People bring dogs to the gym. Management refuses to put an end to it. It’s unacceptable and inappropriate to have animals in the area where people lift weights.

I have tried calling to get information, they do not answer. I don’t know how this can be so expensive but yet you can’t reach anyone on the phone.
Thank you for your response insinuating I did not call during business hours. Is 10 AM on a Friday not during business hours?
I also tried at 10:30am

I just called again on Tuesday at 9:31am
And still no answer
It sucks because I really wanted to join
But with three unanswered calls and no call back, I’ll pass.

This place is fantastic, I love working out, playing basketball, and swimming here. The only reason I'm going with four stars is because they could potentially have more space allocated to using the weights upstairs but otherwise, super great.

This place is filthy! I've been a member for 20 years and after it changed hands to Bay Club it went down hill, but after covid it refused to hire and train enough employees to keep it clean.
I have complained many times and they don't acknowledge me anymore. I refuse to use the steam room, hot tubs, pool or showers because of what I've seen. For what we pay monthly as members I expect a clean facility.

The Bay Club is literally the only reason I stay at this hotel. It’s fantastic. The gym is a regular upscale gym with all the machines, classes, locker rooms, sauna, etc. There’s a spa with a chiropractor and massage gurus. They’re legit good too. I’ve gotten lots of massage and this place is amazing. Ask for Mimi.

By far the best massage therapist I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. Mimi is so knowledgeable in massage and all parts of the body and has been able to take care of knots in my back that no one else has ever been able to. I have been using only Mimi for about 1 1/2 years and highly recommend her.

I like the club but they jack up the fees every chance they get. Increase annually, charge extra for kids who only attend Kids World, initiation fees for adding new kids, etc.

And this all while the pool is packed on the weekend with Marriott guests

I have been a member of this club for several years. I really enjoyed the renovation they have made recently. However, I am giving it only 3 stars for two reasons.

Firstly, business hours. It closes at 9:30 PM on weekdays, and it is very early for a working person. I remember before the pandemic, it was open until 11 PM. Most clubs of the same price level in Walnut Creek are open until 11 PM. I am very disappointed that Bay Club didn't return to the pre-pandemic operating hours.
Secondly, it looks like during renovation, the spa zone was neglected. Saunas and whirlpool weren't updated at all , same as showers. Even the vents weren't cleaned in a spa room . Above the whirlpool, you can see a tons of dust on the vent. I think that that kind of wet zones should be kept super clean to prevent the spread of infections.

I had a tour scheduled at 6:30 PM and arrived early at 6:18. The front desk informed me the person in charge was currently giving another tour and I’d be helped shortly. I waited patiently until 6:55, only to see her finally show up—and instead of acknowledging me, she took another person for a tour. The front desk then told me she would give me a tour after theirs—seriously?

This is incredibly disrespectful and unprofessional. I canceled an important commitment to be there on time, and not only was my time wasted, but I didn’t even receive an apology or explanation. No communication. No regard for people’s time. Extremely disappointing and frankly unacceptable for a place that markets itself as a premium club.

I've been a member of the Bay Club Walnut Creek for 5 years. I give it 5 stars.

The manager, Joey, is all about the customer experience. He guided Bay Club Walnut Creek through an extensive remodel a few years ago, resulting in some amazing upgrades. I am a swimmer, but I also take a lot of classes. There is a comprehensive list of classes daily. The club is always clean and tidy, and the staff is exceptionally friendly, courteous, and always willing to help. They offer free coffee in the morning for several hours. They have pickleball, basketball, an upstairs and a downstairs gym, and extensive pilates equipment. The multiple massage chairs are heavenly. They have childcare. They have a restaurant and bar that always seem to be hopping and lively, where folks can mingle and socialize. The food is outstanding. Lastly, the parking is a breeze. Rarely have I had an issue finding a place to park. Also, a good spot for catching up on work/business.

For me, the Bay Club is the best deal in town. Check it out. And a big shout-out to General Manager Joey. The hardest working dude in town and always has a smile on his face. A well-run organization starts with excellent leadership.

