I started 6 weeks ago and have already noticed improvement in my body, mind and spirit. My arms and legs seemed more toned. My body aches are subsiding. I feel my chakras being cleared, overall positive and energized.
I find the classes challenging but rewarding.
I highly recommend Body & Brain Yoga Tai Chi to anyone who wants strength in their lower and upper body. Additionally, find happiness. Everyone in the class are always in good spirits and friendly.

The Pasadena tai chi class and all the different daily classes are phenomenal. Each one is so different awakening my body and cleansing my organs. I live an hour away, but I still come. And I also do them online now and their live classes and those are extremely helpful. I canβt Recommend the energy at this place enough. Master Sunny is my teacher and she is fantastic

I love this Pasadena Body and Brain Center. Conveniently located right off at the Lake exit. I didn't go here when it was at the paseo mall, haha! So glad to meet Master Sunny here. She is amazing and she is GREAT healer too! She asks you to get a little more pain than yesterday

This center yoga is different than other places. The origin of this teaching stems from way back of the Korean history. What I get from here is healthier and happier body and mind, not just stretching and work out.

A year ago I was extremely unwell, after 2 life threatening events, I can honestly say that the regular practice of taichi at Body and Brain has saved my life and given be my strength back. I am more limber and strong than I have been in years. I sleep better I am more motivated and I have more clarity. This practice is for everyone at every fitness level whatever your age. I walked by this place multiple times and finally decided to check it out as Iβm seeking for a wellness home. I signup for an introductory session with Annabella and it was an excellent experience. She explained the philosophy and foundation of the practice, did an assessment of my body condition, and took me through a quick experience of the various classes they offered. In a short amount of time I could feel the subtle difference in my body and mind. I gladly signed up for their monthly program to get the full experience.

I started practicing Tai Chi Qigong at Body and Brain in Pasadena last July (2023). I knew very little about Tai Chi other than my brother had been practicing it for years and loved the benefits. I had sustained hip and shoulder injuries from playing hockey and other physically demanding sports over the years, and saw this as a way to treat my body better and stay flexible snd work on balance as I age. So I started attending body and brain and noticed right away not only the physical benefits, greater flexibility and strength but also the calming feeling that I experience at the end of every session. Iβve been learning about meridians and chakras and how our body at times will hold pain and create energy blockage that canβt flow. Further, certain practices of tai chi can actually heal the body. And as crazy as it sounds, I did have such an experience. I had been taking statins over 10 years due to a high cholesterol level, specially with my LDL. In June 2023 at my annual physical I told my general practitioner that I wanted to get off Lipitor and try to manage the cholesterol on my own. He recommended high dose, fish oil and more exercise. Then while attending body and brain, I started to learn about gut health, especially using the wooden pillow to stimulate healing in the lower abdomen. When I went to the doctors in February 2024 to get my blood tested, I found that my cholesterol level was way lower than what it was even when I was taking the meds. I wholeheartedly believe that the wooden pillow and stomach exercises that Iβve learned at Body and Brain have contributed to my lower cholesterol levels. I am still active with sports and intend to keep practicing Tai Chi. I highly recommend
Body and Brain for anyone looking to optimize their health, reduce stress and anxiety and learn how to heal your body. The instructors truly care for the well being of the membership.

This class is working equally on both, physical and mental plans of body. Fantastic instructor, mr. Kim, his words took us the mountains and we all have little birds in our hands to send to sky. Finding this place has been one of the best things about moving to Pasadena. The combination of yoga and tai chi (with a Korean twist) is a perfect fit for me both mentally and physically. I am recovering from a cancer relapse last year and have been in considerable pain. After only a few weeks of practice the pain has diminished and my flexibility improved considerably.

The masters are wonderful and are willing to help address your needs -- whether it be muscle pains in the neck and back to emotional energy that needs to be released. This center and the Body & Brain programs are top notch!

Master Kim Master Soul and Master Mikey bring incredible knowledge about the human body in their trainings at the Pasadena Center. Each are totally there for our growth making a difference in our bodies and our lives. I am not an addictive person and Body and Brain is my wonderful addiction. They each bring their love devotion and sense of humors to our classes.

