ATP fitness has been a great place for me to work out. The two owners are Very pleasant to be around and ATP fitness seems to attract really good professional trainers. They have some really good equipment and upgrade when needed. Lorie Rice has been training me for two years, and The results have been phenomenal. She is an expert at training all muscle groups including the important, smaller muscles that my other trainers didn’t bother to teach. I am 70 years old and before meeting Lorie, my body was racked with arthritis pain and inflammation due to playing football basketball and track in college as well as having 14 surgeries . In fact, the pain was so severe that I would actually throw up,two or three times a week for over 25 years. In my 30s I fell three stories and broke my back and ruptured several discs. When I first met Lorie she listened to me, Devised a custom plan for me ,tailored to strengthen all of my muscles weaknesses. I could go on and on ,but it has drastically changed my body and well-being and has given me a new lease on life. she’s the best trainer I’ve ever had. sincerely, Gregory

I’ve been training with Eric at ATP for about two and a half years now, and I can confidently say he’s one of the best. He’s a fantastic trainer and an all-around great guy. He knows exactly when to push me, and he’s excellent at adapting our workouts based on how I’m feeling, what my goals are, and what my body needs in any given week.

One of my favorite things about ATP is the environment and culture. You’ll see a wide range of people training here, from kids to athletes to adults of all ages. Because it’s a smaller gym, everyone actually gets to know each other. There’s always friendly conversation and encouragement, and that positive energy is a huge part of what keeps me coming back.

I’ve been training at this little gym with Eric C. for 2 years now and it’s honestly the best fitness decision I’ve ever made. It’s not fancy (no smoothie bar or rows of mirrors), just solid equipment, plenty of space to move, and zero ego. Eric is the real deal, he actually listens, remembers your goals and injuries, and pushes you exactly as hard as you need. Needing a gym to call home, I turned to team ATP in San Ramon. My trainer Mark Kolding has quickly become a focal point in my health turnaround. Facing a knee and hip replacement (and way overweight) I have greatly improved my health and quality of life. My fitness level increases weekly, as does my weight loss journey. He is transparent and assuring in his methods, laying the groundwork for measured and gradual improvements. Having never used a personal trainer before, I would highly recommend Mark and the team at ATP to anyone considering a personal transformation. I have been going to ATP Fitness for 7 mos and just love it. Before joining ATP fitness, I have hardly exercised, was out of shape and never kept a check on my diet. I have neck/lower back issues as well. I was looking for a nice and quiet gym with good personal trainers who understand my fitness level, health and put me on a fitness routine based on my needs and goals. That’s when I found ATP fitness and reached out to the owner Baron. He guided me very well and assigned Nick as my trainer.

Nick is a fantastic personal trainer who is not only highly knowledgeable about workout routines but also with diet/ nutrition. He is very kind, patient, thorough and really cares about his clients. He makes fitness enjoyable and creates a positive and motivating workout environment. He focuses on proper form and ensures that I exercise safely and effectively. He tailors the workouts to fit my specific goals and fitness level. He also put me on a diet plan suited to my dietary needs (vegetarian) with the goal to reduce weight, lose body fat and start building muscle mass. He gives constant feedback on my progress and reviews the workout plan frequently to ensure that I am on track. He helped me with my workouts during my travel using training videos and ensured I didn’t have a long break. I am seeing drastic improvement in my fitness level and have dropped quite a few sizes!

This gym is like a second home to me and I highly recommend it! It has a great atmosphere where it feels welcoming and motivating, suitable for beginners or experienced gym rats alike. It has clean and well-maintained equipment. All the trainers are knowledgeable, helpful and willing to assist. Everyone is friendly and approachable here!

I am looking forward to the next 6 mos of training with Nick and see where I land!

ATP is the perfect place for someone to start. Was very lucky to find ATP. At 56, out shape, fighting the yo-yo effect with my weight I decided to make a commitment to getting healthier and knew I needed to find a personal trainer. I phoned ATP and spoke to Baron, he paired my up with Shayan K for an introductory session and I was hooked. This was in March 2022. In the first year year I lost 35 pound and 6" inches off my waist and I have been able to maintain that while building more muscle. Shayan has been great, always supportive but also pushing me to do more. For someone that had never been in a weight room it was intimidating at first but Shayan made me feel comfortable. He was extremely diligent about making sure I was doing each exercise correctly and with the proper body position to ensure I didn't hurt myself. It has been a great experience and now I feel comfortable going to the gym on my own. If you are looking to get healthier, I highly recommend ATP and specifically Shayan to assist in your journey. I am now someone who looks forward to going to the gym 4 or 5 times a week. It has been a life changing transition for me and I honestly could not have done it without my trainer Shayan.

