I love the classes offered here and the teachers (Masters). They give very close attention to us and very patiently guide me to every exercise. I gained good energy and also my health has been improved in many aspects. I am very glad I am a member of this Body & Brain studio. Since the Pandemic, B&B Rolling Hills quickly transfer all classes on Zoom, with the same schedule as before plus more workshops for us to work out during this lock-in time. This Sunday I went to the most incredible “yoga by the sea” class.
The backdrop of the beautiful Pacific Ocean was hypnotic.
It was therapeutic to perform the gentle flow of the tai chi exercises while breathing in the crisp ocean breeze, and absorbing the sun’s healing energy.
Such a great way to start my week.

I began classes as I purchased a 3 month pass since the end of February 2020, as I was looking for a whole body (easy on the body) workout. I was recovering from major surgery affecting my breasts and abdomen and took a free class in person and was able to take in person classes for a few weeks before studios were shut down. The instructors quickly pivoted to Zoom, and I have been able to take Zoom classes usually at 10 am every day class is in session. The other time for class is 6 pm and a few nights have 7:30 pm classes. I love having the accountability of doing class with my instructors, and I have enjoyed over the past 20 months a variety of instructors/ Master trainers. Currently there are options for in person classes, but I still prefer attending my Zoom which means you can take class from anywhere. I have learned to be more present in the moment, learning how to breath to relax, to meditate while focusing on working different parts of my body. I am learning Korean style Taichi, and feel that these classes have helped me stay calm and anxiety free during the pandemic. The classes have been my life saver during these past 20 months. Currently, Master Chris at the Rolling Hills Center is an excellent instructor of all different kinds of classes. Occasionally it's nice to have Master Shim or Amy teach classes as well for variety. Also, in lieu of going to the gym, Master Chris has offered 3 classes per month on strength and mobility which I have taken continuously since August 2020, and the early bird price is very reasonable for three 1.5 hour classes on Thursday evenings. As with anything new, you need to try it for at least 3 months to really get the right feel. And that is assuming regular class attendance. I am thankful for being able to find something to help me physically, spiritually, mentally, and emotionally as I learn to manage getting to know my body and keep it moving with energy and strength.

Due to COVID-19, all our classes are on line through Zoom. It is great, you can take classes wherever you are. All you need is a laptop, desktop, iPad or a phone. Now the center is also open for in person instructions, please call for reservations since space is limited due to COVID-19.
Our center offers many kinds of class, Tai Chi, Yoga, meditation, stretching and vibration class which also includes free form dancing.
Our center manager is Master Chris. He knows a lot about how our body works & how to make it better. He gives many variations of the same exercise. The is is great for me since I have knee problems. I can choose a version that CAN do. I took a special class a few month ago, I am still using some of the exercises to build my arm muscles!
The center is doing lots of promotions. So more people can try out our classes!

Great teaching! Masters John and Panida teach you every movement in detail at an appropriate pace paying attention to each member during the class. Relaxing and friendly atmosphere! Apart from the regular classes, offered now online, there are semi-private classes and workshops (online) that complement the class experience getting better understanding and benefit of Tai chi, breathing, yoga and meditation. Joined this yoga and Taichi place about 2 months ago and extremely happy about it. If you are looking for the yoga, which is more than just usual physical exercises and poses but more complex spiritual and balance yoga, and Taichi, this is your place. The master Join and Panida, his assistant, are warm great people and created welcome lovely environment in the studio. The classes are different on each day and for all different levels. Joining Body and Brain Yoga is one of the most loving things I have done for myself in long time. I really just wanted to get a little exercise in. I’ve only been coming for a few weeks but I already feel a transformation taking place. Not just with my body but energetically, mentally and emotionally. Body & Brain provides a special place to work out, meditate, and dive into the practice of tai chi and yoga. There’s a great sense of community - people of all abilities are welcomed warmly. Master John is a fantastic teacher - his depth of knowledge is apparent immediately, and his compassion and sense of humor help you improve your practice even when the workout gets tough!
You get out of it what you put into it! I started out slowly and still benefited from attending classes. But then I resolved to commit to the classes and practice for a longer stretch of time, and the benefits (strength, energy, a sense of centeredness) were multiplied.

I started taking classes here a couple of months ago not really knowing much about Tai Chi, but it's been an awesome experience. I’ve been coming for a year now and I enjoyed their classes. Wooden pillow class on Mondays is very relaxing. Deep Stretching class on Wednesdays is the most popular (tip: come early!) My favorite class is Tai Chi on Thursdays. Parking is easy. The instructors are nice and friendly (and they truly honestly care about your well being). The space is super clean and the toilet seat warmer in the bathroom is a huge bonus!

This place is a gem hiding right out in the open. It's called Body & Brain because you go there to take care of the whole package. Each day has a different class. My favorites are Wednesday's Deep Stretching - you feel light as a feather after this class - and Friday's Vibration class, which includes not only stretching the body but also the brain. I have recently been going to Thursday's Tai Chi class, and I can swear, as a skateboarder, I notice an improvement in my balance already. At this point, I'm hooked. I can't ignore the overall improvement in my well being. Results are results. I am more centered, calmer, happier, and, at 39, I feel better physically than I have in a long time. Think you are too old? Nope. One of my favorite classmates just turned 90. Give it a shot; see for yourself. I'm glad I did.

