Had my first session last week with Emily as the instructor. I’ve taken hot yoga twice before but at a different facility. Emily was an amazing instructor making it a comfortable environment and providing suggestions on how to alter movements depending on your skill level/flexibility. It was a wonderful experience and will be taking my next class tomorrow!

After booking a class on ClassPass, I reached here 15 mins before the class starts and there's noone here! They're not answering their phone, and when I peek inside the studio there's noone here! What a waste of time

Amazing studio. Cynthia and Jeff are awesome teachers. They're excellent at making sure you're practicing RIGHT! But they're also really welcoming for newcomers like me who have never practiced yoga before joining this studio.

Cynthia and Jeff have done a great job at building a community that encourages continual practice and wellness - highly recommend!

This studio is fully committed to traditional Bikram—same 26+2 every time, full 90 minutes, no shortcuts. It’s a serious workout, but it always leaves me feeling better.
Also, the community here is great. It’s a really diverse, down-to-earth group of people. No ego, no pressure. Highly recommend if you’re looking for an honest, no-BS Bikram practice.

This place made me sweat like crazy and I felt very loose and stretched out after. The instructor paid close attention to help me correct my form. As far as going back to hot yoga I don’t think it’s for me. I’m not sure if it’s actually good for someone with high blood pressure but I’m guessing it’s not. I will stick to my room temperature yoga because the hot yoga makes me want to escape.

I have been going to Bikram Yoga Milpitas for the past month and enjoyed my classes with Cynthia, Jeff and Scott. It is a traditional Bikram yoga class with heated room. Instructors are quote supportive of newcomers, very clean and nice studio. The heat takes some getting used to but is so so good for the body and skin.

I came 5:25 in the morning, and called, I asked “ are you guys open?” She said “ WE ARE CLOSED TODAY “ and I said” really?” She goes “ yes, we are close today “ that is terrible when you prepare doing hot yoga in the morning and find out the place closed! That is not acceptable. Very crazy! This is so not acceptable!
I just called you guys I speak the girl I talked to in the morning but she hangs up my phone when I asked her spell her name.

I took the one month intro class and after one class noticed this wasn’t for me. It was too fast pace for me, the place wasn’t too clean, and the instructor Cynthia talks soooo fast, without any punctuation marks lol… extremely hard to understand her! I wouldn’t recommend this place!

The studio is OK but the instructor (Cynthia) is HORRIBLE AND RACIST.

(Update: The "owner's" non-apology "We're sorry you didn't feel [included]" instead of saying they're just sorry to be racist is testament to how out of touch they are. They're just sorry for how I felt rather than their own racist acts. Also, turns out that the instructor is also the owner, so the response "We will talk to the instructor" shows the degree of dishonesty in this establishment. AVOID THIS PLACE at all costs.)

I really wanted to avoid escalating this until the racist behavior happened. I went there with my friend and it was our first time *in this studio*. Right off the bat, as we walked in, the instructor was uninterested in us, and kept insisting that Bikram yoga is HARD and we shouldn’t do it (I’ve done Bikram for over a year and also one of the first rules of yoga that I’m shocked this instructor doesn’t know about is: There’s no such thing as “hard yoga”. All yoga is for everyone, and you do it to your ability, it’s not a competition.) She also wanted to charge us for mat and towels until we had to remind that we’ve paid a whopping $40 each for a drop-in that included such things. Then she kept warning us that once we’re in class, we cannot leave no matter what (again I don’t know why she had to bring that up for no reason). This is such a dangerous thing to do and goes against all health and safety laws in California. Clearly she just wanted us to leave the studio for no apparent reason other than just the look of us.
Bikram is all scripted, and during class the instructor was COMPLETELY unintelligible. She was rambling the script in a way that even to an experienced Bikram practitioner like myself was hard to decipher. (other reviewers also note this.) She just mumbled words and phrases fast, the way someone who is on hard drugs would speak. She kept saying things in between that made little sense. She even slipped during class and fell, almost banged her head to the floor. Then she continued with the script while collapsed on the floor! To me, she appeared under influence.

After class, she asked me where I’m from. I said I’m an American citizen and her response was: you don’t look like an American, where are you ACTUALLY from? Again I said I’m an American and she started to ramble something about “FOREIGNERS” (again incoherent phrasing). I asked for her name and she said “I have no name.” When I noted that she’s being a racist, she said this yoga isn’t her job, that she’s an engineer and doesn’t care at all. Then with a sarcastic tone, she said “you’re a GREAT American!”
I’ll never step foot in this racist and unsafe space anymore. This instructor doesn't seem to have the physical or mental stability needed to teach a yoga class.

I have been going to this studio for many years. Just wanted to give a positive feedback about Melissa. During the last class, she spent a lot of time during the class helping me improve my posture. This was great, because I did not know I was doing it wrong. Small improvements and adjustments that helped me get most out of the pose while preventing injuries. More over, she brings a lot of passion to the class. Keep up the good work. Thank you.

I am a regular member of bikram yoga milpitas since couple of months now and my experience has been great so far. The staff is very helpful and there is a “one big family” vibe in the place. Cynthia is an amazing teacher. While she gives space and time to everyone to adapt and improve, she also helps in and outside class with suggestions crafted for the individual. I will highly recommend this studio for anyone who is looking to improve their lifestyle with yoga with great teachers and supporting staff.