I've had the pleasure of working with my personal trainer Shayan for some time now, and I couldn't be happier with the results and the overall experience. He possesses a deep knowledge of fitness and nutrition. He took time to understand my capabilities and fitness goals and created a tailored workout which has been challenging yet safe and very effective. He started slow to build my foundation rather than jumping straight into all the machines and complex workouts which was quite useful. I had Ken Tadeo as a personal trainer back in February when I started my fitness journey. He was great with his instructions on body positioning as I did my workouts and provided me with a great workout plan that was not hard to keep up with. Atp is the best gym in the area and it feels like your own private gym, it’s very clean and everyone in the gym are nice and friendly.
I train with Baron and he is a great and knowledgeable trainer. I started training with him with zero experience and he is very supportive, friendly and encourages me to stick to the work out and diet plan with no judgement whatsoever . Been suffering with back pain for a while but after I started training with Baron I already feel my back so strong and no more pain for weeks now. Started lifting with Baron December 2022, and couldn't be happier with my progress; the only reason I had to stop is because I'm moving. I went to ATP for help with my squat and deadlift, and Baron delivered.

The gym itself is super clean, and well-equipped. The other trainers and clients are easygoing, and it just feels comfortable to be there. I'm very sad to be leaving, but I'd come back in a heartbeat if I moved back into the area.

I've been coming to ATP for about a year now. All the trainers are really friendly and are looking to work with you to meet your goals. I know most of the trainers and the owners, as there is a very communal feeling, and they all go above and beyond for their clients.

ATP is in a league of its own within the gym scene in the East Bay. I had just moved from the city and was looking for a non commercial gym with personal training options. I’ve been training at ATP for 3+ years and love it. At the time I joined I was looking for a personal trainer to help me gain strength, improve balance, flexibility, and overall muscle mass. It was important for me to work with a trainer that understood my physical abilities and knew how to train someone in my age group (60+).

Working with Baron Lambert has been the best experience. He not only has become a great friend, but challenges me each session with different exercises while targeting core, leg and upper body strength.

I regularly attend Saturday morning boot-camp which is a great way to start my weekend. The class targets all muscle group and helps me stay flexible.

Trainers at ATP are very knowledgeable and friendly, a great group to be around. The space is conveniently located, clean and has all the equipment I need.

The first time I went to ATP Fitness and met Baron was Sept 17, 2022, weighing in at about 217 lbs (I'm 6' btw). In the last 3 months, I've lost more than 30 lbs (crushing our original goal), and I owe a TON of it to Baron. I've had a few personal trainers over the past decade, and Baron is by far the best. His support and guidance has been crucial through my journey. He knows how to work with you, he listens to your feedback and concerns, and he's quite knowledgeable when it comes to diet and exercise. If you listen to him AND try your hardest when working out, you will see results. Lastly, his gym is well stocked with all the necessary machines, weights, etc. I highly recommend Baron as a personal trainer, as he goes above and beyond for his clients.

I felt like ATP fitness is a hidden gem in San Ramon. After back invasive surgery and ankle problem, I stopped hiking which is the only workout I had done for a few years. Due to ankle problems and Covid, I hadn’t done any workout and was getting depressed. I knew I got to start workout but didn’t know where to start and what to do. Due to bad back and ankle, I needed a personal trainer’s help not to get hurt during the workout. However, it was a daunting job to find the right one for me. It’s hard to tell if the gym or trainers would be right one based on website. I have been to big gyms but i felt uncomfortable or insecure since most of people at gym are athletic or fit and seems know what to do unlike me.

This time, I decided to go smaller gyms and found ATP fitness San Ramon on line. I emailed for consultation. Barron, my personal trainer, responded me quick and set an appoint to talk about my physical concerns and my goals for personal training. I have had a training since last October at ATP Fitness and it has been one of the best choices I have made to do workout here. Unlike the big gyms, personal trainers and people doing workout are so friendly and care for each other. Truly, inclusive atmosphere regardless of fitness level and ATP fitness has become a family to me.

During strength training, my personal trainer always check on how i feel my back and ankle which is great thing. Sometimes, I have had some pains in my back. If i were on my own, i would probably stop working out. However my personal trainer recommends other workout without hurting my back and makes me keep doing workout which helps building muscles and strength.

I am sure everybody know once you stop doing workout and resuming is harder and delays the noticeable results which make people not to do workout. Vicious circle. Since i work out consistently with personal trainer’s help regardless of intermittent back pains, I have slowly become stronger, which makes me keep going forward.

