We’ve been dropping in to this gym for the past 8 or 9 years every summer. Over the years it has just gotten better and better. The coaches are caring, supportive and wise, and the community is a lot of fun. Love the Level Method approach as well. Well keep coming back!

Love this gym. I drop in here every few months when visiting Paso Robles with the family, even though it’s a little further away than a couple other gyms. Great facility and equipment, and they keep it in great shape (also very clean).
Coaches are super friendly and welcoming. Every coach will come up and introduce themselves to you if you are new. They are also super knowledgeable- great focus on technique and various points of performance for whatever is in the workout for that day. I’ve had Jana coach a few times and she has always given me some great tips and tricks that help improve my form or make my workouts more efficient. Seriously they are excellent!
Great community as well. Everyone is incredibly friendly and welcoming.

I started my CrossFit journey about 8 months ago, and it’s been the best decision I’ve ever made! It’s honestly changed my life in the most amazing way. I joined Atascadero CrossFit a few years ago through their 6-week challenge, and I’ve been going ever since. My initial goal was to get stronger, but I found so much more—a supportive community, wonderful coaching, and an environment that truly prioritizes progress and proper movement. I started at Atascadero CrossFit about a year ago, and it's been a game-changer! I've lost 30 pounds and feel stronger than ever. My brother and I drive in for the 5:30 am class at least five days a week, and it's absolutely worth it. The coaches are fantastic – incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. They prioritize proper form and are always willing to modify movements to suit individual needs and prevent injuries. The community is incredibly supportive, which makes every workout enjoyable. Their 6-week jumpstart program is excellent for anyone looking to improve their health. Plus, the apps they use for booking classes and tracking progress are super user-friendly. Having never tried CrossFit before, I decided to give it a shot. I initially joined for the 6-Week Transformation Challenge, which includes coaching and a nutritional plan to help you start off on the right foot. My goals were to gain muscle and lose fat. My 6 weeks results were great - lost 15lbs of fat and gained 8lbs of muscle (all in 6 weeks!!). The coaches and camaraderie from other members are truly exceptional and keep me motivated. They also utilize the Level Method, which customizes workouts to individual fitness levels, making it a game changer. I highly recommend giving Atascadero CrossFit a try.

Atascadero CrossFit is absolutely amazing! The atmosphere is something I’ve never felt at a gym. It’s like a family but without that one family member who judges everything you do 🤣. I can’t say enough good things about the coaches too! They each bring something different to the workouts and I learn something new about a move or a lift each time I take a class with a different coach. The fact that they have a 4:30am class is also a HUGE reason why I landed there. I can actually prioritize myself at 4:30am with very little that can get in the way of it (except for myself not getting out of bed). Can’t recommend this place enough!

Easily the best gym in the area. From the amazing community, killer programming, to the most charismatic and knowledgeable coaches, this place is crushing it. All the equipment is top notch, always clean, and plenty of, to go around. ACF is the place to be at 4:30 AM. (Best class, largest class)

I've gone through probably every health challenge that I could never imagined going through the last 2 years of going to this gym, and without fail the coaches and owners have met me where I am at with modifications and encouraging words to keep me going. The members and everyone make it a truly special place for fitness. I've tried a lot of different type of gyms, and there is nothing like it. Don't let what you think it is or might be stop you from coming and giving it a shot, I almost did, and my life is changed for the best many times over for taking that chance.

The folks at Atascadero CrossFit are just amazing. The owners Mike and Yvette, every incredible coach, and each member we have encountered -everyone is friendly, encouraging, and quick to lend a hand. Take it from a person who has always struggled with their weight and sticking to any form of regular exercise, the workouts are fun and the Level Method used to tailor to your individual fitness and ability is a game changer. I actually look forward to going. The 6 - Week Transformation Challenge was a great kickstart too! I have visited several times over the past 8 years when traveling to Paso Robles for Military duty and also wine tasting. This place rocks and is so inviting. you can tell they take care of their equipment and value their members. Would highly recommend this crossfit gym when in the area or Moving near here. The coaching is great and they can modify workouts to fit your limitations or injuries. I attended after having shoulder surgery and the coach worked with me to help me with a great workout.

I've had a fantastic time at Atascadero Crossfit. I started doing the 6 week challenge and learned how to improve my meals and the habits that weren't consistent with wanting to lose weight. I've lost 14 lbs and feel stronger than I have in years from the classes and the awesome instructors!