This is the best health and fitness club in the east bay. The amenities are endless. The staff remembers my name at the recovery center. The group classes are calming or challenging, whichever you prefer. You get what you pay for. Lots of perks and I feel safe here as a woman. I also appreciate that they don’t bring political or religious ideologies into the gym that everyone else has to accept. We all have our journey to walk and a gym should be a place of peace where we can all work on our health together and forget the outside world. Thank you for providing this atmosphere for us. I could not find it elsewhere. Really I couldn’t be happier at Bay Club. It’s worth the money.

If you have kids — AVOID, AVOID, AVOID.

We signed up for the Bay Club at $600/month for our family, thinking the daycare would be a huge benefit while we worked out. That was the only reason we were willing to pay that kind of money.

But every single time we go to the Walnut Creek location — their so-called flagship — we get interrupted mid-workout and asked to come get our kids. Every. Single. Time. It completely ruins the experience. Meanwhile, at the Pleasanton and San Francisco locations, we’ve never had an issue. They actually watch the kids there without constantly calling parents in for no reason.

We’ve been to other gyms with daycares and never had a problem like this. It’s clear that this specific location is not equipped to handle kids — and frankly, it shouldn't advertise that as a perk if they can’t follow through.

If you’re joining for the childcare, save yourself the frustration and look elsewhere. Not worth the money, not worth the stress.

I visit the Bay Club as a guest occasionally to play volleyball here. The official schedule states volleyball is from 8-10am on Fridays. 8am comes & goes, and the gym staff hasn't even started setting up the volleyball net.

I talked to other players/members at the Bay Club, and apparently this is a perennial problem: the staff never bothers to setup for volleyball until a member asks them to do so. Even though the *Official* gym schedule says vball should start at 8am.

Today after asking the gym staff repeatedly, the net was finally setup around 8:20am. It probably would have never been setup if we hadn't asked :/

The childcare has introduced new rules where babies aren’t even allowed to bring bottles of milk with them! And all the children are crying, wanting to eat! Why such strict rules for kids?!
How can I leave my baby and go work out now, when my mother’s heart is breaking? Two hours is a long time for such little kids! I ask you to return to the old rules! How can I leave my baby and go work out now, when my mother’s heart is breaking?

My family and I were at the Renaissance Hotel in Walnut Creek for Christmas. The hotel guests can use the Bay Club gym, so I went up one morning to work out and brought my 9-year-old son with me. He wasn't going to exercise, just staying with me at all times and chatting while I worked out.

Checking in at the front desk was no problem, and nobody mentioned anything about my son not being allowed. But before I could start my workout, a staff member named Fernando came over. He was very rude and said, right in front of my son: "There's no way he is 12." He told us my son couldn't be in the gym and we had to leave.

I don't understand why he decided to be confrontational like that. He didn't even bother to say hello and introduce himself, and suggested that I lied about my son's age? He could have handled it much better. Plus, no one at the front desk said anything when we checked in. I asked Fernando where my son could go, and he said: "In the lobby, but can't be unattended." It seems weird that they let him into the gym but then say he can't be anywhere inside.

What's worse, the Bay Club doesn't seem to care about other rules. I saw lots of people going into the sauna with their clothes and shoes on! It was obvious they hadn't showered first, which is also against the rules. And people were using their cell phones in the locker room all the time, even though there are signs saying it's not allowed.

It feels like they pick and choose which rules to follow, and it made me feel unwelcome. It's also concerning that they don't seem to care about basic hygiene, like showering before using the sauna/steam room/whirlpool.

The Bay Club needs to teach their staff to be nice and treat everyone fairly. They also need to make sure people follow the rules so everyone feels comfortable and safe. Until they do, I wouldn't recommend this gym to anyone.

Disappointed with Membership Fee Changes and Lack of Professionalism

My partner and I joined Bay Club Walnut Creek expecting excellent service, but our experience has been deeply disappointing. Just little over a month after signing up, the membership fees were increased with only a few days’ notice via email, right before January—the busiest time of the year.