The first few steps i took arriving at this yoga center i already felt the great energy around me. Peaceful, beautiful, calming are all words that describe how i feel here. I began this blissful journey with a class called energy movement, from that point on i felt a huge connection with my body a feeling that was never felt before. When the workshop was over i spoke to one of the masters and said im willing to pay for the membership no matter how much it is. I know my life has changed tremendously from joining this center i have no worry, i have no fear, i have no anxiety from any of my life challenges. I have grown so much in these past few months : mentally physically and spiritually. After attending a finding true self workshop at one of the other centers i didnt realize how much my soul was hurt i always thought i was okay. After this workshop it changed me so much all i want is healing, all i want is to save myself and to love myself. Body N brain yoga has showed me the way to finding my true self. I feel so lucky to be a member of the Body & Brain Yoga. After my intestinal surgery and in the past six years, I suffered from serious stomach ache once or twice each month. Thanks for the belly button healing wand which does the magic wonder as well as for the Body & Brain Yoga exercise, I don’t have stomach ache problem after doing the exercise three or four times each week in the first month. And thanks Master John & Sue who are always there to help and answer my questions. You will feel like being loved and cared. I have more energy and happier with better health. John and Chris are the absolute best! I hate exercising (i.e. Running) but this is the only exercise I will do and actually enjoy. I've only been enrolled for 3 weeks and I'm already so much more flexible than I was when I initially started. I was not very active for many years and I started feeling my joints were in pain, never limber and I was feeling pretty bad, I was starting some activities but not being constant! some of those times because the environment was not good and sometimes because my joints were killing me (then Dr diagnosed me with Arthritis! GRRR...) One day about 4 months ago I decided to go to ask info of the body & Brain Yoga center here in Rolling Hills Estates, got signed up for 1 month to see if it was cool for me. After the first class I started feeling good! (not magic, but i was feeling relaxed, relieved and very interested in the whole system and values of this place) I signed for the year right away! Going to the class is the highlight of my day, i have lost weight, i feel better, little bit more limber and I feel more focused... The environment is very nice, the instructors are the best. ^^
It has done a huge difference in my health I have told everyone I know that they should try it, I even brought all my family to try one class with me when they were visiting me :)
When I can't go to class, I can still do the exercises at home and is just like giving a break to my body, it just feels great!
Note: I travel to Asia very often and last trip i did last month, was the first one in years without knee pain! that was amazing!

I have been going to the Body & Brain center for almost ten years. The instructors are so patient, kind and always smiling. The atmosphere is relaxing and calm. The yoga and Tai Chi classes are designed for those who haven't done this type of exercise before - very gentle, yet invigorating. The more advanced yogi will also benefit though. Everyone just goes at their own pace. Attending classes at the center has become a part of my life and the wonderful members have become friends. I recommend Body and Brain 100%!

Not your usual kind of yoga instruction! Much more about stretches than traditional postures although they have that, too. Great emphasis is given to doing things properly. One unique feature is that every class is different. I've been coming for over a year and no class has ever been a repeat of one before. It seems they're always coming up with something new. If you are looking for value, the average class is supposed to run an hour but they always extend 10-15 minutes longer.

I am a long- time member of Dahn Yoga and this center is one of my favorite locations.
The center is especially beautiful in its peaceful surrounding of Palos Verdes, it must be the heart of the area <3 Members, staff and instructors make this place feel like home immediately.

I have been a devoted Dahn Member since 2005 at the Rolling Hills Estates Center. I started shortly after an acute subarachnooid cerebral hemorrhage. it was a trying time and i required lots of a physcial therapy. i wanted to be more proactive with my healing process and the center had opened up in my area. i had taken several years of traditional yoga, and Dahn was a new concept to me. i wasn't sure how Dahn would benefit me, but, i was open to the practice and willing to try. it has been my greatest asset in my recovery and has given me my life back!! i give much credit to the masters, their diligent, dedicated commitment, who unselfishly give of themselves and the Dahn program. Hi my name is VERONICA. I have been with DAHN YOGA for 11 years and it has changed my life greatly. I came in with health problems that were caused from my habits with out even knowing. Doctors said that I needed to take high blood pressure medicine, but I refused to do so. I thought there had to be a better way. In the first month of Dahn practice I quit smoking and when I went back to the doctors they could not find anything wrong with my health. That was the begining of my bright and new life. I contiued to work very hard for the growth of my mind, body and spirit. I really learned how to manage everything in my life with peace and love. Great place. The ambiance gives a great sense of peace and relaxation. I have been going here for almost one year now. The instructors are great and full of positive energy. Students are very nice and friendly. As everyone else have mentioned, the place gives me immense peace which calms me down in my daily routine. Everyone in my family has seen the difference in me. Most importantly, I am happy and small things in life don't bother me as much as they used to. I highly recommend everyone to give this place a try.

I feel really good after class. The instructors are very good and so happy. My lower back pain began to subside and after serveral months it was gone completley. Now I go almost everday since each day, the classes are different. And I do not want the pain to come back. I get colds less often and I am happier. Now I am unhappy when I cannot go do yoga.

I feel very relaxed coming here. The instructors really spend time with you and so down to earth. They crack me up during the class. Its very unusual for a Yoga studio. I always thought Yoga studios are all about being quiet and stuff but I feel very at home here. I really learn how to quiet my mind and become sincere and at the same time have fun with myself. You gotta try it to understand!
