We are so sad to hear Ms. Starlah is no longer with ASI.

Ms. Starlah was such a bright light in our lives there. Her vibrant personality and warm, loving smile made walking into dance something to look forward to. She greeted every student with a hug and a reminder of how awesome they were. Whether she was stepping into the studio to help a teacher or comforting a little one with a motherly touch after a small boo-boo, she always knew how to lift spirits and make kids feel seen. I honestly can’t recall a time when she wasn’t radiating positivity.

Starlah is truly the reason we are still part of ASI. Last season my daughter wanted to quit because her class had become overcrowded with more competitive students than recreational ones. Naturally, the focus shifted toward advancing the higher-level students, leaving the others feeling overlooked. When I called to say we wouldn’t be returning, it was Starlah who stepped in. She listened, cared, and found a smaller class that was a better fit. Thanks to her, everything worked out, and my daughter regained her love for dance.

We will truly miss Ms. Starlah and everything she brought to the studio. She was the bright, shining presence we all noticed was missing when she wasn’t there—and one we’ll carry with us in our hearts always.

FIVE STARS for Ms. Starlah as its because of her warm loving AMAZING vibe that has kept my son going at ASI. My son is autistic and I was so ready to quit in the very beginning. It was ONLY because of Ms Starlah we continued coming and then slowly he formed a group called the "Groovers" as these kiddos felt like they didn't belong there. No one would really acknowledge them. Ms Starlah gave these kids so much love and attention and that's why we are still coming. Ms Starlah is AMAZING with kids, SO loving caring and will go above and beyond for the kids. I absolutely LOVE her positive vibrant energy! She is the reason we go there and will continue going as long as she is there. YOU ROCK MS STARLAH!! 🙏🙏🙏

My daughter has been taking Hip Hop classes at ASI and she absolutely loves them ! ASI is like

My daughter does color guard as her primary activity but wanted to take dance classes to improve her movement skills. Even though she is not on team, my daughter has always felt welcomed by Ms. Torie and her staff over the past several years. She gets along with the dance team kids who she takes classes with and is a more confident performer as a result of the training she gets from ASI. This studio has helped my daughter reach her goal of performing with a top drum corps program. It's not easy to run a small business but Ms. Torie and her husband put a ton of work into ASI and we appreciate them for it!

The place stinks of cigarettes! Every Sunday when I bring my child here my nose and head start hurting from the stench of smoke. I want my child dancing in a clean environment and this doesn’t feel that way. The building is old and today when I came in someone had left donuts on the counter and there are millions of ants everywhere.

The students and families are great here. However, the owner is RUDE, UNPROFESSIONAL, and UNQUALIFIED!! Let me start by saying that neither Tori or her husband have any professional dance training ie. Never been in a company, or collegiate level dance program, national accreditations for dance, or professional level dance training to be instructing students. 2nd: The teachers they do have are not qualified to be putting students en pointe. They have no idea what style of ballet they teach, so how can they call themselves “qualified.” 3rd: They fire teachers in front of students. How is this professional?

Pay extra money in gas and take your kids elsewhere. This place is a joke, and should be shut down.

Our daughter has been at Mission Dance, now ASI, for 11 years. She has thrived and now on the competition team. Ms. Torie, the studio owner, is an amazing teacher and competition director, who has taken over the studio and taken the studio to a new level in competition and recreation. This is the best place in Fremont for young dancers to flourish. The dancers and their parents are awesome people- we love our dance family!

I love this studio, I love all of the classes and I have made so many great friends. I love how we get to improv and learn lots of new skills and steps. I love all of the teachers and how there are different styles I can do like jazz, tap, lyrical, break dancing, contemporary, hip hop, jazz funk, and tumbling class is awesome too! I definitely recommend this studio if you want to have lots of fun and have different friends that share the same interest as you.

Wonderful dance studio! A great environment to learn dance. I have two daughters and both of them absolutely love their dance classes here. My oldest was enrolled in their summer camp this year and we were very happy with how the camp was structured and enjoyed the end of camp show. The owners are amazing, very professional, kind and responsive.
