The associates have been running the business with little direction and insufficient funds to maintain the maintenance. It should be no surprise it is closing. Locker-room/bathroom smells so bad that you almost throw up. I change in my car and absolutely refuse to go into the bathroom. Would rather go to the bathroom in my pants.

AC doesn't work, equipment isn't maintained, and the place is never cleaned. Any complaints get brushed off by the staff and I have tried emailing corporate, but get no response.

Sad to see this place in the state it is in as it would only take a little bit of care to make it a decent gym. I hope that they turn this place around soon or I will be looking to go to a different gym. Would not currently recommend to anyone to sign up here.

The stench alone should make you run for the hills! The bathrooms/locker rooms smell SO bad it will make you gag! No joke. I’ve been coming here on and off for almost a year. Each time I come in it only gets worse. No one EVER cleans this place. The bathrooms are horrible. So unbelievably gross. Also they don’t turn the A/C on. I just asked about it they said “we have told the building manager about it. But you know how that is.” I said “no, I don’t.” He said “yeah, it sucks.” I’m willing to bet money the A/C works just fine as soon as you turn it on. Also, less then half of the gym equipment works. And I do mean less than half. I would say roughly 10 or maybe 15% of the cardio equipment works. It doesn’t matter though. 5-10 minutes on the treadmill and you’re dying from the heat. Then you go back to the locker room just to gag at the stench. Don’t sign up here. SAVE YOURSELF AND RUN! Go to GB3.

If I can give negative star i would. Staff are so rude. Called today to ask if Childcare was open, have not even got to say hello the staff just said "we close at 11" then hung up. I called back to say it was rude to hang up on someone and didn't even apologize. Prior to this, I was attending this location and my son was never supervised at the childcare. My son was punched 3 times I notified the staff and didn't do anything. Last time I was there my son went home with a swollen eyes and the childcare attendant never pays attention to any kids.

One star for price point, very competitive! One star for free day care, no other gym has it. One star for locations!! These are reasons I continue membership. I enjoy the classes but didn’t give a point for them because every gym has them, and some of the instructors at Blast (Fresno) are terrible.

However, the equipment sucks. It’s old and falling apart. Always see broke down machines. It’s very dirty, never see anyone cleaning anything and I’ve heard several people getting abscess or infections on legs/hands, myself included. So I deduct a star for that!

Bring disinfectant wipes and sanitizer to use frequently and wash your hands, arms, etc with antibacterial soap after your workout (and your children in the day care). Gym clothes go straight into the wash and bodies go straight into the shower.

Ok...here we go a gym is a place where you go to workout and get your self out of whatever funk your in..when I go in there my goal is to go in there and destroy my body and make sure I leave every ounce of sweat in there..with that being said I seen a lot of bad reviews before I signed up and like always I said heyyyy sounds like a good time...and it has been...everything I need is in that gym thats a for sure...people complaining about ac issues...I wouldn't mind if they cranked up the heat...makes my workouts more intense but because of the residents who occupy the gym...meaning some of the older occupants I don't mind whatever it is they do...I would recommend having like a day where the gym stays at a high temp and I mean like 80 or so....I wouldn't mind anything no higher than 92 degrees...1 day a week to give those who are looking for that to enjoy it...a gym will be a gym...as long as we clean up and rack our weights whose to say it's not doing its job...they clean and after a workout we should clean our own machines...people your there to workout not be baby sat clean and rack your own weights..with all that being said people who work there are great...they greet me in and out of the gym...if I don't bother them they won't bother me...that's a gym...if I need help I'll ask they'll do what they can....what else do you need? WITH THAT BEING SAID MY ONLY COMPLAINT IS THIS....OWNER OF THE BUSINESS DO ME A FAVOR AND ADD SOME STUFF TO THE WALLS INTHE WEIGHT ROOM...AMERICAN FLAG CALIFORNIA STATE FLAG AND THE BRANCHES OF THE SERVICE WHO DEFEND THIS COUNTRY....what people fail to realize is its a honor to be able to complain or support a business because of those people...so all though it's not needed it's greatly appreciated if that could be done but not needed...it's pure motivation to some of us...Staff keep up the good work. And no I do not work for these people...just passionate about my gym time.

