I joined Basecamp about a year ago after not regularly working out for a few years, and I have really enjoyed my experience. The workouts give me a great combination of strength work and cardio to help me stay active and maintain (and even build!) muscle mass. Exactly what I needed.
What I didn’t expect was the community I would find. The coaches and management work hard to get to know our names and how we are doing and if there is anything they can do to help. Little steps like letting us know what bike we are on when we arrive make all the difference.
I would recommend Basecamp Burlingame to everyone without hesitation.

If you're looking for a studio that brings nonstop energy and isn't boring, Basecamp Fitness is the right one for you. Basecamp has been instrumental in my fitness journey; seriously, you're going to gain muscles and be able to fit into your old clothes again. If it worked for me, it'll work for you. There's a wide variety of equipment to choose from and the moves are modification-friendly. Best of all, the staff and coaches create a sense of camaraderie like no other. Thank you for getting me back in the best shape I’ve been in in my 40s, Basecamp Burlingame Team! I’ve been active my whole life, but when I came to Basecamp I was wildly out of shape due to life circumstances. It didn’t take long before my cardio & strength conditioning started to come back and I’m happy to now be in the best shape I’ve been in since my 20s, what?!
I’ve always been a group fitness person - someone just please tell me what to do. But I also need to be engaged and pushed to feel satisfied with my workout. The classes are always different, never boring, and work all parts of your body. Not to mention that they are time friendly: 45 minutes and you’re out the door having had a great workout. I’m not a big cardio fan, but the short stints on the bike make it doable.
And let’s not forget the coaches: Euni has put together a phenomenal team of trainers (Eddie, Rafa, & Euni herself are my personal faves). They will motivate you to your limits, but always in an encouraging/not pushy or intimidating way. All of the Basecamp staff are incredibly friendly and seem genuinely happy to be there to help everyone who comes through their door. How they remember everyone’s names is beyond me! While very professional, Basecamp Burlingame also makes you feel like you’re part of a fitness family. In sum, I’m so happy I finally pulled the trigger and came to Basecamp. My only wish - better parking - but that’s just part of the deal when I’m downtown Burlingame. Even then, I’m usually able to find a street spot in the surrounding neighborhood.
If you’re ready to kick up your fitness game and have a good time doing it, I highly encourage giving them a try!

I tried the one week trail offer they have and within 4 classes I decided to get the membership, they are great, love the ambience and everyone is so welcoming and friendly, they have a really nice community and the trainers are awesome, so far I’ve only had classes with Euni, she’s awesome, the energy she brings is another level and she pushes you to do more and get out of the comfort zone. I’m excited to have classes with the other trainers! I joined because I just had a knee injury and I let them know this in my first visit and they have been Checking on me to see how I feel and also gave me modifications for the exercises that I’m not able to do which I really appreciate!!
Looking forward to be part of this great community and to get fit, because I’m not a gym person tbh, but I’m happy that I joined and to continue with it!

Love the format—short and sweet, but hard work, although not too high-pressure, so the classes really are what you make them. My fav coaches are Drew & Euni, but all are good and will coach you to push yourself. Some people are giving 100% while others are on their phone or taking breaks which can bring down the vibe, but ultimately you get what you put in. Also way less expensive than other HIIT studios and they run promos all the time.

Over 400 workouts in and I’m still never bored of Basecamp! It’s the perfect mix of strength, high intensity, and cardio training. Workouts are 35-45 minutes and it goes by fast! A Basecamp workout is accessible for beginners yet never stops being challenging even for the seasoned members. As the coaches say, it never gets easier, you just get stronger. Booking classes on the app is a breeze. There are locations now in San Mateo and Millbrae too so members can studio hop, but the Burlingame fam will always be my favs.

