I took the foundations class and absolutely loved it! It was the best balance of strength and stretching. The coach was great and supported adjustments to make all movements possible. Super excited to try another class.

Iβm an absolute beginner at Pilates and Avenir could not have been more welcoming! I took their Fundamentals class with Denise this week and it was the perfect introduction to Pilates. Denise was so friendly and helped me to feel comfortable in class, being extra supportive and clear with instructions on how to do each exercise. A perfect mix of strength training with stretching and yoga elements too, I loved it! I will definitely be back! :)

Horrible energy, rude instructor. Also requiring grip socks is the weirdest money grab pilates studios do. Genuinely so odd. I've been doing pilates as a former-athlete with sensitive joints for low intensity movement since 2018, thin cotton socks never slip on reformer surfaces. I miss the times before pilates became "popular" and classes were just full of sweet elderly women and not whatever this situation is. Requiring grip socks was also never a thing before lmao

I've been coming to Avenir about twice a week since last July and highly recommend it! I was a complete pilates newbie and have found the staff to be very friendly and supportive of my journey. I love the music and ambiance, and the classes I've attended (Body Tonic, Fundamentals) have been very supportive of diverse body types and abilities - I appreciate that the instructors offer ways to modify the exercises throughout the classes in ways that don't single any one person out. If it's your first time at this location, be warned there's a tiny parking lot, so you may need to find some of the ample street parking around the neighborhood unless you arrive just as the previous class disperses.

Avenir is my favorite studio and Body Tonic is my favorite class in all of Los Angeles. I moved out of Silverlake and still drive to both locations to take their classes, pro for Burbank is easy parking! The best combination of classical Pilates with more dynamic / fun movements and vibes and aesthetics are perfect too. Also very inclusive and welcoming.

I've always loved Pilates, and this studio, and all the amazing instructors have made me feel so strong. It's a Boutique feel, not a big chain of Pilate studios, there is great parking and it's affordable and fun. The lighting and the music are always complementary to your class. A bunch of different levels, and every instructor is always giving modifications and giving so much support.
There are people of all ages, a lot of guys in there getting strong too. And it's ridiculously clean! You have to wipe down everything after, and they swiffer between classes, and at the end of the night and dust. Great, safe parking and I just love all the girls who make me feel super strong after back to back injuries, thank you ladies, so so much! Your fan, Lori.

I just started going to this studio and I love it! Everyone is very supportive and encouraging. I was struggling with a plank on the reformer and not only did the teacher help me but a fellow class member encouraged me after class. I tried the 7x7 and then purchased an unlimited pass!

I've been a pilates girlie since pre-covid at the first Avenir studio over the hill. This studio, these instructors, (especially Allie) have shaped my pilates journey and taught me so much. I bounce now between this studio and a lagree studio and the workout I get here continually puts me through my paces.
I recommend Avenir to all my pilates curious friends whether they're far along on their fitness journey or brand new. The classes here are challenging without feeling impossible. Pilates is all about slowly improving so you can hold that pose for one second longer or get your form as aligned as possible for you. There are so many modifications and all the instructors at Avenir are well versed and supportive in doing what feels right for you.
The studio is gorgeous and clean. All the reformers are new and the weights, balls, etc are in perfect condition. It's such a vibe when the lights change color and the playlist is always on point.
I'm a lifelong Avenir girlie π

Class started at 12:30pm, they state there is a 5-min grace period. My first time going to this studio and I pulled up at 12:30pm to the tiny shared parking lot that had only a few parking spots that were not reserved for other businesses, so obviously lot was full. Circled the block, street parking was full so I had to park a bit far. Ran up and got there at EXACTLY 12:35pm. Door was locked. This is literally the only pilates studio I have ever been to with such a short grace period and I have been to almost every studio in LA. The workouts at this studio are also only 45 mins long, compared to the standard 50 mins at other studios.
This works well for them because they can charge you a cancellation fee for "missing" a reservation when really they just decided to lock the door before the grace period ended. A 5-min grace period means I can enter up until the clock hits 12:36pm so if I arrive at 12:35pm I expect to be let in.
How are you not going to provide enough parking and still enforce such a short grace period? Make it make sense
Go to a different studio, there are plenty of great ones in LA.
