As a young man I practiced martial arts. Now in my seventies I have found Tai Chi extremely beneficial as I age with its gentle flow and rhythm. Linda's inclusion of warm up stretching and Qigong sets round out a solid practice. Linda's ability to be funny and instructive during practice helps insure students learn the key basics as well as advanced movements. Her classes have made my life better and highly recommend you check them out on your road to health and longitivity.

5 stars! Linda teaches a great class. Enjoyable and thorough. She combines informed and experienced instruction with humor and acceptance. A good blend of the practical and the 'woo woo'.

I was first introduced to Tai Chi in the 1970’s. Now I’m in my 70’s and re-entering my Tai Chi practice with Linda and her Awakening Chi classes. It is transformative including the Qi Gong warm ups. I’m hoping to continue my practice with Linda as I continue to age and maintain my mind and body health.

I’ve been a student in Linda class for approximately one year. I love her approach to the art of tai chi, she is an inspiration. I learned so much in that one year. I enjoy going to Linda’s class, she makes me feel whole again, situated and down to earth. Linda is very gracious human being, she is very generous with her knowledge, she always makes me feel good about myself and my progress in tai chi. Linda has also a very positive attitude towards us, and she also has a very adequate sense of humor.I love, and appreciate her as a teacher….Thank you Linda for sharing your experience with us. I've been studying tai chi with the teacher, Linda, for the last five years. She is deeply knowledgeable and brings fresh insight and nuance to each class. She is keenly observant and often designs lessons around the specific needs of students. She is able to help create an atmosphere of quiet focus while also making the class relaxed and fun. I feel privileged to be able to study with her! I highly recommend her classes!

Linda is gentle and light hearted with a thorough knowledge of traditional practice and a thoughtful way of sharing it. She maintains a rigorous learning and professional relationship with her teacher, Deng Ming Dao, who comes to Santa Cruz often for weekend workshops with Linda's support. His teaching, and by extension hers, combines traditional philosophy with a mind body soul approach to practice and form. I'm so glad to have met them both and appreciate every chance to learn with them.
