Aqua tech doesnβt have any policy for kids with any kind of disability. My daughter who is type 1 diabetic going to aqua swimming since 2023. And in January 2024 there was a manager I donβt remember her name she didnβt have uniform on. I talked to her about my daughter being diabetic and sometime she canβt come due to her BG not being stable and loose her make up token because we canβt report the time to be eligible for the token. She told the employee there to allow my daughter a make up token if she canβt make it on her class even if itβs 10 min before her class. After that never had any issues that I have to request the make up token after their required time frame. Yesterday, on june25th. Her BG was not staying normal and I had to call the doctor and I canceled her class but it 1.5 hour before her class. Than I called and explained the situation and the person who was on call was so rude and he was not understanding the situation and keep talking about their 2 hour prior policy. He could see itβs written in her chart and he was keep ignoring and making me feel that I am lying and I just want to get a token. This is so frustrating. They donβt have any policy for kids with some disablity

My 5 year old was terrified to even get her head wet in the bathtub prior to us attending AquaTech. A few short months later, it is her absolute favorite place to go. The staff are kind and the environment is so safe. I would 100% recommend this place to anyone who has a nervous/scared toddler.

Love AquaTech Swim School. I've went there for about a year and a half so my 9 year old kid could learn to swim. My kid didn't know how to swim at all when they started, and the goal was to get them to a point where we could safely go to a waterpark or swimming pool and they can be comfortable. This school delivers on that. They have a very methodical approach and my kid didn't move up level until they were ready. I'd say the only drawback to that method is that the class can feel repetitive so I made sure to tell my kid to ask the teacher what they should be working on and what to do differently exactly so they can achieve their goal and get to the next level. After a year and a half of weekly 30-minute class, my kid went from Seahorse to Tigershark level, but of course this is going to be different for every kid. My kid loves swimming in general so they were very motivated to learn.
Overall, I'd recommend this school.

We love AquaTech Swim School! We've been attending the Concord location for our daughter's first swim lessons - she started classes at 7 months old. We decided to start her getting comfortable with large bodies of water in anticipation of a vacation we had coming up close to her 10 month birthday, and weren't sure how things would go starting her a bit on the younger side. From the moment we arrived for our first tadpole lesson at AquaTech Concord, the staff was so welcoming, kind, and helpful! The facilities themselves are clean, well laid out, and they have a nice waiting area for parents to watch their kiddos swim as they become older and more advanced with lessons. (We attend class with our little one, since her tadpole classes include 1 parent or guardian in the water with them). Overall, each instructor seems to go above and beyond to make your little ones feel comfortable and confident in the water by using fun songs, toys, and games. The tadpole classes we attended were fantastic as well because the instructors took the time to thoroughly explain the drills we were doing, as well as how it would benefit baby in the water and ways we could practice at home if you had a bathtub. We look forward to each class and feel very confident that we'll all have a blast on vacation enjoying pool time safely now! Thank you AquaTech Swim Concord for such a fantastic experience so far!

It took us a long time to find an indoor swim school once we moved to this area. We love that they operate all year.
My son has been going here for over a year and loves it! The staff have been so friendly and we have not had a single teacher that isn't great with kids! They were great in helping my little transitions from parent and me classes to independent lessons. He always has so much fun and loves coming each week!

We have had a very positive experience taking swim lessons here. We started as a nervous beginner and the staff are all so friendly and quickly helped my child feel comfortable, confident, and learning new skills in no time. The environment is clean, check in is simple, nice seating area for parents separated from the pool so it doesnβt feel humid but with big viewing windows so everyone can watch their kids, lots of changing rooms, and a cushioned play area and tv playing Disney movies for anyone who is waiting for their lesson or if siblings need to come with and have to wait. Highly recommend!

Great place! My son is swimming amazingly! My only complaints are that their faucets are small to where my hands are practically touching the sinks and they raise their monthly charges every now and then. Iβm a single mom so it makes it hard on me but my son is turning into a great swimmer so I keep him in them. They are all SUPER nice and polite, and I would still recommend this place. Might even have a party here one time. Definitely recommend!

Can't say enough BAD about this place. Extremely dirty pool area, fake cleaning, dirty dingy changing stalls. Staff lies and is very rude. They fake lie about promotions and no they do not have Olympic style pools - kids can't even swim the whole lap coz they are always over crowded- it's a mess and very scammy. They also lie about their annual fees which are extra, they charge without informing on the website. Too expensive for this quality and ethics. Do not buy lessons here.

