Archetype Yoga is truly one of the best yoga studios in Pasadena. All the teachers are very knowledgeable and welcoming. Sara is the most supportive teacher I’ve ever known. I love they offer several restorative classes on the schedule.
That's been my practice due to my injuries. I also recommend their sound bath event, it's very special and beautiful.

Have been practicing at Archetype Yoga consistently for the past 5 months, and it’s truly become a special part of my week. The studio is spacious, calming, with thoughtful touches like two full bathrooms, unique merchandise and a little library, that make the whole experience feel easy and welcoming.

The vibe here is incredibly grounded. Everyone, from the instructors to the fellow students are friendly and down to earth. It never feels intimidating or “scene-y,” just full of people showing up for themselves and each other.

Every teacher brings something unique, but I have to shout out Sara, my FAV, whose restorative classes feel like a reset for both body and mind—like a gentle therapy session with movement. Nicole also leads a beautiful restorative class, and the Sunday sound bath offering by Chidimma is something next-level.

They also go beyond the mat. Archetype hosts a book club, special events like full moon sound baths, jazz night, and you can really tell they care about creating community and supporting people on and off the mat.

Their studio manager, Jen is so thoughtful and has an amazing response time via email for help with anything. Was going through some health issues and kept canceling classes last minute for a few weeks and Jen was kind enough to reach out and check in. Doesn’t get any more community than that!

If you’re looking for a studio that blends high-quality instruction with a warm and authentic atmosphere, this is it. Highly recommend!!!

Amazing atmosphere, super beginner friendly. I haven’t done yoga in ages and I brought a friend that had never tried it and we both loved our class. Nicole was our instructor and she was so communicative, detailed and really gave personal attention to the people in the class. It really felt like I was with an expert and I can’t stress enough how welcoming it was! I will for sure come back!

I'm new to yoga and this studio has been a great place to start my yoga journey. The instructors are patient, encouraging, and helpful. Everyone has such positive energy. Good vibes all around. I also love that they keep cool events on the schedule, like full moon rituals, tarot readings, and sound baths. I did a group tarot reading and it was really fun and interesting. Highly recommend!

Worst yoga studio I ever experienced. I recommend staying far far away. Walk don't run away from this place.

Update to their response: every time I detailed what exactly happened my review would disappear even though as they stated I had written evidence from the emails. In short, they asked me to do them a favor, I agreed then they went back on their word, which hurt a client of mine as well and they didn't feel bad about it whatsoever. In our e-mail exchange they even admitted they knew they were wrong. If they honor their verbal and written contract I am willing to talk but if not then this review shows their true colors and is completely warranted to say the least.

Archetype Yoga helped me sooth back pain from working ten hours a day with a jackhammer. It allowed me to regain flexibility. I’ve also lost 40 pounds over since I started coming to the studio. Teachers like Mei Ling made a big guy like who is 6’2 feel comfortable in my skin in a yoga class. I recommend this studio for other men looking to start a practice.

This is hands down my favorite yoga studio. Every teacher I’ve taken from is attentive and very clear with their instructions. I always leave feeling taken care of. I also love that the focus is on creating space in the body and really getting the most out of each position. I’ve found many studios where the emphasis is simply fitness, this studio focuses on making sure it feels yummy!

I’ve practiced a lot of different styles of yoga over the past 20 years and there’s really nothing quite like a Katonah Yoga class. It’s such a practical, accessible and intelligent practice.

I’d been specifically looking for a Katonah Yoga studio in LA after the only other studio I had found that offered Katonah classes in LA closed due to the pandemic.

The studio is clean, airy and bright with a great selection of props available. The staff are welcoming, the teachers knowledgeable, passionate and people-centric. So happy to have found Archetype Yoga.

Have always looked for a yoga spot and found one that covers my needs. The philosophy of this art form is what drew me to this place and the venue is nothing short of wow! Pasadena is fairly local too. Staff are super welcoming and the environment is friendly. Sara’s instruction keeps me focused and relaxed.
