The only small thing is that the showers can sometimes be busy in the mornings. I've noticed this a few times, and while it can be a little inconvenient, I try to be understanding. You never know what someone else is going through.

Overall, Anytime Fitness is a great gym with a lot to offer. The convenient location, cleanliness, and great equipment make it a winner for me!

This is the worst Anytime Fitness I’ve been to. The facility is dark and dirty. Many fluorescent bulbs need to be replaced. There is a dank smell that permeates the air. Equipment often damaged. Benches are broken. Ceiling tiles are missing and there is even a piece of equipment someone is apparently too lazy to remove instead putting a sign on it for someone to take it for free. I HATE working out here, but it is the closest place for me to go. This place is miserable.

I saw ONE men’s restroom and a SEPARATE room for the men’s shower. ??? So you have to go from one room to the other if both are required.
Wonder how many are peeing in the shower out of convenience…
Meanwhile, someone is probably waiting for the other one that you need.
I didn’t even bother changing, drove to Camarillo location.
Corporate should fund a remodel for 4 unisex combo rooms.

I've already submitted a cancellation of my membership weeks ago. I'm a martial artist and work out at both the UFC and Anytime fitness. The problem I have and why I'm cancelling if people sitting on all the equipment in the evening not working out and on their phones. It's hard to really get in the rhythm of your workout at night because people feel very entitled and have this I got here first attitude. They won't let you work in with them when they clearly aren't using the equipment. It's bad. Last night was my cardio and body weight day so people on the equipment really didn't affect me although I did have to wait several minutes to use the stair so someone could sit on top to send text but while I'm up there someone was using the lat row machine another on cables and another on the bench machine while another person was on the biceps. Nobody working out tho just scrolling. Y'all need to fix that or it'll be hard to retain serious gym patrons

Terrible communication from the team, no one opens the front door when you get there when it’s LOCKED during team working hours so it’s not like I was going to their gym when their hours were closed, these people don’t do their job properly. I love the 24 hour option because I work odd schedules from home and having a home gym does not help get you out into the world, so I just joined. The place is well equipped for sure, and usually not busy. My only request so far is that speed bag and heavy bags be put into a more sound proof area. I do the speed bag several times a week now, but it is loud so I try to do it when no one is there :/

I was interested in signing up at this gym, but when I showed up there was nobody on staff present. I’m not sure if that is normal at anytime fitness as I’ve never been to one. The ratio of girls to guys is higher than most gyms which is always a plus. Also, the environment doesn't feel like San Quentin like most gyms around the area (powerhouse ahem hem). Hardly ever have to wait for a machine. The only thing this gym lacks is a jacuzzi and rope to climb.
