P.H. Bodybar Pilates is conveniently located and has excellent instructors. Pilates with the reformer was a new concept for me; but with their guidance, it's made a big difference in my fitness.

Love BodyBar pilates. Warning: the workouts are addictive! You have to be comfortable being uncomfortable for change to take place.” That’s their motto and I am sticking to it.

This is perfect for getting my balance, strength, and core back after a 2 year hiatus. Instructors are all great and the workouts are different even though I've only taken Classic.

I tried BodyBar Pilates yesterday (the Classic class) and I loved my entire experience! I was immediately greeted with the warmest energy from Patti and instructor April. I knew from the moment I walked in that this studio had a great welcoming vibe. The studio even wrote a welcome message on their chalkboard to the new students which was so unexpected and sweet! I’m newer to Pilates and April took her time to help me during class when needed. She’s a natural instructor with great energy! Patti took the time after class to tell me about membership and class package options, as well as the BodyBar app. The studio is clean, expansive and beautiful, and they carry the cutest Pilates items for sale in the front! This studio is a gem in Pleasant Hill and I can’t wait for my next class!

I used to come to BodyBar Pleasant Hill since they have opened last year of 2024. I’ve never done reformer Pilates and I’m glad this was my very first studio! Either you’re at a beginner level, intermediate or even a pro- the classes and instructors are very awesome! I highly recommend this studio for those who have been wanting to start or even continue their pilates journey.

Nice studio, plenty of parking and great instructors. Also, their sock selection is good. I swear I buy at least 1 new pair a week. Where am I going with all of these socks!

I just started at bodybar after trying a few of the competitors in the area for months and this is the studio for me! It has nice mix of classes, times, and the classes have always space. I love the teachers, especially Karen! The owner was so nice also when I signed up. Very positive experience and got a year unlimited membership!

I am one of the founding members of this Bodybar Pilates club. I went to 2 other ones before joining this one. The instructors are the best and always spicing things up with new moves, the owner is great and the manager is amazing!! I usually do 13 classes a week and I've watched this place grow with new members all the time over the last year. Ya gotta reserve your classes 2 weeks out and get there early for your favorite spot!! Love my Bodybar Pilates in Pleasant Hill, it's the best!!

I honestly cant say enough about BodyBar in Pleasant Hill. I started mid Jan because I am over 50 and have gained about 10 lbs I cant get rid of, and the fact that I wear dresses everyday and not one had fit for over a year. The problem is I dont feel comfortable joining classes...I brought one of my friends and took a classic class (THANK YOU KAREN) and I literally felt so comfortable there like I had been coming for months. performance not so great but they made me want to come back, so supportive and kind and welcoming.
I have commited to having this as my daily routine and miss it when I cant. Seeing familiar faces and all different types of ppl. I literally cant say enough about how this has changed me in a millon ways.. oh and 50 classes in i fit into ALL my dresses. and my body has never had shape that it is getting now.... Thank you ladies!!! you are the BEST!!!!

Arrive 10 min ahead of time but due to their policy of being 15 min early on your first class they did not let us in claiming it would “disrupt the instructor” as she’s now doing “other things”. The lady at the front was extremely rude and condescending. Definitely not returning or considering a membership here. The tone was extremely uncalled for..
Update: They never asked what my experience level is. Therefore, assuming I would need step by step guidance on how to work equipment. One, I am not an incompetent being. Two, the first words said to me as I walked in the door were “ so your reservation has been canceled :)”
Please read other reviews with critics or disappointment and the owner answers with another condescending response. She is RUDE.
Save yourself the time & do not come here. Also, I’d like to add they only tried calling me to discuss further AFTER I wrote this review. I’m a nurse who worked 16 hours the night prior and STILL made it 10 min early. God forbid they have some sort of flexibility considering there was only like four other people in the building. Simply, this place sucks & this is the first review I’ve EVER left anywhere.. if that says anything.

I absolutely love this Pilates studio. The instructors are not only knowledgeable but also so kind and encouraging. They really take the time to make sure you feel comfortable while still challenging you in the best way. I’ve noticed a real difference in my strength and how I feel overall since starting classes here.
The studio itself has such a welcoming vibe—it’s clean, peaceful, and a place I genuinely look forward to coming to. It’s been such a great addition to my routine, and I’m so happy I found it. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a supportive and uplifting Pilates community.

