This place truly has it all. With four pools, including an adults-only pool featuring underwater speakers that play music as you swim, it offers a unique and enjoyable experience. The on-site café provides a nice selection of food and drinks, and the gym itself is equipped with an impressive variety of machines and workout spaces. There are plenty of exercise classes to choose from, and convenient child care services are available as well. The entire facility, from the lockers to the workout areas, is consistently clean and well maintained. If you’re searching for a new gym, this one is absolutely worth checking out.

Disappointed supposed to be an Elite club, need to improve.
1) Men's restroom stalls were dusty, floor not kept up, urinals were filthy, sinks dirty and lack of a clean smelling environment. Alot of equipment was outdated, need to update. Employees were very friendly. When Parking Do Not leave ANY valuables. Positive alot to do, very large and so many options.

I felt completely scammed from this gym. I was paying around 40 for 24 hour before this and I thought I would be changing here for a more high end experience at $200 a month.
The machines are left broken for months, the showers are dirty and water runs cold. The hours are completely ridiculous for the price tag, 7pm on the weekend?? The classes were disappointing I never felt challenged or motivated compared to other fitness classes that I have taken.
I was also completely misled during the registration process, I was told that I could pause my membership at any time with no hassle because I needed to pause over the summer to leave the country. I went to pause it and was told there is a 30 day hold before pausing and then to also pay the month following the 30 days. So I just ended up paying for all of the summer instead of having a pause and decided to finally just cancel this gym.

Beware. Bay Club’s members, or visitors, or the employees are thieves.

We’ve been at the bay club for 6 months and we’re very pleased with our experience. The kids team has been so caring and kind to our children and has helped them feel comfortable and excited to come to the club. Ana is a great kids manager and has been especially welcoming to our family. We love that there is a variety of things to enjoy at the club so we can enjoy both relaxation and strength building while our kids make friends and play. This membership is a splurge for us but has been well worth the price in many ways!

Outstanding club that allows you to do different things every time. Hard to meet new people as everyone is doing their own thing. Wish spin class instructors would learn to turn down music volume. Impossible to hear instructors as the music blocks 90% of what they try to say. Other than that excellent clean and great value for money.

Pleasanton Bay Club has really lost its standards. It’s difficult to get into group classes — you have to book far in advance and the sessions are always jam-packed. Parking is another hassle that takes up half the time. We also put our kids in the Sonic badminton program offered through Bay Club, and it was the worst experience. The coaches showed a lack of discipline, professionalism, and communication. Overall, our experience with Bay Club and its programs was very disappointing, and we would not recommend it.

I recently enrolled to this gym & everything has been great up until now. I came here specifically to play pickle ball & when I went to the court there was no one playing and no pickle balls left to play with. I went all the way to the front desk & the guy told me that u have to bring ur own pickle ball because people stole them. Then I asked for a tennis racket & he said no u need to pay extra for that. I’m already paying $400 a month & you don’t have a single cheap little pickle ball to play with?! This is outrageous & very disappointing. We didn’t get to play pickle ball & just left .

It was ok, the pools were very nice and clean. Most of the employees were nice, It was just this one employee sounded like he was making rules as he go, only saying little passive-aggressive comments to my family. it was very uncomfortable. We was only there to have fun. and from the time we came through the door you can tell by the look on his face that he was uncomfortable by our presents, and he was going to keep coming over to us, because w.e were the only African-American family in the whole place that day. I recently had my 1-on-1 assessment with Melinda Wiley, and it completely met my expectations. It was a great opportunity to understand how to properly use the equipment and feel more confident in the gym. I've also been taking Melinda’s Cycle and Pilates classes for years—she is by far one of the most seasoned and professional instructors out there. Her classes are always well-structured, motivating, and challenging in the best way. Highly recommend her to anyone looking to elevate their fitness journey!

Unfortunately this place is circling the drain. They keep raising prices while the condition of the club deteriorates. The mens locker room looks like a 3rd world country, especially on weekends; urine all over the floors of the toilet area, toilet paper and hair as well - and smells badly. So many people using their phones for conversations and lord knows what else despite the signage, its ridiculous. Part of this is that management never seems to walk thru the locker room, despite the fact they seem to have more managers than workers. And with all the mold and hair in the showers, it often looks like a breeding ground for the next pandemic. Customers occupy the exercise equipment while texting or talking on the phone; nobody that works there says anything- they leave it up to you, the customer. When workout equipment breaks it often takes MONTHS before it's operational again. And when management is informed, nothing seems to ever change. Just saying, for the price, the quality isn't there.