I’ve been a member at the original Burlingame studio since 2016 and still thoroughly enjoy the classes, but really it’s about being part of a great community. The OG coaches, Euni, Helene and Drew have been there since I joined and are some the best fitness instructors around. They always keep the classes interesting and fresh with each having their unique style and approaches. The new(er) instructors, Sam, Eddie, Rafa, Nicole and Chris have all added to the great crew of coaches as well. I can’t forget to give a shout out to the front staff that also keep the studio running smoothly every day. I got the Holiday Hustle pass (30 days for $60) and just completed it yesterday. Of course, I didn't go in blind, I actually tried one of their classes through ClassPass first and thought it was a great workout. The Holiday Hustle was a great decision for me because it got me going in almost every day, minus some days because we were out of town. Also somehow they remember everyone's names at the front desk and it makes you feel like you're part of their community. After 30 days, I definitely feel a difference, I think the core exercises have been getting a tiny bit easier (definitely still hard). I actually decided to get a membership so l'm very excited to continue going to classes!
I think the workout is great, it's 35 mins, sometimes it's 60/10, 90/15, 40/20, or 110/10. The first number is the number of seconds on each workout (either the workout on the screen or the bike) and the second number is the number of seconds you get to transition from floor to bike or vice versa. I love this structure of the class, I feel like I'm getting a great workout in. After 35 mins, there's either core or stretch, depending on what the workout was, for 10 mins.
The vibes in each class is great, everyone's there to work out and to get a good session in. The instructors are great at giving instructions and being motivating. BUT there are sometimes where there are people who just talk nonstop during a class, this is very rare but it happens (maybe 3-4 times in the last 30 days). They talk like they're in a coffee shop and it's so distracting to the rest of the class. Because the music is also blasting, they're talking even louder over the music. It would be nice if the instructors can kindly ask them to either talk less or lower. I go to workout classes so I can be in the environment with other people who are also there to accomplish the same thing but when there's distractions, it's really hard to get into that workout mindset.
Overall, great workout, great community, clean studio, highly recommend giving Basecamp a try!

I’ve always been active, playing sports throughout school and even in college. As an adult, we just don’t have the time to train and stay in shape. That’s what I love most about Basecamp: its workouts are in and out within 45 min, targeting different muscle groups, and also working in cardio each time. Also booking classes through their app, and integration with a smart watch makes everything so slick. Finally, I love the teachers who help with form and motivation.

100/10 stars!!! I love Basecamp Burlingame! The coaches are super knowledgeable and fun, keeping the class engaged and pushing us to our limits. They will also demonstrate and help correct your form. The format is fast paced and intense, but a great workout. The front desk staff are also extremely friendly, helpful, and welcoming. I've been a Burlingame Basecamp member since the start, over 10years ago! This speaks volumes for a non-committal person like myself lol. The folks in the front that check you in are always so friendly and welcoming, the trainers are experienced and enthusiastic - encouraging you to push yourself and providing corrections when needed, and they're good at switching up the workouts so it's never dull or not challenging. Basecamp Fitness Burlingame has been the perfect workout for me. I could not stick to a routine for more than 15 years. When I started at Basecamp, it was amazing. The coaches, the community, everything. I’m at 9 years and going strong. The format is perfect because it alternates cardio with strength. They mix up the routines to focus on muscle groups on different days. It has made me in much better shape and much stronger. I think it is a fantastic workout for anyone, but it is particularly good for women over 40. It has kept my bone density up and my cardiovascular system in great shape. 5 stars isn’t enough for the ORIGINAL Basecamp and its employees. They are the best!