Body and Brain has been life changing for me! I cannot recommend this place enough. One day I was dropping off a package at UPS and parked in front of the studio. I truly feel it was meant to be for me to park in front of this place and try it out. When I started at Body and Brain, I struggled with anxiety, depression, confidence, burnout and more. Dahari and the entire Body and Brain staff are fantastic and I am so grateful for them! I have really enjoyed getting to know Dahari and having 1:1 sessions with her. I have never had a yoga or yoga associated class before. BC(before covid) I did regular cardio and weights at the local gym. But now DC (during covid) no access to gyms, stress of all that's happening in the US in addition to covid, unknowingly had an impact on my health blood pressure anxiety etc had changed without my really knowing until I had a hospital procedure and they discovered these during that. Yoga has been a life saver in the sense of controlling anxiety, digestive improvement, stress release, increased flexibility in my recent knee replacement taking it the final mile that physical therapy had become sort stuck in place. I am enjoying the various yoga classes and have now after 3 months incorporating so much that I have learned into my exercise routine. and the pricing and schedule flexibility make it easy to engage and impossible not find something that works for you. I don't give many A's but this in one of them. A blessing for me.

Almost three years ago, i was looking for a yoga class to complement my newly discovered passion for running on steep mountain trails. I happened on Body & Brain, a center for the Korean practice of "energy healing." I am a cynic and a skeptic about spiritual programs for healing, even though I am convinced that physical exercise, a practice of being still and relieving ourselves of thoughts, and compassionate actions are a recipe for physical and emotional health. B&B sustained me in ultrarunning races, through emotional turmoil, and in my mental and physical stability. My experience has been very simple. Every time I attend a B&B class, my body feels fully stretched and open. My mind is relaxed, and my nervous system is in balance. The main reason I initially had confidence in the B&B classes is that the workout/training is consistent with the advice of two trainers whom I respect and who really know body mechanics. Because of the pandemic, I have been able to attend classes more frequently by Zoom. Every day has a different focus, but when taken together, the rewards are exponentially greater. The unique practices that effect "energy healing," including body tapping and "belly button healing," essentially focus on strengthening the core and manipulating or "unsticking" internal organs, with a healing effect both physically and emotionally. Fundamental to the B&B program is a meditative attention to coordinating the body and the brain. I struggle to meditate, but intrusive physical challenges during the process at B&B require me to banish the thoughts while focusing on trying to hold that "sleeping tiger" posture for 10+ minutes! Add to this a truly unique quality of the Master practitioners - an unwavering commitment and attention to each student's well-being, with personal check-in one-on-one meetings and recommendations about things to do to address individual issues. While all the extra programs have some appeal, they really seemed to me to be multiple opportunities to upsell. But the relationship is so easy that I felt comfortable enough to communicate that concern. I was so glad I did; I was told no pressure is intended. The encouragement to participate is strong, but as I discovered this past weekend at my first supplemental program, these are genuine opportunities to participate in additional practices that help you heal and help you to help others to heal. Or to pursue whatever goal you may have. Their orientation is one of sustainability and peaceful interaction of all human communities and helping participants to live a life that promotes optimism and empowerment in those around them. I have done a considerable amount of work and study in this area, and I find that the Body & Brain approach is entirely consistent with the life of calm, kindness, and generosity that I seek every day. While your experience may be completely different, I found that being open to an unfamiliar practice continues to enhance my physical health and my overall motivation and creativity.

Iβve been taking online classes with Body & Brain Pasadena for about 3 months. Their stretching classes helps me relax, and relieves tension and stiffness on my body (I have scoliosis back issues). They also use several techniques, such as body tapping, which stimulates energy and blood circulation. The master trainers at this facility are very experienced, knowledgeable, and helpful. Yoga Body & Brain has been an amazing spiritual journey for myself and my family. Itβs not your typical yoga, they teach you how to channel your energy for spiritual growth. I attended my first yoga session today at the Pasadena location, it was a wonderful experience. Master Dahari and Master Kim were very welcoming with a positive demeanor. The prices are very reasonable. The class was relaxing, it was very beneficial to my well being. It was a great experience learning how to channel energy through my body. This is only for rich retired people who have never taken a yoga class, are completely inactive and want a new cult leader. You'll get his book (for a fee), and then get lots of hugs from center staff, but will be expected to pay quite a lot for classes, workshops, that frequently have ridiculous moves that do not consider various types of injuries or limitations, the way that a regular yoga instructor would. It's a cult, they care about money and you'd be better off anywhere else.

