Incredible studio that I have been looking for for SO long!! Ill start by saying I started doing yoga (specifically baptiste) in 2011 and it completely changed my life. I did it almost every single day for 4 years while in college. In 2015 after I graduated I noticed that yoga classes just werent giving me the same joy/benefits they once did so I switched to other forms of exercise which was great at first. I would do yoga maybe once a week or once every two weeks.

Then i noticed that bc I didnt find a studio that I loved that my body was paying for it. I wasnt stretching in the same way I did in yoga and then I stopped stretching entirely. I had chronic back pain and kept throwing my back out, despite being overall very fit and active.

Fast forward to a few months ago when I threw my back out again and noticed really bad hip flexor shooting pain. I decided to finally pay attention. Went to PT, got very painful myofascial release massages, did acupuncture and signed up for Baptiste. Truly the only thing that has made me feel better are these baptiste classes. Not only that, but I feel the same joy i did when i first started taking classes over a decade ago.

Classes at baptiste are the way yoga SHOULD be everywhere!! You gain so much when the sequences are more or less the same because you tune into your body and feel what is better and what needs more attention. I love that the teachers actually are tuned into communicating poses so that they align with breath. So many teachers these days tell us to breathe but dont realize their pace is too quick for what should be a ‘moving mediation’- so slow full breath. I love that most of the classes also dont have music which i find is such a distraction. Love the 90 minute and 75 minute classes on the weekend too bc it doesnt feel rushed and you can focus on other stretches with a completely warmed up body.

These classes are tough but SO rewarding. I know when my back and body is feeling stiff that the best thing I can do for myself is get me to one of these classes. So grateful for this studio and everyone that works here. Ive fallen in love with yoga all over again.

The sound bath at Baptiste was one of the most beautiful and transformative experiences of my life. As the waves of sound moved through me, I felt layers of stress and old energy gently lift away, leaving only peace and lightness. It was as if I was floating beyond time, held by something greater than myself — calm, safe, and completely free.

Blair and Annie created a space that felt sacred and deeply nurturing. Their energy, intention, and care could be felt in every moment. I’m so grateful to them both for guiding such a profound journey — one that I will carry in my heart for a long time.

Thank you, Blair and Annie, for this incredible gift.

A hidden yoga gem in Presidio Park!
Kyla’s class at Baptiste Yoga was exactly what I needed before my flight—energizing, fun, and deeply restorative. Her energy is uplifting, her flow is beautifully balanced, and I left feeling refreshed and grounded. Highly recommend!

Baptiste SF is amazing. Whenever I am traveling I book at least one class here and feel totally welcome. It’s a hot, sweaty, power practice. Love the Baptiste foundation, strong teachers, authentic community. Gudrun offers an amazing 90-min Sunday morning class; it is such a treat.

I'm thankful to have found this studio. While it is tucked away in the Presidio, parking is easy and it makes for a serene retrieve. The class is surprisingly engaging considering there is no music. I love that classes start with OM's - the Baptiste community is strong and vibrates through every class. The flow focuses mostly on strength and pose accuracy. Very enjoyable, a staple in my routine. One thing I'm most grateful for is that I've been able to leave my pup in the lobby in a carrier during class. Thank you so much!!

I'm new to yoga, and every class that I've been to thus far has been fantastic. It's a welcoming environment that takes its yoga practice seriously, but manages to not be off-putting to the uninitiated & novices amongst us. Thus far, I've only been to Wylie and Gudrun's classes, and both were wonderful.

overall I would recommend this place out of convenience, and class sizes during non peak hours (after work & weekends). Only reason I am giving 4 stars is I get the distinct smell of mold in the studio. Best guess is mold might be starting to form underneath the padded foam flooring. Im rather sensitive to mold and can usually detect it quickly in a space. Id encourage the staff to please check and see if this hunch is correct.

I had been seeking for an alternative studio in the Marina area when I stumbled onto this hidden treasure. I had some reservations about going at first, but in the end I decided to attend, and when I got there, I was really taken aback by how amazing the direct flow was and how immaculate the studio is. Although it seemed more like ashtanga than vinyasa, I really loved it and would definitely go there again in the future.

In 2018 a friend asked me to join her at BYSF. I was not a regular yogi practitioner by any means, but the Baptiste methodology, a 60 min practice rooted in finding your edge and learning to breathe through it, is exhilarating. It’s a diverse community, women & men of all ages and levels all coming together to practice a moving meditation of challenging power yoga. I am forever grateful to have found this studio and know how magical it is to find your tribe. Be a yes, check it out, and be ready to grow through flow!

Best yoga studio in the area. The teachers and owners are so passionate and friendly about all things yoga, as well as just getting to know me as a person, without talking about yoga.

The classes are challenging, and in the best way. There is something different happening in this studio from others I’ve been to. I can’t even put my finger on it. It’s an experience, to say the least. I’d highly recommend anyone to check this place out, to see for yourself the experience I’m speaking to.

We just moved a few months ago back east and I spent about 2 years with this beautiful community in SF. The group of teachers here is second to none and the BPYSF family is the most connected yoga family i have ever had the honor to be a part of. You will NOT regret stepping through those doors - it will change you, it will allow you to grow, it will open your mind and heart to so much - beyond just the practice (WHICH IS ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL). I miss this place every day.

Sean and Jen have done an amazing job of attracting a team of teachers who are very much like themselves: kind, generous, humble and inspiring. The studio is beautiful, clean and well maintained. The community is inter-generational and from all walks of life. The best studio I've been to in 20+ years in SF.

I've actually never been to this facility but I have had private sessions Nate P. when he comes to Santa Barbara and he is an amazing teacher. Always pushes me to my limits (in the best way). He's fun/challenging/intelligent/a great leader. I wish he lived closer so I could frequent his classes.