I was very happy with the 6 week challenge. my body changed fast and was a great motivator. I learned so much about a better way of eating and that protein is key. I will continue my journey with cleaner eating for sure. The workouts were great, love Brooks. The people at the 4:30 class are so welcoming, love all the girls I work out with. I am not a big fan of the bar and lifting weights but it’s something I will keep working on. My coach Tracy is very motivational and not judgmental…. Which is something I really needed. I have learned that working out and eating right and getting stronger is not about perfection , it’s about doing your best and when you fall off track forgive yourself and get back at it.
Thank you for offering such a different environment for our community, always making things fun and open for feedback and really caring about people. I will stick with ACF and hopefully as I become stronger and more confident I will join in with more activites. Thanks again.

I decided to try Atascadero CrossFit out on a whim in my urge to want to change my lifestyle. I went to my first class (free) to try it out and fell absolutely in love. The people were awesome and very encouraging . I instantly felt welcomed with open arms. I love how the workouts are level based which allows you to adjust based on your needs. The greatest gym I’ve been to!
I love the diversity of all the workouts and how structured it is. With two kiddos and a hectic busy schedule, they offer so many class times, full equipment, schedule of workouts and the coaches show you each move.
I have grown so much in strength and my mentality and have lost weight too where I’ve been receiving compliments for my dedication and efforts. I completed a 6 week transformation and lost 13.5 pounds of body fat! Consistency was key.
But enough about me, let me tell you about the COMMUNITY. Every coach and member has been so welcoming and kind and encouraging and inspiring! No judgment here because everyone is from all different backgrounds, strengths, and levels - they are just proud to see you show up and CARE for your wellbeing!
Your goals and fitness journey and wealth in health start here. And no matter where life takes you, ACF proves to want the best for you and believe in you to do your best and be at your best!

If you like going to the gym and doing the same five or six exercises every time and not having any interaction with anyone else, then Atascadero CrossFit is not the place for you. But if you want challenging strength and endurance workouts that target all major muscle groups taught by knowledgeable and motivated coaches in an environment that is beyond supportive then Atascadero CrossFit is where you need to be. The coaches are all certified trainers and can help tailor the workouts so that both the elite athlete and the beginner can train to their full potential. The coaches will work with you to make sure you get the most out of your workout and complete the movements safely to avoid injury.
The members are friendly and welcoming and will greet new members or drop-ins with open arms. It's amazing to see someone's first pushup celebrated with as much enthusiasm as a 400 pound deadlift. There's no shortage of high fives or encouragement to get you through the workouts.
Atascadero CrossFit also offers personal training and nutritional coaching to take your fitness to the next level. There are often intramural group challenges and fun competitions as well. I recently participated in a six-week nutrition challenge and with the support of the coaches and other members, I lost 12 pounds and decreased my body fat by 5%.
I have been a member of Atascadero CrossFit for two years and I learn something new in each class. The group fitness classes are always fun and challenging. It's really the highlight of my day. I would recommend Atascadero CrossFit to anyone at any fitness level. It's truly a special place

Gym is always clean and well organized. Classes start on time. Coaches are enthusiastic about being here.
The unique "Level Method" makes this Crossfit Gym accessible for beginners who might otherwise be intimidated by a new sport. The "Level Method" is similar to a martial arts belt level. Each level is a new color code, so everyone works out together but new members can start at their skill set and then work up the color levels assisted by the coaches.
There's something for everyone here from beginners on up .
Bonus: everyone is friendly and there is no gym snobbery here. High - fives and smiles all around.

It is hard to try something new at 47 years old but I am sure glad I did! I have worked out most of my life in some way, however, I have never felt as strong as I do at ACF! The coaches and owners are honestly there for every single person, no matter the skill level. Everyone is so helpful, welcoming, and supportive. I have been going to this gym for over a year. I am amazed with how fit I am right now. I am an ex athlete and I was just looking for a way to get in better shape then I was. I ended up losing 30 lbs and now I am 48 being close to the shape that I was when I was 20. For about 3 years I tried orange theory and never got into shape. It only took me 6 months to get in better shape then I was hoping for. The best part is that it feels more like a social hangout then it does a workout. I now go to the gym 6 days a week because it is only an hour a day and it is my daily routine.

