I took my first pole dance class here and it was so detailed and professionally taught. The attention to detail in explaining how to use move with the pole was very helpful especially as a beginner. All around, super helpful and fun !

My friends and I took an intro pole dancing class at Aranza’s Aerial & Dance Studio and we had such a blast! We were all super nervous going in but Andre made us feel so welcomed and at ease right away. She created such a fun and empowering vibe and we seriously didn’t want the class to end. I honestly don’t know why we didn’t start sooner. 10/10 recommend to anyone curious about trying it out!

I had an absolutely INCREDIBLE experience at Aranza’s Aerial and Dance Fitness Studio! From the moment I reached out to my instructor, Andre, she showed nothing but kindness and support. I let her know I was just getting back to working out after a major surgery, and to my surprise, she offered to adjust the entire class just to accommodate me. 😭🙌🏾❤️ That level of care and consideration is truly rare, and while I didn’t want her to change anything just for me, I deeply appreciated her thoughtfulness. It really showed how much she values her students.

The class itself was amazing! The energy was uplifting, the instruction was clear, and I felt encouraged to do what I could without any pressure. What made it even more special was seeing the owner, Aranza, taking the class alongside us! Not only was she fully engaged, but she also chimed in to offer additional guidance when needed. Sometimes, hearing the same concept explained in a slightly different way makes all the difference, and having that extra layer of support was truly invaluable.

Added bonus: Andre was incredibly open to questions and feedback during class, which I truly appreciate as a dance teacher myself. This is how we all grow and learn as instructors. We all start somewhere, and I can honestly say I didn’t know everything when I first began teaching. But with time, continued study, and dedication to the craft, we improve. Seeing an instructor so open to growth and learning speaks volumes about the quality of this studio!

This studio is a GEM! The level of passion, professionalism, and positivity here is unmatched. If you’re thinking about trying a class, I HIGHLY recommend it. Whether you’re a total beginner or someone returning to movement, you’ll feel safe, supported, and inspired every step of the way. ❤️

Let me start this off by saying I owned another pole dance studio in this same area in Bakersfield from the years 2016 - 2020. I closed it because of personal life changes, and I say this to express my experience with studio ownership in this city.

I took my first class with Amanda two days ago and was so impressed with the dance space. It’s tricky to fit more than 4 poles in a room that big, I know from personal experience. Ideally, pole dancers want to have at a bare minimum, 6 feet diameter dance space around a pole. But, that’s pretty hard to do in most cost-considerate places in town. Additionally, as a business owner, you want to try and make the most in your space in what time you have. I know of very few studio owners who have the privilege of having both space and budget needed to have that much space per pole, while making enough money to stay in business. I’ve been to even more successful studios that actually feel more crowded than Aranza’s, whose studio has really nice high ceilings. This is an advantage this studio has over the other studio in town. Plus, the soft color scheme, matching crash mats, professional lighting, speaker system, and pole installation really brought the space together beautifully. If I opened another studio again, it would not look much different than this space.

Aside from the space, I really enjoyed being in class with friendly dancers again. I had been to the other studio in town a few times but I will be sticking to Aranza’s from this point on. This studio is closer to me, better location in town because it’s closer to the highway and parkway, and just overall more positively receptive to me. I was immediately greeted warmly by both Amanda and Aranza and felt like I was welcome in the space. I haven’t had that experience at the other studio. It felt more like mean girl vibes and like everyone is trying to show everyone up, even outside the studio. I get that athletics will have some pettiness, especially something as saucy as pole, but even though I knew people there too, the vibe wasn’t the same, and that’s a big thing for me. A good vibe and welcoming environment was the main thing I tried to create with my studio, and I’ll keep following those good vibes. The class was taught well and kicked my butt as I wanted it to, and Aranza even joined in class. I know how hard it is on your body to attend classes non-stop as an owner, so I was impressed! So happy this studio opened so I can dance in class again!!!

Smells like wet paint and no students were in class besides their rude and self centered instructors. Don’t go here.

I was really excited to check out the studio when it first opened and when I did I was disappointed. My biggest concern was safety, not once did the coach take the time to check in with the class explain the terminology for pole or offer other ways to break down the steps. I’m a seasoned dancer so I know what they were talking about but for new people it was very difficult. It seems like most of the coaches just show off and are not kind at all. The owner keeps fixing her makeup, looking in the mirror, on the phone, and then back on the dance floor..I wanted to go back and try the other classes they have to offer but once was enough for me. Waste of money in my opinion.

UPDATE AS OF Feb.11.2025
I suppose my honest review upset the coach that I took the class from. This is a screenshot of post on her account after my initial review. The professionalism clearly speaks for itself!!!!

Poles are uncomfortably close together. It is not safe for someone who doesn’t have experience & spacial awareness. We get it that the coach is strong, it’s not very encouraging for newbies. Safety is a concern. There was another coach that was taking the class with someone that I would hope is her friend because the way she was talking to her wasn’t nice. Won’t be going back. The energy I felt there was not it.

If you want to be attacked on social media because of an honest review. Then this is your place to be. Pic below was posted on the coaches story after reading my review.

I started going to this studio at the end of december and my growth has skyrocketed!!!

… The studio features yoga in the morning, a pole basics class, 2 silks classes a week, lyra classes, 2 higher level pole classes a week, and weekly open pole. The studio emphasizes equal parts challange and safety. Indica is very dedicated to helping students grow. She broke down silks in a way that I was finally able to climb! I’ve learned so many variations of different skills!!

I have felt supported and comfortable in class. I have loved meeting more people who also love aeriel and are focused on strength, challenge, and growth.