With the COVID lock-down slowly winding down, I was on the lookout for an open hot yoga studio, as many of them unfortunately closed doors permanently.

So I registered online and had a pleasant call with Cynthia the owner. She wanted to make sure I was aware of this type of yoga, and made me familiar with the new COVID related changes in terms of distancing, etc.

The room has floor markings for mat positioning, so that we keep distance with our neighbors, and we can always see ourselves in the front mirror regardless of the spot we choose.

The room also has 3 walls of mirrors, front, left and right, useful when we turn 90° for triangle pose.

I also like the studio back wall has windows, something that was missing in the studio I was going to before COVID.

What I also find good is the floor is synthetic hard wood style, so easy to clean compared to carpet present in other hot yoga studios. There is no smell as a result, so also good for COVID.

All in all, I like the people there, (teachers and clients) friendly and spontaneous.

I am a Young mom with 2 kids and Excited to start my first 60 day challenge ever on Monday. Recently 5:30 am classes have begun this new timing supports professionals with young kids . Otherwise it was tough to maintain a consistent in the practice on the limited schedule this studio had . But the 5:30 class is perfect for both me and my husband. There are serious practitioners who come regularly and there is a lot of motivation for each other and great respect for each other. Two other women students with similar lifestyle as me recently committed to thus studio because of the 5:30 am schedule and we are motivating each other . Because it is 7 days a week 5:30 am we don’t have to worry about disturbing sleep pattern on weekends. I love this change and i am thankful for this effort. It’s great to have Mercy (one of the studio teacher) practice here every single morning 5:30 , it is a demonstration of practice what you preach . I’m telling more people to come here as many discontinued thus yoga because they had no option to come in the morning. For now I am satisfied and will give 5 stars after my 60 day challenge and see how it goes.

I am practicing in this studio since 6 months and 5:30 am is a 2 week old addition to the schedule at this studio. This a great class, where the instructions are through a recording played by the creator of Bikram Yoga. We have very disciplined and serious practitioners in the 5:30 am 7 days a week. So it’s a great atmosphere. We have Mers as a leader in the class, and it is great to see a teacher with such devotion. she is there every single 5:30 am since it started and practices what she preaches. It gives us a chance to have a healthy sleep cycle 7 days a week and practice every day inspire of a busy professional life. We can now recommend it to others. My wife joined this studio recently because of 5:30 am and she comes every day and loves it. if not for this 5:30 am 7 days a week she cannot come and may have to quit yoga due to our kids. For the summer it is perfect because we can finish our yoga in the morning and enjoy the entire weekend. me and my friends were looking for a new bikram studio to practice in the morning. but due to the 5:30 am class 7 days a week, we have decided to stay in this studio and bring more friends.

I am a regular practitioner in Bikram Yoga since 5-6 months now and i must say i am very much pleased. Although i was almost practicing 4-5 classes per week, i couldn't muster for more because of the timings in the weekends as i always believe in practicing in the same time all 7 days of the week. Then the 5.30 AM batch came to my rescue and this is the time and schedule i am looking for.

Morning practice and all 7 days of the week - Same time!!! It was such a blessing!! Thank you so much to everyone for making this possible and i feel morning practice is really important for many number of reasons. I don't have to worry about my eating schedule all day (We are not supposed to eat 3 hours before yoga remember?), Skipping classes are minimal and i am now inspired to take the 60 day challenge due to this even schedule, all the day i can concentrate on the other stuffs which matters the most.

I am getting married in few months and planning to get my wife also to practice Bikram yoga in the morning. There are some really great teachers and this is really helpful and have a great impact in my health cycle. Again my since thanks for everyone for helping.

Bikram Yoga is one of the best and cleanest yoga studios I have been to in the Bay Area. I have been going here for the past year and Cynthia has helped me improve my flexibility a lot compared to how I was when I first started. My body feels a lot more relaxed and I no longer feel as strained as I did before I started. One of the main reasons why I choose to specifically come here instead of other places is because of the cleanliness. The floors are never oily and the showers are on point. I have never been disappointed with the level of cleanliness here throughout the year that I have been here for. If you're looking for a clean, beginner-friendly yoga studio, you've come to the right place.

I like that this studio is closer to my house than all the rest. I was excited to get back into yoga at this new location. I needed it badly. I was disappointed to learn that the Owner is young and immature. The place is nice inside except it does NOT have showers. It hasn't been re-structured for yoga because you have to go out in the hall to use a cold, public restroom in tiny stalls to change. She made indirect personal attacks on me during the class because she asked people to tell her if she was talking too much, then my friend said during class, " you are talking too much", which makes it hard to meditate during the class. So she acted out because she didn't like hearing the very feedback she just asked for. I was looking for a safe welcoming place to get back into yoga after the long time away. I tried to use a Groupon twice (since the first try didn't go well) which was denied, so I offered to buy packages after the class...I got there very early but at this point the class was starting in 1 minute and I wanted to get into the hot room.
I'm not angry, that is just what happened.
I wish her the best moving forward, and am disappointed that this happened.
Maybe you will have better luck.
I'm glad to be "home" at Sagar Yoga in Santa Clara.
