I’m someone who’s always been passionate about fitness, so being diagnosed with frozen shoulder was incredibly difficult—both physically and emotionally. I had to stop going to Pilates twice a week, which I loved, because the pain and limited mobility were just too much. I felt really down, until I discovered Gyrotonic—and I can honestly say it has been a lifesaver.
Dana is truly an exceptional instructor. With her engineering background, she explains the principles behind every movement so clearly and logically. Her teaching goes far beyond just showing you what to do—she helps you understand why you’re doing it. What’s been most impressive is how Dana was able to teach me movements that I had learned in physical therapy, but from an entirely new perspective. She teaches with great dedication and care and her unique approach gave me insights and benefits that I hadn't experienced before, and it has made a huge difference in my recovery from frozen shoulder.
Of course, I also take time to practice at home — but it’s Dana’s guidance that has made that practice meaningful and effective. I feel so lucky to have found her. I feel so lucky to have found her. Highly, highly recommend!

I've been going to Dana once a week for around 2 months. It's been great!
Because of extended hours working in front of computer, I had what's so called office syndrome; unexplainable headache, shoulder pain, chronic back pain. I also had Anterior Pelvic Tilt. I knew my posture was not great, but I was not sure how to improve that. I knew doing Pilates could help with the core body but I was afraid I couldn't do it right. That's where I think I should look for a professional help.
Dana had a first hand experience fighting many of the conditions that I had. She's also able to convey the subtle details of body muscles in a very scientific way. More than that, because of her attentive to the details, she's able to tell right away what goes wrong and what goes right when I perform each exercise. I've learned so much since I started sessions with Dana, I'm able to understand more deeply the cause of my condition and how they are related. My posture is getting better and I can feel the difference! I am very fortunate to find Body Center Element close to where I live and I am looking forward to the session each week.

I've been going to Dana for a few months as she is helping prepare me for my BASI pilates test out. Dana has extensive knowledge of the body, Gyro, and Pilates. I've learned so much from her in just the short span that I've known her, and she has been a lot of help to me as I'm in the thick of completing my Pilates certification. She is very patience, supportive, and has been willing to help me meet my goal.

Dana is an amazing teacher. Due to long hours of meetings and computer use over the years, my body has become particularly stiff. When I moved to Sunnyvale, I was eager to find a good gyrotonic studio. Luckily, I found Dana. She teaches with great dedication and care. Through gyrotonic exercises, she guides the body through stretches, rotations, and relaxation from different angles. I attend her classes twice a week now, and if I miss a week, I feel notably fatigued. Dana has truly improved my life. I recommend her to anyone in need.

Dana has a great understanding of human physics. With a quick glance and without me saying any words, she pointed to the area of the pain and helped me with the problem that several sessions of physiotherapy could not fix. She is understanding, patient, and professional.

Dana is a rare gem. I’ve had many good teachers who can teach the material they were taught but Dana goes beyond her teachings and customizes a program for each individual client.
I’m not your typical client. I’m 70 and have moved all my life and have had MANY instructors in dance, yoga, pilates, as well as private trainers in a gym setting. It was okay for a time but I wasn’t reaching my goals with an aging body. Working with Dana, she’s tailored my sessions to help me achieve my goals using pilates, gyrotonic and gyrokensis methods. It’s ALWAYS the teacher who makes all the difference!!!
With my private sessions, I have actually gone beyond what I felt I could accomplish; have improved my shoulder range of motion, spinal flexion and rotation, hip tension, ankle and foot mobility just to name a few. Once I reach a goal we move on or dig deeper in a particular area or we see what more we could accomplish.
I highly recommend Dana as an instructor and enjoying her beautiful private studio.
