I have been with Bayside Pilates since I was 4 months postpartum. I had never done Pilates of any kind before, and was determined to regain the use of my core after a long pregnancy and difficult labor. Faye welcomed me immediately to her lovely, clean and inviting studio, and within weeks I began to feel more like myself again. She pushed just the right amount-- not too easy, not too hard. I still continue with Nikki at mat class twice a week. I feel stronger and less achy than I have in years. I especially like the class format Bayside provides. It is a great value, a convenient time, and I often learn more from my fellow classmates than I would if I were practicing alone.

Bayside Pilates is awesome. Faye is incredibly knowledgeable about the body and also is incredibly warm and funny. My sessions with her are hard work, but they fly by. I have seen a huge change in my strength and flexibility... and my aches and pains are disappearing. Faye is a great teacher. I highly recommend Bayside Pilates!!!

Faye is a classical pilates instructor. She adheres to the original teachings of Joseph Pilates and teaches the purest form of the exercises, as they were originally taught. This allows any student of her's to thoroughly understand the purpose and benefit of each exercise. She provides variety while still helping the student to improve in areas that are difficult to conform. Pilates is a mind/body collection of exercises and an hour goes by very quickly because of being both mentally and physical engaged in the process. Faye emphasizes perfection of exercises and the greatest benefit to body shaping and flexibility. I have taken pilates from other instructors, only to find their interpretations are more about repetitive movement and stretching. Faye is truly committed to her students and her teaching is intense and without distraction. I highly recommend working with her for the greatest benefit of strength, posture and truly understanding what is meant by "core".

Bayside Pilates is the place to go if you want a personally oriented, expert trainer to help you achieve strength and fitness goals. Faye is warm and caring, and very enthusiastic about sharing her love of Pilates with her clients. I had never done Pilates before my sessions with Faye and I have to say it was absolutely amazing. I worked with her for 6 months, three times a week and the results were more than I could have hoped for. She has an easygoing sense about her but will also keep you motivated and working hard. If you've been wanting to do Pilates or are looking for a new instructor, look no further!

I know Faye to be a caring and supportive teacher. She works hard to clearly and patiently guide one through cleansing and strenuous workouts.