The tadpole class for infants and toddlers are always fun and easygoing. The instructors give you the space and opportunity to work on your childβs own pace so itβs not stressful at all. We loved our instructor Zach E, as he was always nice and patient with us.

This place is great for swimming lessons. My kids had taken swimming lessons off and on for a couple of years, but it never stuck. A month into this place, and they were already swimming by themselves for short distances. I really like how structured and organized they are. Definitely will continue coming to Aquatech.

So this place is good. In regards to the facilities. Convenient, clean, and everyone is extremely nice. I do, however, think they milk the system. They keep kids at a level for months at a time. My son jumps out the diving board at Hercules Swim school and able to come up and swim to the side
However here because he doesn't flip how they want he's kept in the same session for 6 months. I look at this school as a way just to keep him the water in non summer time. But have no confidence that he will actually become a better swimmer here. In regard to my 4 year old they worked wonders. He is able to put his head under water when I initially went he did not want water in his face. It may be better for younger children.
Update increased my 3 to a 4....

I would give no starts if it was possible. Their policies are worse than a German Gestapo. We've been going there for over 6 months, no problems. My wife who's a graveyard nurse, had to cancel her card on file because of possible fraud. Since she works at night, she neglected to inform them (our fault). But as I walked in my son jumped in the water leaving me at the check in table. Their true colors showed that they are all about the money. Since my card was declined they said i have to pull my son out of the water? Seriously? I told them I'll just take care of it next week, what's the big deal? They said it's their policy. Needless to say my son was disappointed. The guy who helped me "David" was absolutely useless, but in his defense, when I asked for a "manager" he said they are "all managers." So I guess their all useless? I say this because they said they could not take care of my issue unless I pay them; I would, but it was my wife's account and they wouldn't take a check. When I asked for a "real manager," they said they can only document the incident and someone will get back to me. Screw them. If my money isn't green enough I'll just go somewhere else. The just lost two clients; myself and a friend I recommended who I just reached out to and told him not to take his kids there and I caught him just before he was going to enroll. Good timing. Horrible place. Regret ever going there; extremely unprofessional.

I am extremely happy with the progress my son has made at AquaTech swim school. The personalized attention he receives from the experienced teachers has been invaluable in his development as a swimmer. The staff at AquaTech are also very easy to communicate with and have always been responsive to any questions or concerns I have had.
In addition, the costumer portal provided by AquaTech is very convenient and allows me to easily schedule lessons and track my son's progress. Overall, I am very satisfied with the services provided by AquaTech and highly recommend their swim lessons to anyone looking to improve their swimming skills.

This place has the most complicated and time consuming booking process, they are extremely unhelpful and their communications are inadequate. I have left here multiple times very frustrated. Today my 4 year old wasnβt allowed to swim after I showed up with a booking confirmation because I as the parent am supposed to keep track of each childβs level and I mixed up the starfish versus seahorse levels and they didnβt think to help me move her to the right class. Instead they just dropped her. Now sheβs crying, happy Saturday.

I'm very glad that I was able to start the process with Groupon to see how we would like the facility. It's great and the pricing is reasonable, I haven't been here long but so far my girls love it, Erica noticed things on the first swim class, and was able to get them comfortable by the second week which led me to get them enrolled into swim class. Also, Melissa the manager was very helpful in making this happen, the staff are always welcoming when we arrive.

My daughter went to take hew first swimming lesson on the 02/13/22
1. There were 4 kids in the lane with single instructor so she was not getting too much of attention
2. The water was too cold for her
3. When the class was over, they went to the shower and the faculty member was doing loud countdown to 5 rushing up children. The whole shower was supposed to happen in 5 seconds. My daughter got scared and began to cry.
4. When I asked for the refund on the rest of the classes, the request was denied
My daughter refuses to go into water as she's afraid now

Our experience at Aquatech was amazing in every aspect. Even with the pandemic, we felt safe with the precautions that were in place. The staff was always so welcoming and friendly. As for our instructor, Ava was awesome. She bonded well with our daughter, and showed patience and expertise for our tadpole class. I would highly recommend Ava and aquatech to anyone interested.

