Working out with Roland at Bay Bridge has been awesome. I first started going before a scheduled surgery to build strength, and I was amazed at how fit and strong I felt after just a few months. My sessions with Roland helped my surgery go very smoothly, and now I am loyal to this gem of a neighborhood gym!! All bodies and people will feel welcomed here.

This place is amazing! If you are looking for personal attention at a gym with group classes, personal training and nutrition then this is the spot!
We joined because we wanted to try crossfit and it was in the neighborhood.
Both me and my girlfriends have been blown away!
The expertise and dynamic classes with lots of attention to correct form make this challenging, fun and enriching!

If you're thinking about joining this gym, do it. I joined 3 months ago after exercising at home/not exercising since 2020. I've had a great experience so far. Roland (owner of the gym and one of the coaches) is extremely knowledgeable and kind. His clear instruction will allow you to challenge yourself safely at whatever level of fitness you walk in the door with. Diverse crew of regulars. Unintimidating. Low ego. Kind. Great neighborhood gym.

PS- This gym offers group crossfit classes, personal training, and nutrition coaching. There is no open gym. Pricing is comparable to other similar gyms. (I couldn't quite tell what the deal was from the website before I joined.)

I joined Bay Bridge Fitness and Nutrition a little over a month ago and have had a great experience so far. Roland's intro sessions were extremely helpful and informative, and I felt like they set me up well for group classes as a crossfit newbit.

I've gone to classes with a couple different coaches, and they've all been friendly, knowledgeable, and offer great pointers to help you improve your form and performance. The community is also great -- everyone is encouraging and supportive, no matter what level you're at. It's great to be able to tap into that positive energy and push myself to do hard things!

I joined about a month ago and really enjoyed my time here. Gyms have always intimidated me, but at Bay Bridge Fitness I feel supported, encouraged and a lot of fun! Roland and all the coaches are patient and helpful. The space is very cool and well organized. Details like icebreakers at the beginning of each class really help the members to connect with one another and build a sense of community. Highly recommend!

I’ve been a member for two years. While I may not look a certain way, I’m definitely stronger than I was two years ago. Compared to my other fitness experiences, the gym has helped me to judge myself less and celebrate myself showing up. We have members of all fitness levels, and everyone is super encouraging to one another. Our coach approach is personalized and I think the diversity of our members make me stick around. Definitely recommend others to give this gym a try and surprise ourselves along our own wellness journey!

My husband and I really love Bay Bridge Fitness. We had done about a year of crossfit in southern california before the pandemic, and then struggled to find a gym that was the right fit for us to the East Bay. As soon as we had our first few classes at Bay Bridge, we knew we found our gym. The workouts are tough but with lots of guidance on how to scale so that you can customize it to what feels right, and lots of support and encouragement from the coaches and other members. Everyone has been really nice and supportive, and all the coaches give good instructions and are very attentive. Classes are small, so it feels like a mix of personal training with the motivation of a group workout class. Roland, the owner, really cares about his members and the gym and it shows. I highly recommend Bay Bridge Fitness for someone who is interested in trying crossfit or who is looking for a friendly environment for a good workout.

AWESOME GYM!! Me and my husband travel for work and we join CrossFit gyms wherever we are for the time being. We were a part of Roland's gym for 3 months and had the best experience. Roland has created a fun, motivating, and inclusive community at his gym. He's a great coach and tailors each workout according to everyone's individual needs. We were sad to leave and highly recommend this gym!!

I worked with Roland on Nutrition for about 6 months and couldn't have been happier with my experience. The program was doable, focused on my broad and specific goals, and was very positive overall. It helped me to create healthy food habits that I can do forever, bring my body fat % to a healthier range, and create/maintain a relationship with food that is not adversarial. I am super happy with the results, and this program is extremely unique! I'd really recommend it whether you're doing fitness + nutrition or just nutrition on its own.

Roland is a very detailed coach that makes sure no matter what skill level you are, you can do a challenging work out. He is always watching everyone to make sure they don't injure themselves and makes small adjustments to do certain movements better. He genuinely cares about everyone and it shows. I dropped in for 1 class and it was fantastic! I highly recommend either starting your cf journey here, or just dropping in if you’re in town. The coaching was great- very attentive, and there was a lot of warmup and stretching/lacrosse ball work before the wod and strength. The community was very warm and welcoming- I felt right at home, as if I was a regular at the gym. Thank you all!!