I started going to Basecamp Jan 2024. I go pretty much every day. It has been great if group fitness classes is your thing. Very happy to be part of the community. I like the coaches, inspiring pros.
My only thing is the workout style which alternates between cycling and lifting on the floor. It is not the most pleasant experience to lie down on a filthy floor on and off. They do a great job of cleaning up after each session, but it gets dirty rather quickly again as everyone starts exercising on the floor. You may want to bring a towel to cover the floor. The reality is you may get used to it anyways…
Otherwise, I love the classes and various exercises/challenges we do. The exercises are designed to build strength and obviously are good for cardio…

I have been a member of Basecamp Fitness in Burlingame since February 2023. I am so happy to be a part of such a great gym. The instructors are all awesome - each with their own unique challenges to push my limits - I am never disappointed and I have NOT become bored with the classes. That says a lot! The number of classes offered is a huge plus. The front desk is always willing to help and always the best greeting I get at 5 am. Gym is always clean; equipment is maintained; and parking is easy. I have to admit my best days start because of Basecamp. There is no where I would rather be (and I have been to many gyms and exercise classes). I highly recommend Basecamp Fitness.

I’m so glad I was introduced to Basecamp. After completing my 30-days on a buddy pass, I committed to an annual membership. The classes keep me accountable, the instructors push me to be better, and the staff is amazing. Basecamp has become part of my daily routine and I plan to keep it that way.

Very atmospheric experience, lights and everything feels futuristic in an awesome way. Everything is clean and nice.
It's very small - just bike exercise machines, dumbbells and other weights, pull up bar, but the exercise routine is good.
It a bit on a pricy side, but nothing crazy for peninsula. Definitely worth a try.
When we went it was September 2023 it was $200/month for unlimited with a contract or $120/month for 4 times a month without contract or $100/month with a yearly contract.

The Basecamp Fitness Burlingame team are ace. I went for my first session this morning. The welcome was wonderful. They went above and beyond to make sure I was prepped for the class, they even labelled my bike with a welcome card! Angeline, the trainer, knew how to push me the right amount and keep it fun. She was also super motivating. Then there’s the community, they were really friendly and helped me follow the workout. Definitely recommend getting your sweat on here 😅

Pros: convenient location, Yumi is a great instructor, equipment is well maintained
Cons: overly aggressive growth campaigns - they do a month of discounted membership and then for a month you can’t get a spot so basically they just took beefed up membership fees without service. Also, the space is super dark so it’s a bit depressing when you go in there

Basecamp continues to offer the best aerobic fitness experience in Burlingame! The new location is clean, well-organized, and features a few special touches! Staff is always genuinely friendly and knows everyone by name. The workouts are sufficiently challenging, but not impossible. You push yourself as hard as you want, then the instructors are there to nudge you just a bit further. Great camaraderie. Best of all, its literally 45 mins in-and-out and you're done!

I have been a member here for 5+ years and it has changed my life. I’m in the best shape of my life thanks to Basecamp. You just show up and they do everything for you. The different workouts are great, the instructors get you pumped up, and push you to get out of your comfort zone. The community and people are also friendly and supportive. It’s a great group and I recommend it to people of all levels, just getting started or seriously committed everyone can get something out of it.

The workouts are perfect, quick but efficient, you can get an amazing workout in just 45 minutes and they map it out so you could do 7 days a week if you wanted without over taxing one muscle group.

Me and my wife were welcomed back because she came during an event. We were looking to join a fitness program to better ourselves. The woman(sorry I didn't get your name) who welcomed us was very pleasant and acknowledged us and remembered my wife 👍. Thank you for welcoming us.
The class was alright, it's not bad but the instructors instructions or motivatiosns were kinda mumbles by the bad mic/ speaker setup but I did like that she moved around and made sure everyone was doing the motions properly, or to a certain extent.
We will be coming back for the next few sessions to then make a final decision if we will be joining.
For now, it's looking pretty good.

SUPER solid workout here with Coach Andrew! I came with a Yelp elite event and it was really fun to alternate cardio and strength, especially with the 1 min on/off format - it felt doable yet challenging at the same time and I really worked up a sweat, especially during the sprinting sections.
The workout section is nice since there are videos to show you how to do exercises - but I don't think this class is for beginners - it's definitely easier for people who are good at pushing themselves and know how to do exercises.
Overall solid workout, clean facility, cool people and a good time!