There are so many fun activities at bay club, and we signed our 7-year-old up for a coding class through siliconvalley4u last month. He had such a great time and really seemed to enjoy it! When I complained about one of the gym rooms having globs of human hair & being unsanitary, it was never addressed. Instead I was charged for multiple months following after I attempted to cancel. The bathroom floors also looked visibly dirty. Classes are very crowded & equipment isn’t cleaned in between classes. I have switched gyms & it is more sanitary with more responsive staff. I was told a manager would call me, but they never followed up.

In town for business and had the pleasure of working out at this huge location. I only utilized the weight room. This place has good variety of different equipment. However, there needs to be some maintenance done on some of the equipment. For example, the LifeStyle cable system needs to be lubricated. Found some of the grips are tearing apart, some carabiners don’t close fully. Other than that, this is a really nice place with friendly staff and clean facilities.

What does $200-300 a month get you? A 24hr fitness filled with people who can afford $200-300 a month and nothing more. Were you hoping to use the pool? Too bad, there’s a class. Did you need to use the bathroom? Too bad, they’re out of TP. Members don’t respect the space because management doesn’t respect the members.

Bay Club is no longer worth the premium. I would have given Bay Club 5 stars at the start of my time there, but over the last year the quality has gone down by a large margin, at least at the Pleasanton location. There were spots of dried blood on the ground in multiple places that were there for literally months that the staff did not seem to care about despite me letting them know. Often, simple things like gym towels, paper towels, and soap will be empty. One of the main attractions is pool access as part of the membership, but they rent it out to third party clubs during peak hours in the summer so you're not even getting what you pay a premium for. They have a day care, but don't seem to mind if little kids are constantly running around the weight lifting area - it's insanely dangerous for the kid and the person exercising. Despite all this drop in quality, Bay Club increased rates three times within ONE year.
I recently went to the Fitness 19 in Livermore and the weight room quality was equivalent to Bay Club in Pleasanton at around less than 20% of the price. You just don't have access to the pool or tennis courts.
Edit: They commented to this review in less than an hour, but ignored my emails in the last couple months of my membership. :(

I’ve been with Bay Club for a few years now and it was nice at first, but they have increased prices 4 times over the past 2 years. Every 6 months we get a price increase without any noticeable improvements and the price increases are quite a lot each time. It’s just not worth it anymore so I’m going to need to cancel my membership. I may update if the cancellation process is a pain.

Disappointed Parent
We joined Bay Club Pleasanton specifically for the childcare, a service that seemed essential considering the high cost of the basic membership. Our first experience was good. The daycare staff was welcoming and attentive towards our 9 month old. However, subsequent visits were a stark contrast.
Here's why we left Bay Club Pleasanton:
Inconsistent Care and Lack of Stimulation: Our baby who crawls and stands outgrew the swing awhile ago, yet he was placed in it on multiple occasions "because he got tired." We specifically requested floor time and feeding during a later visit, but neither happened. Even more concerning, we discovered our baby was left in a soiled diaper for the entire hour even after requesting for diaper change. This not only creates discomfort but hinders any potential for social interaction or a pleasant experience for our child. We were also told that parent requests like ours for floor time, diaper changes, and feeding could not be consistently followed due to shift changes. This seemed dismissive of our needs.
We emailed both Sara (who initially contacted us) and the managing director to request a meeting with the childcare manager. However, our emails were completely ignored. A simple acknowledgement requesting to know what the concern was would have been appreciated, especially considering the aggressive sales push we received from Sara with back-to-back emails and calls. This lack of communication after the initial positive interaction speaks volumes about Bay Club Pleasanton's commitment to customer service, particularly for families seeking childcare.
For the price tag, Bay Club Pleasanton boasts a "luxury" experience, but our experience fell far short. The lack of communication and inconsistent care were unacceptable. Restrooms are dirty and need a big upgrade. They seem to charge fees for every possible thing, despite the pricey memberships. As far as gym and other amenities goes, they are similar to any nice gyms in the city. If you're looking for reliable childcare alongside your workout, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere.

