I’ve been working with Ashley for a few years now, and I couldn’t be happier with the results—not just in the gym, but in every aspect of my health and wellness. Ashley has been an incredible trainer to work with. It was my first time starting personal training, and she helped make the gym and strengths training feel a lot more approachable for someone who didn't know what to do at a gym.

During sessions she is patient and knowledgeable and explains which muscles we're using which helps me understand the why behind the workouts. She also always brings her full, energetic self which is very admirable and gives me the support to work out on days I felt lower-energy. She was also considerate of my well-being, frequently checking in how a new work out or higher weight feels, so that I don't injure myself. After each session she also shared a note of the workouts we did that day which helps me remember for when I workout during the week on my own.

I could not have asked for a better trainer and I'm bummed that I'm not able to train with her due to my relocation! Highly recommend her as your trainer!

Working out with a personal trainer is new to me. I'd put it off for years, out of fear and not prioritizing my needs. I finally took the leap just some months ago! It was an easy and thoughtful process: I sent Ashley an email, had an introductory assessment call, and scheduled a visit to the gym, Truve Fitness, where Ashely holds sessions. I am soooooooo glad I trusted my gut! Ashley is incredibly enthusiastic about helping people learn more about their bodies, pushing them in a way that celebrates positive risk-taking while also honoring any limitations/needs that arise.

From day one, she has 1) attentively listened to what I'm wanting to hone in on, 2) kept workouts creative, inspiring, and targeted to my needs, 3) not allowed me to give up easily but, instead, cheered me on, knowing I can go the extra mile, 4) adjusted and adapted exercises when necessary, and 5) brought some real-deal joy, fun, and sincerity to the whole experience!

There is a warmth and fire about Ashley that she infuses into each session. This energy combo uplifts me, allows me to challenge myself, and offers gentleness in harder moments. Her knowledge of the complex workings of the body (what we are activating with each exercise) is super helpful and creates a visual map to internalize. Even though I'm still struggling to implement a consistent home-based routine, Ashley remains encouraging and continues to provide me options for at-home or gym-oriented workout plans. I know I will get there; because in these last few months, I feel stronger, less fearful, and much more interested in trying new things to strengthen and understand my body. Ashley has the best energy and is the kindest person. Her classes are a lot of fun and she puts a lot of effort into them. Knowing that our group enjoyed circuits, she once set up 10 different stations for our workout! The class goes very fast and is super engaging with all the variety offered. She also has a countdown for how much time is left in the set, which I personally like a lot.

I take Ashley's classes any opportunity I get and recommend others do the same!

Ashley is fun and easy to work with. She will get you a great workout and make sure you don’t get hurt in the process.

For years, I wanted to get to the gym to build strength, lose weight and feel more fit, but I was always reluctant because the gym environment always seemed so uninviting and intimidating. Ashley has been my trainer for almost 2 years now and I love training with her! Ashley keeps me motivated with dynamic supersets and pushes me to reach my goals. And she does it all with a smile! Plus her playlists are always bumping too. I love how she incorporate her new yoga learnings to our cooldowns as well. Makes me feel like I'm getting a mix of strength and yoga together! I've seen so much gains in my muscles and I also feel so much more comfortable and confident in my own body thanks to consistent strength training with Ashley. Ashley is an incredible trainer! I was a total beginner when I started coming to her, I was just looking to learn some basics and make exercising more accessible on my own. Ashley took great care to modify our sessions depending on how I was feeling that specific day. She tailored everything we did to what I needed (even when I wasn’t sure what I needed). Ashley is fantastic. I'd never worked with a personal trainer before and was unsure what I would get out of it, but Ashley was everything I could have hoped for.

Her approach was built on enthusiasm and gentle pushes, with no judgment.

I saw Ashley in-person at Truve Fitness. She planned out great workouts using their equipment and helped me adapt the exercises to the equipment I had at home.

She is enthusiastic about fitness and her clients, and I found it infectious -- even overcoming my internal critic.

She's highly knowledgeable, and when I worked with her, she was also getting her Master's in Public Health from UC Berkeley. Whenever I asked her a question, she treated it seriously, and if she didn't know the answer right away she'd always try to go find it.

When my program with Ashley came to an end, she continued to support me in my fitness journey. She recommended gyms and classes to try where she felt I could get the most benefit, even down to individual instructors.

Ashley has been my trainer for the past few months with a focus on body recomposition and has been a GODSEND. Not only is she knowledgeable and listens to your needs, she’s also really good at balancing that with her ability to push you. I can’t tell you how many times I would mentally say “no”, but she’d always say “just try. If it’s too heavy we can always go lower”. To my surprise EVERY TIME, I end up doing it and hitting a personal record. She’s kind, diligent, attentive, stern when need be, willing to adapt based on where your body is at that day and will always ensure you get a good workout in. I’m still a work in progress, but have never been in better shape in my adult life. Hands down, hiring Ashley has been the best decision I’ve made with regards to my fitness!

Ashley helped me virtually with learning basic movements and strength training and after some time I was able to adapt a program on my own. I never thought I could enjoy a training session this much! Ashley has an energy, unlike any I have experienced in the fitness world. She is an incredible personal trainer and Group Fitness Instructor, and she also is working on her masters at UC Berkeley, with a focus on nutrition!