I don't know what would I do without this place!
Whatever happens in life - I know I can come here and put myself together again. Very safe, welcoming environment. Wheather you need to talk or be left alone - it is noticed and respected.
Had been going for 1.5 years and my life significantly changed. I recovered relationship with the family, found a job I was looking for.

My sister and I have been members for 4 months. A unique practice that gives us the tools to help overcome the stress of the day and get fit along the way. Instructors teach us a gentle yoga full of simple exercises that are fun, diverse and challenging. Since taking these classes we feel relaxed, light-hearted, focused and more flexible. I look forward going to my "happy classes" because this is what you will feel when you leave the center. The classes are about healing, great for all and those that can't do strenuous exercises but want to sweat and have a good work out. Stretching, breathing, core training, cardio.....whole body exercise from head to toes.
However, the best part of the center is the instructors. Master Kim and Master Dahari genuinely care about their members. I come here for physical healing and spiritual connection.

When I first came to the Dhan Yoga Center I was there for the Tai Chi classes. Not having a calendar on when the Tai Chi classes began I became swept up in the Dhan Yoga classes three times a week. I've been a consistent member for 11 months now and have noticed a lot of improvement with my health and spiritual well being. I'm 54 years of age with high blood pressure, and diabetes. Dhan Yoga has been very beneficial for my health and my spiritual well being, it has greatly helped me manage my blood sugars more effectively. I also have been able to cut my blood pressure medication in half and plans of eliminating the blood pressure medication altogether. Now the holistic part of Dhan Yoga is such an added bonus that it has shown me how much the two go together and how mind and body is not separate but one. Just learning how to breath not only in normal situation but also in stressful situation is worth the price alone. The stretching and the movement has also greatly increased my flexibility, my whole body range of motion, my energy level along with my over all endurance. The Dhan Yoga instructors are warm, caring and consistent with helping you obtain mind and body balance. Along with maintaining this helpful knowledge that has not been fully made available to to western society.

A great place to explore yourself and heal... I have been suffering with anxiety for 15 years. I'm one month in and already experiencing a change in health. Not only do you learn the exercises, but also learn to heal your mind, spirit and body at the same time. The instructors are very knowledgeable and show a great deal of care for their clients. My first two weeks of class at the Body & Brain center in Pasadena have been so exhilarating. I came to this center with stress overload, feeling extremely tired, bags under my eyes, almost lifeless, but still pressing forward. I had been giving to everyone else, but not enough to myself. I felt like my life force energy was slowly depleting. But now, since this class, I am alive again. Who would have thought that focused tapping and breathing, would keep the stress bugs away everyday! My husband noticed the change immediately because the bags under my eyes were disappearing and my energy was lighter. I truly appreciate having a place to come and take care of me for a change.