As members, we are required to give a 30-day notice for cancellations or changes, so I expect the same level of professionalism and courtesy from Bay Club regarding fee adjustments. When we reached out to cancel our membership, we were met with unprofessional and dismissive service. We felt unheard and were unfairly forced to continue our membership for an additional month which we are not going to use.

This experience has not lived up to Bay Club’s promise of outstanding customer service, and I hope they improve how they communicate and treat their members in the future.

Absolutely the worst customer service I've ever experienced. After coming here for several years before it was Bay club with endless renovations and rate hike increases. Members are routinely disrespected, disregarded, and ignored. The staff here literally does not care and is happy to see you leave if you inconvenience them in anyway. Bad policies and terrible management. Shante or whatever her name is, was the absolute worst. Save yourself the frustration and find somewhere else to work out.

It’s a great all around club. My only complaint, being a racquetball player, is that they don’t have enough courts. After 3pm there’s a lot of waiting for a court since they only have two. I’m hoping they add at least one more.

Update 11/2024: they have since shut down all racquetball and handball courts and converted them to exercise space. By doing that, they displaced probably around 70 customers who are mostly now at InShape in Concord, one of the last places to play racquetball in the area. I lowered their rating from five stars to two as a result since I’m rating them as a racquetball player. They’re fine as a workout club but have limited options.

Bay Club does not give fair and equitable time for court usage.with their 3 courts. In fact they give preferential treatment to their basketball players. Basketball has 78.5 total hours of court time a week, Volleyball has 13 hours a week and Pickleball has 19 hours a week. Included in our 19 hours a week are clinics that you need to pay extra $$$ for, 1 hour private lessons with NON Members and a Pro from Moraga County Club that take 1 of our 3 courts on a Friday afternoon (the busiest PB day of the week) Today there were 12 people waiting for 2 courts because of the private lesson, also. Children. with no age limit can play PB, as long as accompanied by an adult, just during PB (despite the rest of the gym, basketball and volleyball being 12 or 13 and over) also a Futsal tournament last weekend. So our PB hours get greatly reduced by all of these extras. Despite several requests through email to the managers to come to some sort of a more fair arrangement, have been ignored. We were told that the basketball players will always have most of the time because they have been playing here for a long time and they told us if we want to play more PB then we should join Crow Canyon (pay more) and drive to San Ramon. Wait, WHAT? The last time I checked, my dollar was the same color as the basketball players yet they dominate with 71% of the court time.
Bay club obviously does not have a DEI program!
How is this fair and equitable?
IT’S NOT!
I will add a filthy jacuzzi despite 3 days in a row of reporting it.
Never any towels in locker room. I have taken all my clothes off several times to find no towels for me to shower with and a sign that says to go to the front desk to get towels. Huh? I’m naked.
Disgusting hair in drains all the time and staff just does their walk through ms and managers never does anything about it.
Just getting so fed up with paying so much money for this gym and getting a crappy customer experience.
Consider joining another gym!

I re-activated my membership in May 2024 after 10 years since my wife encouraged me to do join with her. I had fond memories of club sport (as it was known at the time) being a relatively nice gym and so I was happy to join.

I was disappointed to see the locker rooms still looked like they did 10 years ago, except now it was worn out and the smell of feet fills the air. What’s worse is they had signs up stating that they were “renovating” the locker rooms. I have yet to notice what they changed exactly.

Most of the staff seem like they’re still in grade school and unfortunately their conceited and generally unfriendly and standoffish attitude is a huge disappointment. Just reeks of entitlement.

Positives, and perhaps the reasons why it is not a 1-star rating includes the parking garage, which is really decent and close by, and also the pool areas, which are spacious and besides the occasional kid swimming across your lane, is a great environment and place to work out and relax.

Membered here for the what we thought were great amenities and childcare but really it was a nightmare. Childcare was a horrible experience. Mixed my little one who could barely walk at the time with kids running around. He could have been stepped on. Drop off codes didn’t work for the first 2 weeks which was a hassle. Probably more ideal for older kids who are more independent.