BODYBAR made it easy to create a habit of working out. I joined with the intention of doing pilates once a week, but it quickly became a 5x a week workout habit because EVERYONE (staff, instructors and members) are extremely encouraging, supportive and helpful!!! Definitely recommend this studio 💜

I absolutely love this place- the facility is immaculate, the instructors are all amazing and the staff and owner, Melissa, are always so friendly and helpful. There are a variety of classes to choose from and you always walk out of there feeling so much better. I recently had an injury and these classes have been so good for my rehab and even more importantly, my spirit. I encourage anyone who wants to get stronger, more limber, and healthier in both body and spirit to join.

I started coming to BODYBAR when they first opened in February. I’d done mat Pilates for many years, but was new to the Reformer. I was intimidated, but decided to try out the free class. I started with their Classic classes, as they incorporate stretches and it was a good introduction to using the Reformer. I enjoyed the classes so much, that I signed up for a monthly membership and eventually transitioned to unlimited.
The instructors are awesome, they have their own style and I love the variety of music they program for classes. The classes are challenging, but doable and the instructors always provide progressions or modifications. They offer different class formats, there is something for everybody. I love how diverse all the members are - different age ranges, body shapes, fitness levels, etc. Every class is different, so you'll never be bored. I’ve seen my body change in the past 7 months, I am definitely stronger and boy, does it feel good! Give BODYBAR a try, I highly recommend it!

I love this place. I’ve always struggled to find the right workout routine for me- one that I would stick to- but BODYBAR has made me look forward to class, making it easy to stay consistent.
The ambiance is welcoming and clean. The reception staff always greet you with a smile and the instructors are all amazing. They are friendly and clear.
They have different types of classes to choose from. The Classic is my favorite. It’s a great pace and I appreciate the stretching between sets. I recently took my 50th class and it still always leaves me feeling challenged.

I will be 70 in a few months and I wanted to write a review about Bodybar so others my age would consider this wonderful option that is now available in Pleasant Hill.
During Covid, I really let my fitness and nutrition go. I have a hip socket problem, and since I had lost all muscle tone, it was really bothering me, even when walking. So this year I was determined to work on my fitness, as I have 8 grandkids and want to keep water skiing with them! Bodybar had just opened when I walked past, went in and ended up taking the free class. I loved the focus on controlled movements and building core strength, with no high impact.
I have taken my measurements each month and I'll share that on March 1 after two weeks of classes, my hips went from 45 1/2 to 43 1/8! I was wearing a size 12-14 jean in January and today I am wearing a size 6-8 jean. My clothes fit better, and my muscles are much tighter and toned. My batwings are still there but considerably smaller. I was physically very weak initially and could not do certain exercises, but the instructors are absolutely the best and worked with me every step of the way. They showed me ways to do things that allowed me to get stronger without getting hurt, and I’ve been building my confidence little by little. Class #26 was the first time I was able to stand on top of the reformer and do side leg exercises. Class #37 was the first time I could do a plank on the reformer. Each week I worked my core strength and balance, whining all the way, but fortunately the good folks at Bodybar put up with me and never stopped encouraging me, showing me alternative movements and how to work at my own pace.
My hip no longer pops out on me while I'm walking. I have more energy, I have a better mental attitude, I sleep better, I have better circulation, and I smile more. I highly recommend you try it, even if you're overweight, self conscious and embarrassed, don't be!! Just do it, do it for you, do it at your own pace. It's challenging, but I absolutely love it and couldn't be happier!

These people are liars. They tell you they’ll give you your class credit back if an emergency happens . My husband called for me because I got added on last minute from a waitlist and my son got hurt (my son is 2) so I asked him to call to get a reschedule of credit back for my membership and they declined it. I’ll be canceling my membership . I’m extremely disappointed as this was used as a selling point when I signed up that I could get my credits back . I have small children and own my business. So the fact that they’re false advertisers is the worst way to run a business.
I like how I got a response that is completely shaming me and gaslighting . I’ve received credit once before this class. The other credits were because once I was charged a class but it was supposed to be my FREE TRIAL. And also another from what I remember for the apps inability to work. I have a toddler so emergencies do happen. But just as I said, these people are liars . Case in point with the extreme exaggeration to try to save face. I’ll continue to update this review as the lies come in. Their staff is all rude even the owner as you can read by all of her responses to people who are upset. Service recovery needs work. I’ll be locking my card on this franchise. They never even addressed my wanting to cancel my membership in our conversation. Pretty mind blowing, I wish I could include screenshots.