Hands down one of the best decision I’ve made was to choose and join ATP Fitness to get to my fitness goals. Shayan and Baron have been amazing throughout my fitness and weight loss journey. I’ve been working out several days a week with Daniel for about a year. He’s amazing - really knowledgable - digs into the science behind what we’re doing (dude’s got a Masters Degree) and can explain why it’s working. He works me hard and I’m seeing lots of results. Had the opportunity to train here for the past two years. They took me in after multiple knee surgeries. Went from rehabilitation to mobility to strength training. I had the pleasure of working with my trainer, Eric. As goofy as he may be, he is incredibly intelligent and will cater any program to your specific needs. The entire crew is awesome. I started at ATP with an email to Baron, the owner. It wasn’t more than 10 minutes before I received a response saying he’d connect me with the perfect trainer - Shayan. And sure enough it was a perfect fit! As a smaller guy, I sometimes am hesitant about gyms, mostly for feeling out of place. With my goal being to gain more muscle mass- I never once felt out of place at ATP. All the trainers welcomed me and rooted for my progress. Having tried gym routines alone, and ones from the Internet to no avail, I soon realized that form and routine, and diet were no joke! And this was something Shayan knew all about. After 4-5 months, I notice an immense change, and so did the other trainers at the gym. It truly is a second family, with everyone wanting the same goal - you to meet your goal. Also, in these crazy times, I always found ATP to be safe and clean! When i joined the team here as a trainer i was blown away with the level of knowledge and education that the trainers have here. The environment and atmosphere is amazing and everyone put their heart in to their work and really take care of their clients. I personally know some of the other trainer’s clients there and i speak to them outside of the gym and they love their trainers. Even tho im a trainer at atp fitness but still my friends who do get trained by the other trainers always speak good of them and that says alot. I always have a wonderful time at ATP! Baron is great and I feel pushed to work hard, but always in a safe manner and with proper form. I already feel stronger and I'm never bored during my workouts. He also works around my schedule and tailors the training to my needs. The gym itself is very clean and well-quipped. I’ve been training at this gym with one of the owners, Daniel, for a couple years. I always have fun at my sessions and appreciate the friendly and welcoming atmosphere at this gym. The trainers here are very knowledgeable about fitness and know how to tailor my sessions around my injuries or what I feel like working on. I can also blame her for my really nice looking tush. She’s very flexible, gives such good positive reinforcement and really cares about her clients. I also really enjoy the gym. I train with Kyndra a few times a week. I have never been a gym person. I have never actually worked out at a gym before except when friends drug me in to theirs. I have been a dance teacher/dancer for many years, but as my body has been changing as I get older I needed to do some cross training. Dance used to be the only thing I needed to do to keep fit.

Kyndra has been amazing! She is really great about showing me how to do things. I also need motivation to work hard (not in dance class but for sure lifting weights) and Kyndra always provides that, she does not let my dramatic self get out of anything. She is also super supportive of all of my other endeavors and makes me feel like she is invested in what I want to change in my life and also outside of that.

The gym is always clean, the other employees are always nice and say hello. They have free water and Gatorade as well!

I joined because my wife had and she was losing weight plus getting stronger, I didn't want to get left behind...Since I began on April 10th, I have had fun working out and learning many different ways to use my own body weight to work up a great sweat. I have lost about 15 lbs and feel in better shape. Being able to have a free session gave me a perspective of what to expect. I happened to get Eric as my personal trainer and he has kept me both motivated and entertained during each session. I am amazed at the different fun and innovated ways he keeps the exercises moving along and the hour session seems to fly by. I started with Baron almost 2 years ago, and have not stepped back into a gym until ATP fitness opened. While home based training does the job, it’s nice to go to this small gym and mix up the exercises. It has all the latest equipment without the hassle of a big gym. Baron is the best! I can't thank him enough or recommend him enough as a trainer! We started working together about 6 months before my wedding after I'd done everything I could on my own at the gym. I wanted to learn to use more of the equipment and feel more confident doing more than just cardio. And he helped me do exactly that! Baron made things fun and kept me moving and helped me achieve and even pass up my original fitness goals! I have struggled before working with people as I can easily get triggered into a migraine from working out. I let Baron know the things I had to be careful of doing and he listened and never pushed me in a way that was unsafe for me. Also, having a personal trainer work with me 1:1 really pushes me in my workouts and makes me feel confident that I am performing my exercises correctly. I can't speak highly enough of Dan as a trainer. It's all about form with Daniel. He really ensures you are doing the exercise correctly in order to maximize results and minimize risk of injury. He's also very knowledgeable in kinesiology, from both formal education and experience, so his routines are tuned for individual objectives and issues (I was trying to improve joint and core strength to deal with running issues). Lastly, despite my having a narrow objective, he was able to vary the routines each time to achieve desired results while keeping me interested and engaged. Definitely recommend Dan.

Daniel is in a class of his own as a personal trainer! He's instructive, patient, motivational and tops it all off with his great sense of humor!

When I met Daniel, I was hobbling around with a bum knee and my lower back ached and groaned each morning. My body felt about as sturdy as a '72 Pinto... Daniel was able to pinpoint the root causes and explained how they were interrelated. He then mapped out a plan for us to steadily address the issues. Having had *zero* experience in the gym, he patiently taught me the ropes -- focusing on form -- so I avoided injuring myself. With his guidance and encouragement, I feel fitter in my mid-40s than even my peak running days in my thirties.