Is there a -1 star rating I can give! I do not write reviews usually but I had a really bad experience so that's making me write this.
Lot of issues with billing. Like someone else on reviews says the person who gets you the membership just vanishes (Hasan).
They say they have child care so mom's can workout while your kid will be taken care of. After 2min of my 2yr crying they keep calling me and sending him back. Then for the rest of the day I will not be able to use the gym. We thought of cancelling our membership for few months giving my son some time and get back to this later. The whole billing process is a mess. I had to give away $674 just like that for lack of communication, poor timely response and customer service.

I have been a member of this place before it was acquired by Bay Club and after the Bayclub transition experience is sub par, the service is not what they charge for and they keep increasing membership fees every 6 months.
In the last 12 months they have increased the fees by $45 without any significant improvements to the facility.
More importantly, they are not transparent about their price increase. They send out an annual update, or an update with their achievements and sneak in the price change in a single line without any explaination. (image attached)

Let me preface this by saying that my constructive feedback/complaints wouldn't exist if this wasn't a luxury gym. Bay Club certainly has more amenities and cleaner facilities than other local fitness gyms. With that said, Bay Club Pleasanton needs to step up their game. Firstly, they've raised my monthly dues TWICE over the last 6 months with no disclaimer or warning. I have no idea what these rate increases are going towards. The locker rooms are hardly ever usable because people lock their items in lockers and leave for the day, leaving very few lockers to use for us folks who are actually there. I was told a cold plunge was going in, never to be seen. And they rearrange the layout of the weight rooms every few months or so, making it difficult to find equipment where it last was. Ice machines are never working and the flavored water dispensers never actually have flavored water. Showers are sometimes hot water only and sometimes cold water only. Steam room only works sometimes. I submitted a ticket to speak with someone from corporate regarding the increase in dues and never received a call. It just seems impossible to speak with someone about complaints. I love this gym, but ever since Bay Club took over it has been completely downhill.

A Refreshing Escape at Bay Club Pleasanton - A Step Above Bay Club Fremont!
Having been a member of Bay Club Fremont and recently experiencing the temporary closure of showers due to renovations, I had the opportunity to visit Bay Club Pleasanton, and I must say, it exceeded my expectations in every way. In fact, the showers, sauna, and changing rooms at Bay Club Pleasanton proved to be even more impressive than those at Bay Club Fremont.
First and foremost, the showers at Bay Club Pleasanton were a delightful surprise. The renovated facilities showcased a sleek and modern design, providing a clean and refreshing atmosphere. The water pressure was fantastic, and the temperature controls were precise, ensuring a comfortable and invigorating shower experience. It was a true pleasure to have access to such well-maintained and luxurious shower amenities.
Furthermore, the sauna at Bay Club Pleasanton was an absolute oasis of relaxation. The inviting warmth and soothing ambiance created the perfect environment for unwinding and rejuvenating after a workout or swim. The clean and well-maintained sauna added an extra touch of comfort and tranquility to my visit. It's a fantastic feature that sets Bay Club Pleasanton apart from its counterpart in Fremont.
The changing rooms at Bay Club Pleasanton were also noticeably superior. They were spacious, well-lit, and thoughtfully designed. The lockers provided ample storage space for personal belongings, ensuring a clutter-free and organized environment. The attention to detail and cleanliness in the changing rooms further enhanced the overall experience at Bay Club Pleasanton.
In addition to the outstanding shower, sauna, and changing room facilities, Bay Club Pleasanton maintained the high standards of service and amenities found in its sister club in Fremont. The staff members were friendly, accommodating, and always ready to assist with any inquiries or requests. The overall atmosphere of the club was welcoming and conducive to a positive fitness and wellness experience.
While Bay Club Fremont is undergoing renovations, having access to Bay Club Pleasanton was an unexpected privilege. The superior quality of the showers, sauna, and changing rooms at Bay Club Pleasanton truly impressed me and made my visits even more enjoyable. It's a testament to the club's commitment to providing exceptional amenities and ensuring the utmost comfort for its members.
In conclusion, Bay Club Pleasanton stands out as a top-notch fitness and wellness destination, surpassing even the standards set by Bay Club Fremont. The showers, sauna, and changing rooms at Bay Club Pleasanton are truly exceptional, offering a luxurious and rejuvenating experience. If you have the opportunity to visit this club, I highly recommend taking advantage of its superb amenities and enjoying a refreshing escape from the everyday.