I joined CrossFit in December of 2022. I was at a point where I wanted to do something for ME. I was not happy with my overall health and fitness. I saw an ad on Face Book and decided to meet with Mike Turnquist. After signing up for the 6-week challenge, I decided to stick it out. I signed up for a year after that. Being at the gym has been so much fun. Who Knew? I've met a lot of great people who are friendly and cheer me on every step of the way. It doesn't matter what fitness level you are at, everyone is very supportive and willing to help you achieve your goal along your CrossFit journey. I am surprised at how well I have done in the year that I have been attending. I have exceeded my expectations. I have come to know and love the coaches: Jana Cancel, Cheyenne Ladd, Traci McMahan, Beau, Michael Brooks and occasionally Mike Turnquist. I am just loving every minute of it. Having back problems, the coaches have been so wonderful showing me modifications. This has definitely helped me along the way. Everyone is so friendly it feels like family. I love meeting all the different people and having fun while working on my fitness goals, alongside them. The Intramural open and The Murph challenge are so amazingly fun. What can I not say about how truly incredibly amazing ACF is! The coaches are all so supportive and the community as well. I’ve been with ACF since November of 2023. I have been doing CrossFit for 5 years. This past year I joined ACF. For the first time in 5 years I have truly seen a change in my body and performance. I joined ACF in September of 2023 and since then have crushed every single goal I have set for myself.
Between the enthusiastic members and attentive coaches, the accountability bar is set at a very high level. I do 6 workouts every week at ACF and each workout is unique and programmed very well.
I have been to crossfit gyms all over the world and have experienced some very good training. However, ACF puts the others at or below average.

I joined ACF last September to jumpstart my training for the upcoming Spartan race. I was going to join for a few months and reevaluate where my fitness levels was at the end of the race. I’m 4 months post race and can’t imagine stopping! I’ve achieved levels of fitness that I couldn’t have ever imagined. The trainers and owners are incredible. AH-MAZING Gym! If you told me last year I’d be doing CrossFit this year, I would have laughed. I had NO idea how fun, and well planned this gym is. I just love Atascadero CrossFit! I’m 58 years old, and joined 8 months ago for the 6 week challenge to lose the “spare tire” around my waist. I lost 10 pounds and dropped 6% body fat (spare tire gone!), but the real benefit has been that I feel GREAT! I’m hooked! The scaled program fits any fitness level. I started out at the first and second level (white and yellow level), and I’m now a solid Level 4! (Blue level!) And the coaches! Wow! They are so thoughtful and knowledgeable about how to do a movement correctly so that you don’t hurt yourself. I haven’t had an injury YET! (Knock on wood). And the CrossFit community is second to NONE! Love my CrossFit peeps! Highly recommend.

Just at my one year anniversary and I wanted to update my review... This place isn't just what I wrote previously, it's even better. I've done various things in the last year that would have sidelined me for years... But the family environment at ACF is so great that they help pull and support me in my hard times and pump me up even higher at my highs. I genuinely look forward to coming each day and the friendships I've made with the people I swear with. I've gotten so much stronger, physically and mentally, and have lost a ton of fat. But really what makes the difference is that you don't just go there and disappear (unless you want to bc we respect that) but the people have good hearts and legitimately care about your health and well being. ❤️💕

I have a long history of trying various workout programs and hurting myself or just losing attention or interest in it, the amount of money I've given to gyms and then not gone is absurd. I was very concerned before stepping foot into ACF that I would get hurt, be laughed out of the place, or just not feel comfortable enough to keep going. But immediately when I came in I was welcomed like an old friend, asked about myself and what I'm looking for... I started in March on the 6 week program and couldn't do a squat more than a couple inches due to a knee issue, I could barely do a pushup to the wall. But I was patient and kept coming back, put in the work, developed so many friendships with the other members and coaches so that now it's literally the highlight of my day to walk in that door. It's such a special place and I hope more people like me come that aren't sure they can do anything, because it is so incredibly exciting see your progress.

Awesome gym 🤩 I recently moved to the area & have been looking for a new CF gym to attend. I haven’t worked out for about 5 months so I was a little nervous getting back into it. I decided to try out this gym & had a wonderful experience on my first day & signed up! Coaches are helpful and genuinely care about your fitness goals. Did the 6-week challenge to lose body fat and gain muscle. Had an AMAZING experience. I was totally new to CrossFit and everyone was so welcoming and helpful. The level method ensures that you get an amazing workout, no matter your fitness level. The nutrition part of the program was easy & straightforward (no measuring everything on a scale which I loved). At the end of the six weeks, I was down 5% body fat & (even better) had gained 3 lbs of muscle. Felt lean and strong, better sleep, increased mobility, and so much more. Would totally recommend to anyone looking for a holistic program with accountability & measurable progress.