I recently discovered Body Bar Pilates in Pleasant Hill and it’s a fantastic studio! There are a variety of courses and instructors from which to choose, ranging from more traditional Pilates to faster-paced experiences that use a variety of equipment. The studio itself is new, clean, well-ventilated and the owner and instructors are all very knowledgeable, professional and friendly. That there is always ample parking, several shops and a Safeway & Starbucks steps away is icing on the cake! Love, love, love BBP in PH! Thanks for ticking all the boxes!

Best pilates studio in the area! Very friendly instructors and staff, great quality workouts, and nice music. After my second class, I went ahead and purchased an unlimited membership (get the app!) because I loved it so much! I haven’t had the chance to try out each instructor, but I definitely recommend classes taught by Jessica and Rachel. ❤️

I tried this studio out this past weekend and i would give it a five star rating if you’re looking for a good total body workout for strengthening and endurance and balance using a reformer.
The only critique I would give it is that I wish there was feet in straps at the end of session. Didn’t get any flexibility and stretching done.
The instructor was friendly, walked around, correcting peoples forms and providing demo when necessary
Like one of the other reviews said this place seems to be geared more towards athletic practice, but I did the reformer class. Maybe the classic is not the same.
Overall, I had a good experience and would recommend

BODYBAR Pilates is the highlight of my day. As a traveling healthcare worker new to the area, I felt lucky to find this studio, and have enjoyed the myriad of classes offered both before and after work. Appreciative of all their class times available and the wonderful instructors who guide me through excellently crafted workouts.

I have been coming to BodyBar Pilates for about a month now and I can honestly say I love coming here. Prior to joining I had NO experience with using the reformer whatsoever. I have taken a mat Pilates class once over 10 years ago and am super out of shape. I also refuse to go to gyms because I’m super self conscious, so finding a class that made me feel comfortable was extremely important to me. Everyone who works here is phenomenal and so sweet. They even make it a point to learn your name. Classes don’t feel competitive and everyone goes at their own pace. The instructors always offer alternative movements for people who are at different skill levels.
I definitely recommend taking the classic class if you are new to Pilates. Every class we do something new and it never gets too repetitive, even coming 3 times a week. You’ll work out parts of your body that you never even knew you could exercise. It truly is a full body workout (but not overkill). I’m always sore the next day after class and it feels great! It’s honestly something I look forward to during my busy work week. I also LOVE that they offer late 5:30/6:30 classes.

DO NOT COME HERE !
I signed up during the “founder promotion period” and bought the 8 class package . First two weeks were almost impossible to get into classes. I took two classes and was not happy with the class, as well as many other girls I walked out my second class with.
Their classes are not Pilates you are literally using the reformer as a weight, straddling the reformer and tossing the base and catching it as a arm workout and using the removable block to do burpees … NEVER have done that at other studios . There is little to no traditional Pilates movement in these classes . They also make you hold and do the workouts for extensive painful amount of time. Leaving me in pain.
I told them I was going to cancel then got a call from one of the instructors trying to convince me to stay and tell me that i should give the other classes a try because I only took their reformer classes . She also informed me they don’t give refunds so I was forced to use the credits or be out $200, but again.. it was hard to find classes so I was stuck only being able to take two classes for the rest of the month . Now I have 4 more credits in my account that expire in a couple days and they won’t roll it over to the next month . The owner was there during my last class and was RUDE! Horrible customer service.
I’ve taken Pilates for years and left class feeling great! After taking one class I felt frustrated with the queuing (everyone was confused there was no demos for students) the instructors would change the music mid song and just didn’t seem like they knew what they were doing …there was no flow to the class.
I usually don’t leave reviews but I just feel cheated ,scammed , and out $100 .

I absolutely love coming here! This is my first time ever doing Pilates and it has been such a godsend! The staff is incredible and have taken such time and care to show me how to use the reformer and make adjustments since I am three months post hysterectomy surgery. I’ve been here since the opening and already feel a difference in my body. I am moving with more ease, feel more flexible and stronger! I was in so much pain before surgery that I haven’t been moving my body for years. I am so incredibly happy I found Bodybar and the caring team they have there. I’m obsessed with a classical class and can’t wait to try reformer and the many other varieties of workouts they offer! Definitely a must try, they offer a free first class pass! 🙌✨💕

I've never been one who really enjoys excercising but anytime I start trying, I tend to go back to pilates, so I was excited to hear about a new studio opening and take advantage of the free class they were offering. The studio is beautiful and clean but I loved the variety of people, not only in my classes but also working there. Sometimes places like this can make you feel like you need to be a young ballerina to go there but there was a big variety in ages, body shapes and fitness levels :-) Plus, they were all very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Especially the owner, you can tell she's in this business for the right reasons.