I had friends tell me they love Bay Club and I finally came around to checking it out. I was enjoying the nice gym, lounge and overall having a decent experience until I went into the shop. I was wearing a crop top and a worker named Alondra told me she was glad I was “confident enough” to have my stomach showing. I asked her why that was and she said “you have an odd body, beautiful.. but odd”. She also made a comment on my acne, asking if I had chicken pox from all my acne scars/current acne. Will not be returning, she was so unnecessary snarky and rude. Wish I could have had a different impression on Bay Club.

Bay club offers a beautiful gym and comfortable lounges, and if it weren’t for the rude worker, Alandra, that I had the unfortunate encounter of meeting, my review would be 5 stars. I went into the shop just to look around, and she immediately was very rude, not willing to answer any of my questions and giving me dirty stares as I walked around. I tried to ignore her, however she kept mumbling remarks under her breath. The final straw was when she muttered “terrorist” as I left. I’m a hijabi women and this blatant islamaphobia and racism I experienced is the sole reason I will never be returning to a bay club. It’s absolutely unacceptable and unfortunate that employees like Alandra are hired and represent this otherwise beautiful establishment. I would not recommend going to this club to anyone until they address this problem in their staff.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Bay Club Pleasanton, and I must say, it exceeded my expectations in many ways. This beautiful club, nestled in the heart of Pleasanton, offers an array of amenities that cater to diverse interests and needs. In particular, I was thoroughly impressed with the swimming facilities and the men's locker room.
The swimming pools at Bay Club Pleasanton are truly a standout feature. The club offers multiple pools, each immaculately maintained and designed to cater to different swimming preferences. Whether you're looking for a relaxing swim, training for a competition, or just enjoying a fun day with the family, these pools are sure to please. The water is always crystal clear and at the perfect temperature, ensuring a comfortable and refreshing experience.
However, I did notice that the Jacuzzi is on the smaller side. While it's still a delightful spot to unwind after a workout or swim, it might not be the ideal choice for large groups or peak hours. Nevertheless, the Jacuzzi's soothing jets and warm water do make up for its limited size.
The men's locker room at Bay Club Pleasanton is another standout feature that deserves recognition. Not only is it spacious and well-lit, but it also has a modern design that ensures a comfortable and efficient experience. The showers are clean, well-maintained, and provide ample privacy, making it a pleasure to refresh after a swim or workout. The locker room also offers plenty of storage space for personal belongings, further enhancing the overall experience.
Bay Club Pleasanton's beautiful and serene ambiance is another aspect that sets it apart from other fitness clubs. The club's design and layout create a welcoming atmosphere that encourages relaxation and enjoyment. With ample greenery and natural light, the club is truly a haven for those looking to escape the hustle and bustle of daily life.
In conclusion, I highly recommend Bay Club Pleasanton to anyone looking for a top-notch fitness club with excellent swimming facilities and exceptional amenities. While the Jacuzzi could be larger, the overall experience remains stellar, and the club's beautiful ambiance and outstanding locker room facilities make it a true gem in Pleasanton.

Signed up at the Bay Club Pleasant Hill and paid extra for the Northern California membership specifically so we could come to Pleasanton and play Pickleball. Drove 30 min today only to find out they had no equipment (every paddle they had was broken and no balls). And the courts aren’t even set up for Pickleball, even though we reserved it ahead of the time for Pickleball. Staff didn’t seem to care and just told us “sorry all our paddles are broken” and sent us home. Waste of time and money, especially when you pay such a premium for Bay Club.

Terrible experience playing indoor tennis. They moved a dance class next to the courts, and the music was overwhelming. Apparently management did not care enough to even ask them to lower the volume.

Bay Club has wonderful amenities for our family of four. Their on-site daycare service provides my wife and I time to exercise or work while our kids can have fun in the Kids' Zone. Plus, we can play basketball and swim after the daily three hour allotment of daycare ends--our oldest's favorite things.