As for the gym, I was charged a package for classes without my consent when I was only inquiring about the prices. Also didn’t let me know that I have to use it within the month or you lose it. Never got my refund for it after many back and forth with Joey and corporate.

This gym had so much potential but falls very short and.lacks value for what you pay. Pay the extra money and go get a membership @ life time. The towel service was horrible. The staff is lazy and does not engage you at all. The locker rooms and showers are extremely unkept and are in horrible shape. The cancelation policy is inconvenient and overly complicated and I feel like this is done on purpose. I will never consider this company for a gym home.

Been going here about a year now. Great job on the remodel. They increased the monthly payment, ok I guess. They made parking a chore, ok I guess. They rent the facilities out to child parties? Ok I guess? It’s Saturday night, I wanna let off steam on the basketball court, but there’s a 3hr birthday party reservation for the court lol.

I wonder how much more they bring in for renting that space. I just know what we pay to use the facilities. I’m ranting.

It’s funny when multiple people are standing around waiting to use the court and start realizing the toddlers have it for the night.

It is indeed a state-of-the-art club; but every time there's a renovation/remodeling, big or small, the membership fees go up!!. Also, sometimes, it is too crowded, especially in the summertime with kids around, often I feel like I am in a daycare center; there are kids all over running from women's lockers to the swimming pools; sometimes members are disrespectful to each other if you bring their attention to what their kids do. Another problem is that the club is adjacent to a hotel, whose guests are not aware of the rules and regulations, and it is hard to closely supervise the hot tub and recreation area. For instance, youngsters are in the hot tub, and/or adults talk nonstop, or enter the steam room fully dressed. It is hard to relax, indeed. There are rules and regulations, but not enforced closely; the club needs to pay close attention to quality not only quantity.
Note, I have brought up my concerns with the Bay Club employees from time to time.

The management of this gym should be immediately dismissed. It's clear they have failed miserably in providing even the most basic standards of service and upkeep. Despite charging exorbitant membership fees, the experience here is consistently disappointing and frustrating.

Let's start with the recent changes, like their new parking policy that limits parking to 3 hours and requires payment afterward. It's absurd to expect members to rush through their workouts or face additional charges just because they want to spend more time improving their health. Management should at least consider extending the free parking hours for members to 5 hours.

Finding a towel at this gym is like searching for a needle in a haystack. There are NONE readily available in the locker rooms, forcing members to approach the front desk every time they need one. It's absurd!!

The equipment is a disaster waiting to happen—machines are frequently out of order or malfunctioning, posing serious safety risks to users.

Adding insult to injury, the showers are a disaster. Several showers are consistently closed due to drainage problems. Women are left to balance their hygiene products on filthy floors and shower doors because there are no shelves in the shower cabins. It would be a minimal expense for the gym to install shelves, yet they have neglected this basic necessity. It's clear that management prioritizes cutting costs over ensuring a sanitary and comfortable environment for its paying members.

In comparison to other Bay club gyms this facility falls embarrassingly short.
The management of this gym should be deeply ashamed of the subpar experience they provide to their members. It's unacceptable to charge premium rates while neglecting basic amenities and maintenance. I strongly advise potential members to look elsewhere for a gym that values their investment and prioritizes member satisfaction.

Frequently out of towels, old facility, mold in women’s bathroom on tile, “renovation” involves just changing out bathroom stall doors, have to pay for parking after 3 hours, dirty, poor hygiene/sanitary practices at club. Inexcusable for the membership fees we pay. Join a different gym.

CONSTANT remodel! I have never paid a membership where they are realtime remodeling WHILE increasing the dues before it’s even done. Every day something new is being torn apart and blocked off for remodel and my dues have increased 25% since I became a member 2 years ago.

The business model is embarrassing and self serving. Parking is charged after 3 hours of use without validation for members.

Lifetime WC is starting to look like a better option. At least you are getting what you pay for.

FYI - for the person replying to all of these reviews - please don’t bother me with “thank you for your feedback” “sorry to hear you are unsatisfied”. These complaints fall on def ears with BayClub. This is a warning to all potential members. CHOSE LIFETIME WC.