ACF is my first experience with any kind of CrossFit. While I've done the gym and other self-guided fitness as well as classes like Orange Theory, I had always had an impression about CrossFit that it was both cultish and likely too advanced for my currently level of fitness. Atascadero CrossFit immediately proved all of my assumptions about CrossFit wrong and has since provided one of the most rewarding fitness experiences I've ever had.
I began with the 6-week challenge. Guided by Coach Mike and the ACF staff, that process made a tremendous impact on my exercise routine and, just as important, my diet. They are available, present and always willing to work with you every step of the way. I travel a significant amount for work but my nutrition coach Jana was responsive on the app and it actually changed the way I will travel from work moving forward.
Post 6-week challenge, I've stuck with the diet and the fitness routine at the gym. As I previously mentioned, I had always been intimidated by CrossFit but this gym has proven me wrong. The entire coaching staff are extremely friendly and personable. They go out of their way to get to know everyone. The clientele are all wonderful people. Everyone is encouraging and span all levels of skill and experience so you never feel out-classed or alone in your workouts. And the "Level Method" provides exercises that make sense and that you can actually do. From a day 1 beginner to a seasoned CrossFit enthusiast, they're challenging but within your limit. So TL;DR- Atascadero CrossFit are great people, an even better workout and programs that can change your life. DO IT!

I was terribly out of shape when I joined Atascadero CrossFit but I felt welcomed from the beginning. Everyone at this gym is very encouraging and non-judgemental. It is wonderful to see all ages working out together and i like that there is no pressure to compete with anyone but oneself. They are doing a great job of making me feel welcome, and challenging me to do some types of workouts that I have not done in the past (and I have the aches to go along with that!) I have not historically been a group fitness kind of guy, but they have some tech that helps make scheduling straightforward, and the levels system lets us all work at a pace that is challenging, but not discouraging. I am enjoying adding Crossfit to my fitness/health mix! Really good for my mental health and mood.

I hit a slump in my weight-loss journey about a month ago. I kept seeing ads for a 6 week challenge. I decided to check out what it offered and really see what CrossFit was about. From the initial meeting with Mike I was very optimistic about reaching my fitness/health goals. Mike made me feel comfortable, confident, and excited to see my results. I signed up. The best part of this 6 week challenge is they do everything for you, just follow the guidelines, show up to the workouts, and follow the meal plan and it's a no-brainer! My first class was scary at first. Everyone was welcoming and encouraging. Since joining 8 days ago I have lost 7.5 pounds and feel great! Just joined Atascadero CrossFit a week ago. I love the small group classes and the community culture is positive & supportive. The classes accommodate beginner to advanced members with no intimidation. Again, everyone is super friendly. The coaches are helpful and approachable. If they see I’m struggling, they’re quick to intercede so that I succeed. I’m kicking my membership off with their 6 week challenge which includes nutrition and accountability. The plan is easy to follow and when you’re eating right, you never feel hungry. The goals are individualized and realistic. I already love it here at ACF.

After 12 years of injury and being bedridden the doctors told me my physical life was over. I drove by CrossFit daily for over a year and was too scared to go check it out. One day obviously my brain wasn't working correctly and I stopped by and signed up. I'll tell you what, it's the best decision I ever made, the six week challenge changed my life. It gave me a whole new outlook on life and my future. The coaches and the people that go were welcoming knowledgeable and amazing. I am 47 years old and I am already in better shape than I have been in the last 20 years. I signed up for the 6 week Challenge, and so happy I did. I was in need of accountability to stick with my commitment to be consistent with eating healthy. This was not a “diet”, it is a lifestyle change. Mike and Jana were definitely the help I needed. The program was clear and easy to follow. I love this gym!!! I initially joined to kickstart myself back in a more active lifestyle. I don’t plan on leaving ever! The coaches are amazing!! I’ve never lifted weights in my life. I joined ACF as an avid runner wanting to add muscle and increase my speed what I have gotten out of it is so much more. Not only have I put on a significant amount of lean muscle mass, and decreased my body fat percentage in a very short time all while improving my running pace and stamina but more importantly I gained a village. Atascadero CrossFit is beyond amazing. I've been going for about 2 months now and am in love. The people and coaches are so kind and encouraging, the workouts are challenging but explained extremely well, and they offer class times at good times throughout the day. I did the 6 week fitness challenge and reached my goal weight while also getting strong in the process. I've always had a hard time with self motivation but the classes become like mini families.