Too often we don't take time for ourselves. I am a hard working professional with a high stress job and I juggle my home and social life. I know if I don't take time for myself that something is going to break or take a physical toll. I was always curious about yoga but never tried it. Joining Body & Brain Pasadena is truly one of the best things I've ever done for myself! I initially joined because I hoped to improve my extremely poor circulation - hands & feet were always cold and falling asleep. I also hoped to improve a torn rotator cuff that was always aching. Although the stretching, breathing & meditation exercises seemed a little odd at first, they were also very addictive and fun! After only a couple of months I can see great improvement in my circulation, flexibility & energy levels. I have greater strength in my shoulder and less pain! Body & Brian Yoga is a one-of-a-kind yoga practice. Since I joined the Pasadena location last November, I have experienced remarkable improvements. Body & Brain has been another alternative approach to change the way I look at the medical system now days. After going into surgery because I was told a needed stems cells in order to correct an unusual heart problem. Left the hospital taking medicine for high blood pressure and others, I felt, I was taking the pharmacy with me. I had to take time off my yoga classes I was taking at Body and Brain in order to heal my body. My name is Dr. Beauty Swe, and I am an Internist, with a very busy, successful solo private practice in Pasadena, affiliated with Huntington Memorial Hospital and Arcadia Methodist Hospital. I had been researching and looking for an effective alternative way to help and heal my medical problems rather than the extreme conventional treatments.
I am so thankful that I found Body and Brain Yoga as, few months after I started practicing this, my severe symptoms of cervical stenosis and left shoulder ligament tear improved so much that I was able to not only avoid surgery altogether but also go back to doing things I had not been able to do before like jogging, swimming and spinning.
It has also dramatically helped me with my severe sleep apnea. I have had to wear a CPAP machine and mask every night for the past 5 1/2 years. Without it I would feel very lethargic and fatigued as soon as I wake up, so tired that every day I felt I could just go back to sleep anytime. Six months of practicing Body and Brain Yoga and Solar Body methods, I do not need to use the CPAP machine anymore at all and every day I have so much energy and focus that despite my 14 hour busy work day, I swim, bike, jog and yoga training 6 days a week. Plus voluntary work at a Free Clinic on my day offs.
After experiencing the amazing healing benefits myself, I have been enthusiastically recommending Body & Brain's holistic wellness techniques to many of my patients, friends and family, near and far even back home in my country. Dahn Yoga has powerfully improved my life in amazing ways. The first class felt... a bit odd (I was use to a different type of yoga), but I had already signed up for a 10 pack, so I kept going. Within three classes I was sleeping much deeper. It felt like it was helping me improve the state of my body, mind, and soul, simultaneously and effectively. Before I ran out of classes I signed up for a 3 month membership. That was 6 years ago in Atlanta. Despite usually being one of the youngest members (at this Pasadena location), I keep going because it's so worth it --physical, mental, and emotional clarity, strength, and focus. This is a great place to unwind after a long day or start out your day. The space seems newly renovated and clean. Everyone is warm and welcoming. The exercises are good for all levels. When I leave a class I always feel a lot less tired and much less stressed than when I walked in. Dahn Yoga is more practical and more holistic than any other yoga I have ever experienced. The exercises, that emphasize the movement and flow of energy in one's body, are both simple and challenging at the same time. Everyone can do them on some level, and should do them, because they can heal on many levels. On the purely physical side, in just four months, I have nearly eliminated chronic pain in both my shoulder and hip, am managing my migraines, and am developing muscle definition in my arms and abdomen that is simply astonishing.
But there are mind and spiritual advantages to this practice as well. I feel more connected to my body now, and yet less attached to it. I have turned my haunting perfectionism into an easy discipline that allows me to be more forgiving and amused by my faults and imperfections rather than critical and anxious. I have learned to forgive myself and yet I am constantly and successfully pushing myself beyond what I think are my limitations. Overall I am creating a stronger, more flexible body, and a steadier spirit.
The staff at the Pasadena Center are impeccable. Master Hong-ik who just "knows" things and Master Dahari are both supportive and present and truly masterful.
And our new center is absolutely beautiful. Great place, great staff, amazing members, a good place to be!

I have been looking for a yoga studio that I can feel at home in and this is the place. The instructors and so welcoming and knowledgeable. The yoga is combined with spiritual and energy work and anyone at any physical level can start and be successful right away. I have been doing for bout 4 months and see a marked increase in my energy levels and I am able to move my knees much more than I could when I started. I am feeling very motivated to continue my practice with Dahn Yoga and only wish I had found it years ago.

I was a member at the Pasadena center for over a year. I had to relocate for a job so I no longer take classes there. While I was participating at the center my health condition got better. Before I started I could touch my toes with only my fingertips. Now I could touch them with the palm of my hands and occasionally touch my forehead to my knees. So I would say my flexibility got a whole lot better. My emotional condition got better as well as I no longer get affected by drivers who senselessly drive in front me.
I highly recommend becoming a long-time member because the physical, emotional, and spiritual conditions are healed with a sincere practice.

I have been attending Dahn Yoga in Pasadena since the end of February, and it has been an amazing experience. I have learned so much that is different from the traditions I know, and yet, it has allowed me to grow in directions I wouldn't have otherwise. Dahn Yoga is really a fusion of yoga, tai chi, energy work, meridian and chakra healing, heart and life work. It is the most comprehensive 'yoga' movement classes I've experienced, and it is helping me open my joints and heal old scars.
Master Kim focuses on Hong Ik, the concept of dedicating oneself to creating a life that benefits all life, and that permeates everything at the center. If regular yoga doesn't work for you, or is too slow or too boring, come to Dahn Yoga!