I recently visited Bay Club Walnut Creek, and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. The service was lackluster, to say the least. The staff seemed indifferent and unhelpful, with a general lack of enthusiasm or courtesy. There was no effort to make members feel welcome or valued, which was quite disappointing for a club of this supposed caliber.

Moreover, the cleanliness of the club was appalling. The facilities were poorly maintained, with dirty floors and unclean equipment. The locker rooms were particularly unpleasant, with overflowing trash bins and unsanitary conditions. It's clear that proper hygiene and maintenance are not priorities at this club.

Overall, the combination of subpar service and inadequate cleaning standards made my visit very unpleasant. I expected much better from Bay Club Walnut Creek and will not be returning. I would not recommend this club to anyone seeking a quality gym experience.

DON'T GET membership here in Walnut Creek!
We are paying high membership fees but cannot even get a towel in the dressing room!! You have to go to the front desk and beg for one! I just had a pregnant member wearing a swimsuit approached me in the locker room with a request to go to the front desk and bring her a towel, she was embarrassed to go there like that by herself !!! Chaos!
Needless to say their towels are cheap worn out rugs, Motel 6 has better towels. I belong to other Bay Clubs and Walnut Creek is the only one with such horrible cheap towels!

Weight machines are constantly malfunctioning , showers drains don't drain well, also filthy hair balls and stains on the floors and walls. Shower cabins have no shelfs to put your hygiene and skin products on. Go to Fremont! They have huge showers with nice shelves and thick fluffy towels unlimited.
Now new policy - club members are only allowed to use the club for 3 hours without incurring a parking fee!! We are feeling penalized for just being members here!! Other east Bay Area clubs do not charge for parking. Why can't they implement a scanner with the bar code for members to park with no fee, the same way we do to enter the club?

Sadly, the Bay Club organization is replete with flaws. Cardio machines are constantly in a state of disrepair, locker rooms feature overflowing waste cans and sink drains that intermittently don't drain, filthy cardio studios (hair balls and coffee stains on the floors), etc., and now a new policy that defies understanding. Rolling out on April 1st is a rule whereby club members are only allowed to use the club for 3 hours without incurring a parking penalty of up to $25.00 per day. The lack of respect for members and the attendant greed on display is epic. I would never recommend this supposedly elite club to anyone. Management is tone deaf to valid issues put forth by club members. Instead, platitudes are the order of the day. Write a critical review of the club and they will fall all over themselves thanking you for your feedback. All the while standing still and refusing to acknowledge club members' issues. I could go on and on. Chaos is in ample supply as is disrespect for members.

The Spa needs to improve. I have been there at least 3 times & every time I have had to get help to open my locker when I'm ready to leave. Once, the attendant had to go to the men's locker room because the facility only has one key for all lockers. Also, codes are given for locker room and AMENITIES AREA. When one goes to re-enter the locker area, the sign outside says EXECUTIVE MEMBERS. This is what the code is for. Why not just use the same name that is on the code card? I asked the attendant what the sign was on the door that I had the code for. She was very rude & walked out on me, saying, "Enjoy your massage," instead of answering. Maybe she can't read (I wouldn't be surprised.) Can't remember her name, but she was working with Raleigh at front desk when I came in.

Shared membership made exercises more affordable.

The deep tissue massage was awesome and it was nice to use the gym’s hot tub too! The waiting room was very relaxing with water and tea.
My only issue was the spa has only one shower with a very leaky head and the towels smelled musty. Next time I would use towels from the gym side if they smelled better, and test their showers.

Facility is okay. Most of the staff are really snobby and look down their nose at you. I've also noticed that older members like to complain about things just to be complaining. Effectively you could be minding your own business doing a workout and then be confronted for no apparent reason whatsoever other than someone likes to complain. It's a gym full of Karen's just looking for something wrong. I will never do membership there again.

