A True Old-School Gem!

Big Al's Gym is everything a real gym should be. It has that classic old-school lifting vibe that makes you want to throw some weight around and push yourself harder. The equipment is solid—plenty of free weights, squat racks, benches, and machines that actually work (and have probably helped build some serious strength over the years).

But what really surprised me was how good the cardio setup is too. Whether you’re hitting the treadmill, bike, or rower, everything’s in great condition and ready to go. It’s the perfect balance of grit and functionality.

The energy in the gym is focused and no-nonsense, but the people are cool and supportive. If you’re tired of the commercial gym fluff and just want a place where you can get strong, sweat hard, and feel good doing it—Big Al’s is the spot.

Al doesn't cool the gym enough during the summer. It can be 85 to 90° in there. Way too hot for working out. So that's why I quit going there.

BIG AL'S Athletic Club is a remarkable and incredibly affordable gym, sitting up the hill in Needles, California. They offer individual membership and family membership. The atmosphere is friendly and family like. (They played good music too lol) And with your membership, you get this really cool T-shirt, a gift from Don McCone, the Owner.

BIG AL'S is open 24 hours for the convenience of our Community, (we have a lot of railroaders) As for me personally and for my family with our crazy schedules, 24 hours a day really works for us. It has Equipment to meet all of your needs, a fenced off and padded area for exercise or boxing. On Monday night and Wednesday nights, they offer a free women's group class, if you ask Lindsey, I'm sure she'd let the men join in lol There are personal trainers are available (Not included in the price of the gym) Just asked someone about that.

I am really grateful that we have a gym in our town and really the only thing that's missing in this gym is BIG AL cheering you on saying "ONE MORE REP!" 🙏🏻
