Swimming lessons should be fun, effective, and individually paced. Exceptional teaching methods, customized facilities, and positive reinforcement. Since 1956, we've been teaching kids and adults to swim β all ages and skill levels. We've worked with future Olympic swimmers. We also offer classes for Parents and babies, Adults or children with no swimming experience, and advanced students. Lessons are tailored to the individual in Semi Private or Private lessons. Blue Buoy treats all students like family.

This place is phenomenal! The entire staff is incredibly nice and capable, it is easily my kids favorite part of the week. They have our kids doing more advanced things compared to other places weβve tried and they absolutely love it. Recommend it to anyone getting their kids used to the water or learning to swim.

Their appointment arrangements system is terrible! When you need to change your schedule for the new school year, they will politely email you but always refuse by saying there are no spots available, and they won't proactively put you on the waiting list! I thought they had already put my son on their waiting list, but 30 days later, when I asked again, they said they could put on the waiting list! Their customer service system and the instructors are disconnected! When you need to reschedule, no one helps unless you ask! Or if you need to change your long-term course, they will avoid the important matters and make you use up the courses you should have! They really should give each instructor a watch or a time reminder device because their time management is really bad! There are always students who skip classes, and it's not the instructor's fault! If it ends up like this for a year, my child will lose $400-$500 per year! This shouldn't happen! It's completely unfair to children who study long-term! It may be 1-2 minutes at a time, which is not noticeable! We pay less than $700 per month for one child, and another child has been on their waiting list for 3-4 months with no newsοΌyet you often see new people in the pool!

I'm the nanny of a student here who was traumatized by swimming at a previous school, and when we came here, now a year later, she's not only having fun, but getting more confident with swimming.
She's almost 5 years old, and I'm so thrilled she has the best teacher, Mr. Eric. He's been so patient and has known exactly how to progress her along. The staff is also wonderful and kind. I'm always happy to say hi to them.
I'd love to bring my own kid here one day, they're that good and special! Please expand β€οΈ

Blue Buoy Family Swim School is a five star swim school. The instructors there know how to get your kids swimming and enjoying the water. My husband coached water polo and swimming 40 yrs and we highly recommend Blue Buoy Family Swim School. Blue Buoy is the best swim school in the area. We have gone there for 7 years and they've taught all of our kids to be safe, happy swimmers. We LOVE Blue Buoy and cannot recommend it enough to our friends. The staff and teachers are all so dedicated and caring, itβs a great learning environment for our kids. My granddaughter she is 6 years old was a student there for I believe 4 or 5 months.
I took her to our pool last week, we almost drowned, she doesn't know the first thing about swimming. I don't know what she was taught in those months.

I love this place and so my kids too! My kids were taking classes at this facility for almost 2 years before they had to close because of COVID, we celebrated my kids birthday there twice and I everyone loved the place, staff and how helpful and friendly everyone there were! Lifeguards and teacher are always friendly and playful with all kids they donβt discriminate anyone and are always happy to help and answer any concerns you might have, one of my kids itβs autistic and I love how patient and caring had been the teachers for my kid, I will never regret all the investment we put there for our children, my kids even miss going there and I think we will be back there soon. We had the pleasure to meet the owner and he is such a great human been, you can easily see the passion they have there to help little ones to meet their goals! Thanks again for the great quality service you offer!

They are so wonderful with the students. We have been taking lessons for three years, my daughter missed this the most when the closures happened. We are very cautious but felt comfortable coming back here due to their face shields and sanitation procedures.

We love Blue Buoy! Started both kids here at 5 months! All the instructors we have had are amazing, just to name a few..Josh, Mike, Aaliyah, Jeremy, Adrian, Emily, Pricilla! The lifeguards, staff and scheduling office are so friendly and helpful! It is a family environment and even the owner teaches and is always around saying hi and having fun with the kids! We have had all my sons birthday parties here too and it's been the best experience! We just had one and everyone had a blast, the lifeguards were so helpful and made sure everyone was safe. The facility is clean, and the pools are nice and warm! Both my kids have Mr. Josh as a instructor and he is so much fun! He is patient and kind with my baby and knows exactly how to teach our silly toddler! They both are learning so much from him. I highly recommend going here. Thank you Blue Buoy for always making our experience with you guys amazing.

We love it at Blue Buoy! Started with the parent and me classes with Mr. Jeremy when our daughter was 18 months, and she learned so much. Now she's 3 and has begun semi-private lessons. Can't wait to see her progress. They have convenient lesson times, knowledgeable and fun instructors, and very friendly staff. My only regret is not having started sooner

Just started swim classes with our almost 4 year old. He is enjoying the class, including the playtime after the classes with all the toys they have. The scheduling was relatively easy and we found spots that work for us and so far, both teachers we had were nice and he seems to make some progress in the water. It appears that taking classes here really helps. With me, he was more hesitant to try things or go under water. With the teachers, he just does it. Maybe it is the instructions they gave him, maybe they just listen better to an outside teacher than the parents.
In short, I think the swim classes here are a good investment and fun for the children. I would highly recommend Blue Buoy.