I like the set up, the weights and options, and the class schedule. My trainer is awesome and I have not gotten hassled or bothered while working out. The pool is small but perfect. The day care area is fine. I like the music and the general vibe of doing your own thing.
This is not a place full of pretty posing people. Much more about lots of body types and people working hard.

I have been going to this gym for over 10 years now and I love taking classes ( spinning specifically) with coach Tamara. She is a great motivator and fantastic at what she does. The facility doesn't have new equipments like many other places do however the people who work there make it very welcoming and they are helpful. It's one of the reasons why I am still here. Annie

I been coming here for a couple years, the environment and the staff are always friendly and positive greeting every single member that walks in and they know you by name they always communicate and build friendships with their members! The manager Ralph runs this place great no complaints. The instructors for the classes are very professional and go at your pace not to mention the trainers I've trained with Leo He's very patient and knowledgeable. I've tried every gym in fresno and nothing compares to Blast. They have the best prices in town, the gym is always clean and tidy, the machines work great, the trainers provide you with the knowledge to get results fast, i can go on and on about this place. Even the perks are great!, kick ass classes all through out the day, the babysitting is great the kids are always laughing and having a good time, the employees are so motivating and always have a smile! you'd be a fool to spend your money somewhere else.

This blast fitness is utter garbage. None of the machines work when needed and they even close when they feel like it. Today is Saturday and it states on the website that it is supposed to close at 8. However I go there and they closed one hour earlier. This is honestly ridiculous. Not to mention the customer service is complete trash. They do not make an effort to fix any problem; instead they just deflect it onto another person. Save your money from monthly charges and just buy gym equipment for your home or donate to them so they can fix theirs.

I had been a longstanding member from 2002 or 2003 when they were still Bally's. After they closed one of the locations and then closed the pools at every location, I wanted to cancel and go to another gym that could provide better services. I called to cancel, was told I had to go into the gym and talk to a manager. I spoke to 3 different gym locations and their customer service line. All of them told me to go into one of the gyms and talk to the manager. I went in at 930 in the morning on a weekday and was told I had to come back after 1030 cause ONLY the manager can give you this waiver. You have to sign to agree to their terms in order to get the waiver otherwise they will continue billing you. They basically strong arm you to sign their waiver cause they won't let you cancel without signing the waiver. Supposedly they want you to see the manager because they want the manager to try to save you. Really? By the time I was able to get to the manager I was so pissed off at all the hoops there was no WAY they could save my account. I will never ever do business with these people again.

Going downhill. The pool, wet sauna / jacuzzi, and the 1st & Herndon Location have all been closed now. The carpet is from the 1980s and is filthy! Maintenance is poor and the staff basically lies about why things aren't working (see other comment). There is no janitorial staff, the minimal cleaning is done by the regular sales staff who obviously resent doing it. Corners are cut everywhere including with not running the heating and cooling. Yeah, it's cheap, but I'm moving on once my prepaid membership is up.

I won't suggest anyone this fitness center, the jacuzzi is under maintenance from last 6 months and every time tried to inform this to a instructor its the same reply like a automated system that its gone get repair today is that's the reason I payed $50 entrance fees and pay $10 every month if i wanted to sit in TUB of water I could do that at home for free... and if i wana put a halt on the direct debt for a month if i wana go for a vacation they will charge you another fees.. so think before you join the gym coz there are better options in Fresno.

This gym location has terrible customer service to its members and seem to careless of their services. I had by-pass many things @ this location because a gym is to get a sweat on but when one day I need it their assistance they just gave me "The run around"!! This new blast fitness and their management sucks!!!!!!!!!!!

I have switched locations and I see the difference. Blast is not a bad gym but their staff is what makes this location not to ever come back.