Clean facilities, friendly environment, and helpful staff. I found this place great for instruction of my young child (Tadpole level)! The instructor Ava was absolutely amazing!!! She was our first swim teacher, and she made us feel welcome and also gave us so much exceptional training and fun. Her exercises, her timing of the class, her inclusion of all students were truly above and beyond--much better than I can imagine a swim instructor could be. We are moving to Aquatech Alameda because we were able to get a new class closer to our home. Thank you, Ava! We will really miss you!

The price might be cheaper than other swim schools, but there's a reason. This place is run like an enterprise - all about efficiency and time slots. Unfortunately this doesn't work out well for the swimmers -- the swim instructors are invariably different between lessons, and the student to teacher ratio can be as high as 5:1.
The facilities are nice - ample lockers, big changing rooms for the kids, bleachers for parents to watch the lessons (multiple lessons run in parallel in segments of the pool), and there's a play/tv area for other waiting siblings.
Overall, though, better to pay a bit more elsewhere and have a better outcome. Elsewhere would work out better on a teacher:student time ratio, and thus a better outcome. At least that was the case for me.

Nice people and clean place. Easy parking and decent price. The swimming classes are indoor so can be done year around without sunburn or being too cold. Cons: no wi fi, pool smells chlorine very bad - indoors, no ventilation, one out of two times I come I cannot find a parking spot right away and I lose lots of time.

Bought a Groupon special and it's been the most difficult experience to get my son, nephew and niece enrolled. They're (Concord location) horrible with getting back to potential customers via phone and with email it seems to take them a day/two to get back to you. I'm seriously looking into getting a refund and just going with another swimming service if I can't get them enrolled in a class this week.

This place looked promising but after taking my boys here for a couple of months. I noticed that they have rules for parents not to leave their belongings in the changing stalls before the kids get out of the pool. But always 10mins before class ends you have about 6 or 7 parents already reserving the changing stalls. Some of their kids aren't out of the water yet and other parents are having to wait until a changing stall is available, which isn't fair to the kids who are done and cold. Spoke to management and staff and nothing is being done. Some of the parents are ridiculous and don't care about the other kids who are waiting. I'm in the process of looking for another swim school.

the classes are awesome but the whole system with scheduling make-ups is ridiuclous and hard. first of all you only have 30 days within which you can do the make up classes. If you are on vacation for 3 weeks that leaves you with not a lot of wiggle room. second, you can only book within the next 7 days. lots of times I couldn't because classes were full. I was to call a week later. most likely it is booked out again. and then the 30 days are over. and it is extremely difficult to get someone on the phone or called back for that matter. this time I had to try 10 times over two days to get a hold of someone. the classes get a 5 star from me and the scheduling get a 1 star from me. I'm very frustrated with the inflexibility of scheduling make-ups. I have two swimmers in different classes and work part time (so half the week is not available for us). almost impossible and Aquatech def. doesn't make it easier. I was about to cancel the classes altoghether but I really want my kids to know how to swim. and the swim teachers are great and friendly.

So I went a couple of times and my first experience was great but then I went again and the staff was beyond rude!
I went for the open adult swim and It seemed as if I was a burden to be helped. The manager ignored us and when we finally were helped nothing but attitude. The pool was very dirty including a huge nasty used bandaid that was floating around and when we told the manager he rolled his eyes and made someone else clean it.
I won't be coming back because the pool is tiny and very dirty and with the terrible staff no thanks I will pass!

We'd highly recommend sending your child here to learn the joy of swimming. The staff are mostly teens, but are highly motivated, trained, and dedicated to giving your child the best experience possible. They also have family swim times for an additional fee, plus other services. Prices are affordable for your average upper middle class family, the facility is modern and clean, and good parking (though can get tight during peak class times since it shares a lot with Diablo Rock Gym.

Aquatech has been a great swim experience for my son who is now 3. We've been going since he was maybe 20 months. After a bit over a year there I can say that the instructors are great with the kids, the staff is helpful and good at scheduling. Overall things run like a pretty well oiled machine there.
We have found that in our case, for our son, we had to do two classes back to back for him to excel and stay focused. The first class just warmed him up and the second one he does great in.
Aquatech has levels for all ages, but any children under 3 pretty much will be in the water with their children (which is great by the way). Once they are 3 the kids can be with an instructor and the ratio of kids to instructor stays low for young kids and slowly goes up as the kids get older.
Our son is confident in the water, has a good time, is learning to trust others and gets great exercise.