Updated review look for the notes after the reply to this review:

I’m a member in this gym since 2013 when it was owned by Renaissance hotel. Since Bayclub bought this place it only got worse and worse. I’m not just a random guy who complains, i will upload pictures and you can judge yourself. They do not care about members. Gym is super dirty, either steam room is broken for 3 weeks or pool is closed. Towels on the floor (pictures) shower broken or shampoo containers are missing/broken. 70% of the containers are broken and you have to pump it yourself. They keep increasing the membership (I don’t mind to pay more as long as there is a good service) but they give you nothing back in return. They keep saying we’re remodeling. Remodeling is one thing and maintaining it is another…
If you are considering to join this gym, a friendly suggestion DO NOT JOIN. After this many years now i’m thinking to finally leave this gym and cancel my family plan along with 26 friends (family plan) i was the one who brought them here now, everyone will leave with me, cause they hated too.

AFTER THEIR REPLY TO MY REVIEW WHAT HAPPENED:

They mentioned they have a plan to fix the issues as you can see in their response to my review but i’m telling you what they meant by fixing:
They decided to remove the service now they don’t provide the towels in the locker room you have to go beg for it in the front desk moving forward. Instead of hiring more staff they decided to remove the service and delete the questions. Refer to the pictures below!!!

Again Steam room is out for another two weeks. Refer to the picture!!!

Also the BRAND NEW MACHINES as they refer to an upgrade is out of service every once a while. Picture below!

We need this gym to take care of the members instead of only focusing on how to charge the members more but cut down the service so they generate more profit.

Cancelled because the following:
micro managing towels you have to ask for them at the front desk. They used to be folded in the locker room on a rack.
Now towels are being stolen if you leave them hanging outside your shower while you shower or if left on a bench while you’re in the sauna/steam room. Is this what you want to pay $180+ a month for?

The gym is overly crowded now at almost all
times. This began and has progressed since the 6 person membership. This has made the club very accessible-way too many people than the gym could cater to equipment and space wise (not to mention we share all amenities with the hotel guests staying).

They're way to eager to cancel
You they don't even ask why or nothing so why even stay? Maybe they know they’re pushing it and want to see how far they could go bc the stinginess with towels is crazy.

The club is shared w random hotel goers that do not care about a "community" they’re not
Following any gym etiquette.

They raise rates every 6 months and it's wild because the gyms not even fully available and a jacuzzi or pool or something is always out of order

The sauna has had a red stains on walls for months and no one cleans
It.

Pictures are awesome but no phones are allowed in the areas there is always out of order so join and see for yourself!

Bay club formally known as club sport is my gym and I go as many times a week as possible. This is one of the best gyms in Walnut Creek. If not the best and they’re going to go through a complete remodel so we’re excited to see what that’s going to bring all new machines and turf all kinds of nice new equipment the polls beautiful it’s in a Marriott hotel so you have a restaurant you have a spa and you have a small store alongside the hotel. I would recommend this gym if anyone would want to ask me any questions let me know.

I hesitated to write this a few months ago thinking MAYBE my experience with the director was her just having an off day, but apparently not given others' comments. Because they don't answer phone calls anymore, you're pushed to email through the app with any and all questions or concerns. I had a question about my membership, and I wanted to voice concerns about behaviors in the sauna area, which is supposed to be a quiet area, by women who didn't show basic respect to others (ie: have loud conversations, talk on their cell phone, even cutting toenails and brushing off dry skin on the chez lounge by. the hot tub). I received the automated notice that someone would get back in 48 hours following my emails, but then two weeks went by and nothing. So I went into the office and waited until I could get five minutes with the director. I explained the situation and that it was frustrating that I hadn't yet received a reply. She said, "The person who answers the emails has been out sick." I said someone else should have answered then, or at the very least let us know that our messages would be answered when she returned. Her reply was, "With Covid, you really need to be more patient." I'm so tired of service industries blaming any poor service on Covid still!

At $200/month membership fee I didn't feel my expectations were at all out of line! Regardless of my monthly fee, members should be shown common courtesy. Send out another automated email apologizing for the delay if you're under-staffed.

