Basecamp Pasadena is phenomenal. Every single staff member and trainers are so friendly and supportive. They are all consummate professionals (I've had back surgery years ago and watch for me making sure my posture is right). Their positive energy motivate me to make the most of their highly efficient workouts. It's amazing how I can notice my body get much leaner and stronger. I can't wait to go to my next session. Basecamp is seriously one of my favorite places to work out. The energy is always amazing and I love how it gives me a break from the mental load of the day. It's a fun and challenging workout that always leaves me feeling better (physically and mentally)!
All the instructors are great, but I have to give a shoutout to Matt he's super helpful and always checks to make sure my form is on point. If you're dealing with an injury or need modifications, they'll work with you and adjust things so you can still get a solid workout.
Also, the front desk crew is the amazing as well especially Natalie, Chris and Rebecca. They really make the space feel like a little community.
I highly recommend checking it out if you're looking for a place that's motivating, supportive and actually fun.

Tai H., the studio manager at Basecamp Fitness was very helpful. We love Basecamp because it's just a quick 45 mins workout but you totally feel the full-body workout afterwards. Love visiting every time I'm in town, and it's very convenient since our Compass office is just next door.

I love this gym. You can scale your workouts and modify if needed—lifting heavier or biking harder on days when you need it, or going lighter and doing more reps on other days. It’s very clean and the staff is wonderful 😊

I had the chance to try out Basecamp Fitness thanks to a generous trial membership offer through a Yelp Elite event. It was really thoughtful of them to extend this to someone like me, who doesn't typically hit the gym but was curious to give it a shot.
Surprisingly, I ended up going for five straight days! After my first session, I was completely wiped out. The workout is intense, especially for someone like me who isn’t a regular gym-goer (though I do play some sports). The fast-paced switch between the bike and floor exercises felt like a whirlwind at first, but I eventually got the hang of it.
What really stood out to me was the coaching. Some instructors challenged me to push myself with heavier weights, which I appreciated. They also corrected my form during certain exercises — super helpful since I wasn’t always sure what I was doing.
By the end of the five days, I could feel my body adapting. If I had continued, I’m pretty sure I would’ve started seeing some real muscle gains. That said, I did feel pretty tired throughout those days, and ultimately, the class schedule just didn’t work for me. The latest session at 6:15 p.m. was tough to commit to consistently.
The staff at Basecamp is fantastic! By day three, the receptionist already knew me by name — such a nice touch that shows they really pay attention to their members. The instructors were always encouraging and motivating, which made each workout feel positive, even when I was struggling.
If you're looking to try a challenging HIIT workout in a supportive environment, I’d definitely recommend giving Basecamp a shot!

I just got done with Lower body with Brandon and omg!! He is amazing. I really love how motivated he kept me and how he focused on my form and actually asked me if I had any prior injuries. This place is so cool and I really love the vibes. It’s super clean!!! I really love that it’s bright inside and I feel really good with my first class. I am definitely coming back.

very nice Gym the first time i was confused I had no idea what I was doing and hated those bikes but when I was traveling and training in other gyms I learned more about the bikes and i kind of I am ok with that .
I love that all the trainers are very fit my favorite is Stephanie Blasi she is great and I love the fact they are so attentive, all the trainers are super nice and high energy .
I love gong to different gyms thats why I was doing class pass first but I think this will be one of my Gyms I really like it here .

Love Basecamp! I do not pay for fitness classes unless I feel it is really worth the investment, and Basecamp is 100% worth it. The workout is challenging and fast-paced, so you only have 60-90 seconds of an exercise before moving on, which makes the time fly by. The music is paired really well with the workout, the instructors are great, and the staff make an effort to know you by name. I recommend it to everyone!

I signed up for Basecamp end of November of 2023 and it’s been such an amazing experience. The instructors are great with lots of energy and you can definitely go at your own pace. I would definitely recommend Basecamp for any level you might be in with your fitness journey.

