I've had such a great experience here! The coaches are wonderful, and they really listen to what my goals are rather than pushing something on me. I'm seeing good progress, which was hard going into menopause. Overall, I highly recommend it. Great mix of strength and cardio, with lots of feedback on form.

I've waited many years for a fitness structure like BFT offers to come to San Marcos. How lucky we are they chose this location! It's everything wrapped up into one package. Heart rate monitor training, working out with a personal coach, strength, agility and mobility. But the most important is that I get to work out with my daughter! I've been going for over a year now and I love it. They have been able to adapt the fitness program to accommodate as needed over the time. I have not only seen myself and prove in endurance and strength, but also recognizing how this Fitness level allows me to do things outside of the gym that used to be a not so easy. I love the bft family and the community here. It's a wonderful place to stay motivated!

I’ve always been in and out of fitness until I found this BFT. Angela the head coach, all of the coaches she has hired (Morgan, Elida, Rosa thank you!), and Dillon the GM, create the most motivating and supportive environment and I’m in the best shape I’ve ever been in, all in just a matter of months. Incredible disappointed with how they handled my account. I was continuously charged the monthly dues despite cancelling and had to ask to be refunded for the months I did not use the gym. The staff on the other hand have been amazing and it was a great experience otherwise. Just really frustrating to struggle to be recompensed.

Really enjoyed the class today! I love not having to think of my own work out! Everyone was so friendly and very knowledgeable trainers/coaches! Loved the flow and structure of the session I attended. Super great experience, and would recommend to a friend! :)

I just attended a promotional class today and if my budget wasn’t so tight right now I’d love to sign up for a consistent membership and I would say it’s 100% worth checking out if you haven’t already!!! Im hopeful to join when I’m able to fit it into my budget better! :)

I have legitimately never loved a gym more in my life; so happy I found it. I have never felt so dedicated to working out and having a routine.

1. The location is newer so all of the equipment is clean and beautiful.
2. Unlike F45 or Orangetheory, BFT’s strength classes focus WAY more on getting your form right, building strength to life heavier, and spotting each other so that you have the ability to try for heavier weights. I have been to F45 classes and liked them, but there is just not enough time or focus to really go for heavier weights. That was the main reason I chose BFT, and why a huge reason why I love it so much.
3. In addition to the lifting-focused classes, BFT offers amazing cardio classes too. Always totally gassed afterwards. I love the variety and don’t think I’ll ever get bored.
4. I feel like every gym talks about it, but truly love the interactions with everyone and the little friendships I’ve made through my classes here :)
5. I love every coach! I seriously cannot say enough good things. They’re knowledgeable, do a good job of correcting form without making you feel stupid, and are just positive and helpful.

Joining BFT was the best decision I made for my fitness journey. I've tried F45, OrangeTheory, pilates classes, etc but this is by far the best! The technology-driven approach helped me track my progress effectively, while the variety of programs kept workouts exciting. BFT has fun group class training sessions that is structured in a way which seems to optimize the workouts per objective - cardio, strength, hybrid, endurance, etc. There is real-time heart rate monitoring that is displayed so I get an idea of my energy expenditure, and each session has target heart-rates. Because of that unique format, I find there really isn't any slacking on my workouts and I get a good gauge of my body's ability to push and recover. There are definitely days when I want to slack and I struggle with hitting target heart-rate zones. Usually that's a clue that my recovery could be better (lack of sleep, not enough quality nutrition, electrolytes, etc) or that I need to pace myself vs going all out on current set. BFT takes on the modern era of using technology and data as a metric approach to training. What I would like to see is more incorporating of that data to give their clientele more insight into body's adaptation to the training over time. More data analytics from the heart-rate monitoring and incorporate longer term stats and personal trends into their apps would be a great thing.

Oh, and lastly, the structure is such that, while you workout for your own goals and objectives, it really becomes a community with familiar faces. The motivation and inspiration that comes from seeing others getting at it, regardless of ability or level, naturally instills similar 100% effort and minimal slacking.

I can’t recommend BFT enough!
I originally went to another HIIT gym for years but felt myself becoming bored of repetitive workouts or not feeling challenged enough.
Since starting at BFT last month, I already feel stronger! I was worried that I wouldn’t be able to handle working out daily and would be so sore I can’t function, but I’ve been able to come to 4-6 classes a week with no hard burn out! They organize it so that people can come every single day. The workouts are tough but definitely doable and the interval layout makes the class FLY BY!
The app makes scheduling super easy. I love being able to quickly sign up for classes and see what type of workout we’re having that day. It also helps track your progress!
Plus, the staff here in San Marcos is amazing!! Everyone has been so kind since the first day I walked in. The coaching staff is top tier! So far we’ve had at least 2 coaches per class so you really have so much support and someone looking over you to make sure your form is correct. BFT has helped me get excited for the gym again!

I was looking for a gym that focused on strength in a group fitness format and I am so happy I found BFT! Before I tried strength training on my own at the gym and didn’t find it motivating then hired a personal trainer and it got too expensive. I started at this new gym roughly a month ago, absolutely love love the workouts ! Angela the head trainer ,well she’s just all around good energy always happy smiling ready to go every morning dancing , everyone at BFT is so kind friendly and positive encouraging each other. I can't say enough good things about this studio. It has a diverse mix of fitness levels so it's not too intimidating, while also giving an incredible workout to everyone. It's clean, has a friendly and motivating staff, and includes an awesome Evolve scan that tells you all about your body and where you can improve.

My wife and I joined before it opened, and I am so glad that we did. The YouTube videos on BFT do not do their program justice. Let me explain. Unlike other types of workout studios, you really can (if you choose) go six days per week without feeling too sore. Their program works different muscle groups and energy systems during each workout so that you can consistently improve your fitness, while also giving the other muscle groups time to recover. They also use the BFT3 heart rate monitor to really "dial-in" the workout without forcing your body into a state of exhaustion. For example, on strength days you will want to have a lower heart rate, but lift heavier weights to improve your physical strength. On mix days of strength-cardio, they keep you in specific personalized zones. Every workout so far feels like a human designed it with a purpose. It is as close to personal training that you can get without paying for personal training while having a group motivate you.

And that leads into the human-element. This studio is fantastic. It's always clean, the people and staff are incredibly friendly, and they all go above and beyond to make sure your workout is worth your time. For example, I was having lower back issues, and Head Coach Angie was able to give me modifications that allowed me to complete the workout without injury. It was great! Dylan is always so motivating, and the owners Mark and Sam are involved and very friendly. Oh, and their studio water filter makes the best cold water for a good workout drink.

Good people, good music (Bose sound system), and good community of diverse fitness levels. Make sure you check out their second parking lot so you don't get caught-up in the BetterBuzz traffic. Oh, and ask about their post-workout cold Eucalyptus towels.