She answered my membership question and then told me I should raise my other issues about the sauna area with the owner. She's the director - I don't want to chase down the owner with my suggestion that they replace their long list of rules that no one reads with a simple sign that clearly states the sauna is a no-talk and no-phone area. I do enjoy the exercise areas and classes, but there's definitely room for improvement in service! Not sure how much longer I'll stay a member.

There are a lot of things that have changed for the worse here over the years. This used to be a very nice club, with plenty of equipment and friendly staff. Now, it's overly crowded, the staff is unfriendly and terminating our membership has been a bad experience. You can't cancel directly online and you can't call anyone. You have to submit a form and then learn that their definition of a "month" notice is if you let them know in October (we gave notice on 10/10) then the "month" notice is November, and thus we're not out of our contract until Nov. 30. Meaning that we're paying $417 after we decided we wanted to leave. This is the most ridiculous way to count time. For a $4000/month apartment, 30 days notice is standard, yet you can't get out of a gym membership in 30 days? When I tried to discuss with Linda, the member services person, she told me three separate, specific dates and times that she would call me and never did.
This makes me curious if the problem isn't with Linda but with the policy, procedures and staffing. Glad to be leaving.

I want to love this club. Went there for years. Unlike some of the other reviews, I don't think it has cleanliness issues, and the equipment is pretty good. My problem is how crowded it's getting. It's not a huge facility like Pleasanton, and they are really pushing that shared membership deal. If you're paying full price and feel a little ripped off, they suggest you get friends and family on the plan to split the cost...thereby exacerbating the crowding problem.

If regularly having to wait for equipment is a pain point for you; if peak afterwork hours are your only option; if you generally like a little space when you work out...I'd strongly recommend looking elsewhere. It's only going to get worse and , frankly, some of the nicer 24-hours give you a similar experience for lower rates.

If you don't mind rubbing elbows OR are able to go outside peak hours; if you like the social element of having friends also join; and are looking for a (sort of) high end gym...this place could be a really good fit.

The gym is nice, but the app makes the experience terrible. There are so many glitches in the app and to the point where it won’t even let you sign in. How can you sign up for classes if you can’t sign into the app? You can’t. It’s so frustrating and it’s a shame that something that could be easily fixed is ruining the experience of being a member. PLEASE FIX THE APP ASAP.

I have been reaching out to this club for months to discuss cancellation and or a pause on my account. I have called and left several messages never a call back finally via email Linda responds weeks after I sent her a couple emails as I asked her to please call to discuss my options in witch she never called me but she did send me a email and agreed the my cancelation date would be dec 10th and today I just saw that they charged me again today Jan 20th !! I supported this club all thru Covid even when they were fully shut down as well personal training sessions for years and for the staff not to even be able to call me back is extremely poor customer service and just shows how they value their supporting customers. I go to the Chiropractic office inside this gym weekly. During the second shutdown around November, their front desk attendant was very rude in implementing the Covid mask mandate. Please teach your employees proper customer service skills and to not act in a way that they “Lord Over” people who come into the gym. Its despicable! You give your employees little power and they are drunk with it. I personally know I was not the only one who complained at the tactless and downright mean way this desk employee acted. I hope it has since been brought to the attention of the higher ups and should not happen again. It reflects poorly on your business. I WOULD NOT be a member of your gym if that is the way your employees treat customers, especially since your rates are astronomically more expensive than comparable other fitness centers in the area.

Bay club was great pre-pandemic. After the pandemic hit I have been flabbergasted at the lack of transparency on billing of membership fees. I have had to call several times to fix billing errors and getting in contact with the right people is hard. The same issues have been experienced by other friends so be careful and check your billing statements.

The Gym area is well more the expected with a few more machines for added leg routines that are not at my home gym (Redwood Shores location). The locker area, showers, hot tub with both steam room and sauna are very well maintained a d spacious along with super clean.

Only set back, I is that i wasn't aware about the parking situation. Was able to get thanks to another Club member and upon asking for a parking pass or such was told that sales had gone for the day. Didn't mention I'd need help again to get out. But other than that, if works out and able to get this pass, would love to make this my Sunday relax gym. Most definitely have to bring the family here too.