Nice club with many many amenities. Usually friendly staff. Pools are great. However, people take advantage of their shared membership option and bring strangers who they find via social media. I see a lot of posts where people are looking for someone to join them and split the costs. Thus turning the place into another 24-hr fitness:( It’s getting crowded at the pools and hot tubs. Also, women locker and shower area is sooo outdated, shame for a kinda fancy gym like that. And the last, but not the least: please, please, please, bring back outside some equipment, like it used to be during Covid. Like a couple of treadmills and ellipticals. It was so nice to have this option to work out outside by the pool area.

Best gym I have ever belonged to. It is like being at a resort. They keep everything super clean and in place. Plus, the child care makes it very convenient to grab a workout. The food truck is an awesome addition for those late afternoon swims that take us to dinner time.

Bay Club in Pleasanton is a well maintained gym with virtually everything you need. The staff is friendly and supportive and you have well maintained machines as well. I have not found the need to wait around for weights either. It is certainly one of the better gyms in the East Bay and I would recommend it to anyone I know.

The club has good facilities! Management is terrible! Not so much the Pleasanton club but the organization.
Cancelled membership in November 2021, due to COVID access. It's March 2022 and I am still trying to get money back as they continued to bill. After months of dealing with them they wanted to charge a months memebership stating they did not receive notice until the 5th of November, so would charge for December. Not let it slide in good faith due to their struggles getting it right. In review they were notified by the first of 11/2021, but they missed that too!
Horrible customer service and business practices. They could use help with membership management and complaint resolution .

It is now 2021 and we are still active members. That is how we love it here. We met new friends including class instructors and staff. Bay Club is great for families and singles alike. A safe and fun place to workout, take a break, and even do some remote work….even a place to stay cool on very hot weather.
The pandemic has been tough on many businesses including health clubs. Management and staff did very well to keep it going. Things are slowly going back to normal, new normal. It is still somewhat on a skeleton crew but they are maintaining the facilities well. If there are any problems, you can report it and expect them to act quickly.
I am hoping that the bar opens soon so we can resume our weekly visit to the bar for some chicken wings, beers, and wine.
************
My family and I are new members at this facility. Prior to joining here, I am an active member at 24 Hour Fitness Pleasanton and San Ramon. Both 24 Hour Fitness facilities offer similar nice amenities most important for me is a lap pool. It is kept generally clean and the clientele and staff are also generally nice.
With that said, I cannot make a comparison with Club Sport Pleasanton. Yes, it is a bit pricey, but what CSP offers is beyond gym access. First of all, if you have kids, then CSP is a better place. They have activities centered towards children and a pool facility that is kid friendly. A Family membership provides you a three-hour time for kids to stay at the Kids' area. There are two separate areas for younger kids and for the bigger kids.
The place is huge but kept very clean! Even the men's locker room. The equipment seems to be good and I love the open spaces they have for stretching, etc. The wall climbing area inside is a cool feature. The pools, tennis courts, (lots of it), and basketball courts are nice features as well. Did I mention that the pool is kept at a nice temperature all year round?
On top of the sports equipment, they have bar areas to relax or even do some work. Yesterday (July 13th) my wife mentioned that while she was there with our kids, she saw a DJ setting up outdoor and she found out that they have dancing later that evening. So, really, CSP is not just a gym , it is a health and entertainment facility. It offers a lifestyle not just a place where you go in and out.
I have not been there a lot yet, so I cannot comment about the staff. So far, I have not experienced any rude ones as some commented here. All in all, we love this place and will continue to come here. The price is actually just right for what they offer and for how well they maintain the areas.
Tennis lessons, swimming lessons, and other classes comes with additional fees but really, the price is not much different and perhaps may be better even when you try to sign-up at lessons offered by the Community parks and recreation centers around.
At this point, I highly recommend to at least give this place a try. You will not regret it.

I love this club, however my friends and I have problems with them. First, the price is already so high, but now post COVID, they HAVEN'T lowered the cost, but they HAVE reduced the hours the club is open. How does that make sense? So we have to pay the same amount for less access. My son also just started school and likes to work out before school. However, opening at 6am doesn't leave much time to work out and shower before school. But, the closing time is absolutely absurd. Most gyms far less expensive are even open 24 hours. Bay Club never closed this early. So, if you're going to be open for limited hours, then reduce our membership costs.