Both of my kids have learned to swim at Blue Buoy and I wouldnβt have it any other way. Every teacher is so friendly and knowledgeable that they can take kids that are terrified of the water and make them confident happy swimmers! They care about your kids as if they were their own and truly become a part of your family. My kids look forward to their lesson all week long!

I love this swimming school! My 5-year old son has been a student here for about a month now and he loves going every week and I have to drag him out when it's time to leave! He loves his semi-private lessons with Alayeh and the entire staff are all just so friendly.
The instructors here all have their profiles and bio on the website and many of them were students of BB themselves as infants/kids! They offer different types of lessons, based on your child's needs. There is a lot of flexibility in the schedule, too since they have so many instructors and long hours. The website offers a ton of information so when you're ready to tour or take advantage of one free lesson, you should be good to go and without too many questions.
The school is tucked next to an apartment community and kind of hidden away. The parking lot is large enough but it can get crowded on weekday evenings since that seems to be the more popular time for the kids and parents to come. If you're looking to sign up your child for swimming lessons, look no further!

My kid started swim lessons at 6 yrs old and had a lot of anxiety about pools and swimming. Within 1 lesson, Blue Buoy had him comfortable in the water and swimming under water. We have had a crazy summer schedule, but the admin staff has been very helpful and accommodating. I was worried because we had to switch instructors a lot for make ups and a few times the instructor was unavailable, but all the teachers have been great.

If you like your money being taken from you this is the place for you!!! both of my kids attended this place, the youngest one (6 m/o) was in the baby class which takes place in the same pool as the grown kids and after she got sick few times we stopped.
my older kid (4 y/o) attended the class for a year, I truly can't say that he swims better than a year ago, since we attended on Mondays a lot of sessions were canceled and we had to reschedule for make up - on the same week - so we ended up with not using more then 6 paid sessions.
every call with them ends with frustration - eventually we gave up.
I would never recommend this place to anyone!

We love Blue Buoy Swim School. Our twin daughters have been coming here for about 2 years. They swim like fish thanks to the patient and kind instructors. We are now participating in their swim meets on Saturday afternoons. Our girls are so proud of themselves and have gained a tremendous amount of confidence. We also had their 6th birthday party here in March. All the children and parents had a blast. The lifeguards helped set up the party and kept the kids engaged and safe.

A friend referred us to Blue Buoy Swim School and after my two kids did the initial class we knew it was the place for us. My kids (8 & 5, when we started) love swimming there. The water is heated and the pool is big so there is always room to swim and learn no matter how many classes are going on. Even better, if you don't have a pool at home for your kids to swim and practice, Blue Buoy has times that you can come and just let your kids swim. The office staff is great in helping me to schedule classes, offering make up classes and just overall great customer service. It has been a great experience at Blue Buoy and we have no complaints. Highly recommend!!

My son has been enrolled at Blue Buoy Swim School since he was 22 months old. He has had Miss Rosi since that time and because he was enjoying it so much, we added a second session with Robert. Wow! Both instructors are excellent and they have taught our son to swim. Now, he can dive and swim across the pool at not even 4 years old. Highly recommend!

We were recommended to Blue Buoy through our friends, whose children attend and could not be happier. After trying out several swim schools, both private and public and coming away unhappy, we were pleasantly surprised to find that we loved both the school and instructor from day one. The swim school is clean and inviting, with a warm pool and friendly staff. Our instructor, Jeremy, is knowledgeable with an outstanding personality and really knows how to bring the best out of each child. He had our two year old, who has cried his way through most instructions, in the water and laughing within 5 minutes of our first lesson. Needless to say, we are here to stay!

We love Blue Buoy!! Coach Stacy is amazing. SO patient with my twins and has given them gift of loving water and not being afraid. Within a month of starting swim lessons, my son went from being afraid to put his head in to sitting on the bottom of the pool and loving every minute! The staff are all great and you really feel like part of a family that loves each other. Every instructor is patient and knowledgeable. It is worth every penny and I'm looking forward to many years there!

We have been coming to Blue Buoy for 10 years. My kids not only learned how to swim, but I believe they have also aquired a life long love of the water. They have joined a competitive swim team, however, they continue their technique lessons at Blue Buoy. They look forward to their lessons with Coach Eric every week. The staff is amazing and the teachers are great. It has become our home away from home.