LOVE Basecamp Pasadena! The coaches are universally fun and friendly, while all bringing their own flavor and personality to class. Front desk staff is welcoming and helpful. The gym itself is bright and sunny. Equipment is in great shape. The workout is fast and intense and changes up daily so you don’t get bored or burnt out. I love that you can bring a friend for free!

I wanted to cancel my membership and the person on the phone convinced me to freeze my account assuring me I would get ample warning when my account would be reactivated.
I received no warning email, no confirmation email that my account was reactivated. I did not see or receive the email that said my membership was reactivated.
I was charged for 2 months bc I missed or did not receive that email and didn’t realize until I checked my credit card account.
When I called and explained my frustration they did not refund me for any of the months or for the misunderstanding, only that they sent the email and I supposedly opened it. Completely frustrating.
If you cancel, make sure you cancel.

This place was so fun, so friendly, so welcoming. I was a little bit intimidated and felt very much out of my element, but I want to come back even so, mostly because of the people. The trainer was so full of energy and everybody there was so motivating! I’m just looking for a workout buddy to come with me so that there are two of us feeling lost, not just me. 😂

I spent about a decade telling myself “this year is the year I become more active and exercise”. Basecamp is quite literally the only exercise option that has worked for me. I’ve tried personal training, all the different stand alone gyms, but Basecamp is it for me. My favorite coaches are Stephanie, Brandon, and Matt! I have some physical limitations and each of them are so kind and take extra care to ensure I modify the exercises that may cause me issues. I really don’t think I’d exercise if it wasn’t for Basecamp, which has totally changed my life. the front desk staff are also the absolute best!

I’m glad I tried two different classes; The first class was a little hard for me to follow because there are different exercises happening for different groups and then you have to move across the floor to get to your next station. The second class was easier to follow. I really liked the energy of the instructor, Stephanie.
You alternate between 1 minute assault bike and 1 minute a strength or plyometric exercise; finish the class with core. I really enjoyed the lower body class - the lower body was harder than some of the treadmill/strength/rowing based HIIT classes I’ve done at other studios. Definitely my favorite gym. I almost don't want to write such a good review to avoid everyone else wanting to come, but I can't deny it. I've tried so many different gyms and workout programs, Basecamp is really the one that sticks cuz it's effective, efficient, and fun! I've been coming here since 2017 ( minus the pandemic) and I don't see myself going anywhere soon. The workout is 35 minutes so you can get on with your day. It's effective for ALL fitness levels from beginners, teenagers, seniors, and everyone in between!

I've been going to Basecamp for about 7 months now, I can say that they have changed the fitness game for me, I feel committed and disciplined to a routine that I've never had.
The short but impactful sessions are so effective in building strength and balance, the coaches are nice and knowledgeable, you can control how much you want to push yourself in every session, you can adjust most of the exercises to your own liking and condition,

Basecamp Fitness is by far the best place to workout! They're is such a community-based atmosphere, which I believe is integral in achieving one's personal fitness goals! You need the support of your community, with those in it who can offer you modifications/suggestions on how to better achieve those goals.
The coaches are fantastic, the staff superb, and the workouts are killer (in a great way)! Basecamp focuses on low impact workouts, but offers an abundance of modifications going into high impact work. I have injuries and joint issues that high impact workouts are too much for, so I'm very grateful that the coaches offer the modifications I need in order to progress in my goals. Thanks guys!

It's my 1st and only Interval Training gym I've ever tried... it've been a commitment since November 2018. Basecamp combines a variety of group exercises daily working my entire body... each exercise is different and it doesn't allow my body to get used to a one type of body movement. All instructors are super knowledgeable and attentive to fix your body practice position to next level

I was very happy with my membership at the WeHo location. However, the Pasadena location does not honor an "unlimited" subscription. If you have an unlimited subscription ($220/mo) and you change the time of your class they charge an extra $10 to change the time of your class. For $200 a month I don't expect the hassle and have decided to cancel my membership after the manager argued with me about it for 10 minutes.

Great energy and great trainers are the things that stand out about Basecamp. I have never worked out with a group or classes but this place is different than other gyms. You can workout at your pace and focus on what you feel is most important and will get help on whatever you decide. Great all around gym.
