I want to thank Christina and her team for managing such a clean and comprehensive facility! I am new to Pilates and feel completely welcome… Christina’s instruction is detailed and easy to follow - she’s constantly offering suggestions and support to enable my skills to develop. As a beginner, I am able to fully participate while more difficult moves and combos are simultaneously offered for the experienced. Class time passes quickly and I always feel accomplished and well exercised after each session - I definitely recommend BOLD Pilates!

I absolutely love coming to BOLD Pilates classes! When I first started a few months ago, I was brand new to Pilates, but Christina made it so easy to learn the sequences through her thoughtful layering, clear instruction, and expertise. She creates a warm, welcoming, and personalized class for all all levels.

Christina teaches to everybody, offering multiple options to either expand your practice or maintain your current level while still benefiting from the exercises. Each session is a whole-body workout, often with a specific focus on the upper or lower body.

I’ve noticed I feel stronger and better with each class I attend, and I really enjoy being there. I would highly recommend this class to anyone at any level. It’s a wonderful place to practice.

Great studio! I’ve been dealing with chronic lower back pain for a couple of years. Having never done Pilates before, I was hesitant to start. With a little encouragement from Christina, I decided it was time to get stronger in an effort to help diminish my pain. Been going regularly now for two months and must say that I’m getting stronger and stronger. And yes, the back pain has decreased! Plus, I am more confident in the way I move my body.
The classes are still challenging for me but the instructor is extremely knowledgeable and keeps us all quite motivated. The studio is very clean and the atmosphere is comfortable. Try it out! You won’t regret it!

I'm so excited to have Ashley join the team!! Daphne, Ashley and Christina are three of the most encouraging and positive people I know. I'm so glad they are there for us. Their enthusiasm makes me want to hit every Pilates class I can.
I started private Pilates sessions with Christina many years ago but now that she's opened her own studio, I've been taking the group classes. I was always worried that I would feel intimidated by the others in the classes who were stronger or more flexible than I am. I really didn't need to worry. Everyone in class is working to the best of their ability and Christina makes it so easy for each of us to go at our own pace; whether we want more of a challenge or we want to go a bit slower.
I highly recommend Bold Pilates. Once you start working with Christina, Daphne and Ashley, you won't go anywhere else!!!

I have been taking classes with Christina for many years and I can’t recommend her enough. She creates a safe, supportive environment while still offering a challenging workout. The small class sizes are a big plus.-They allow for individual attention, adjustments, and helpful suggestions to ensure proper form. I’m spending my summer in Carlsbad to get away from the impossible heat of the desert. Rancho Mirage is where we live. I’ve been taking Pilates for over 30 years and loving it. When we came to Carlsbad in July , I started looking on the internet for the perfect Pilates class for me. I found Bold Pilates! It is so right for me! Christina, our instructor is amazing! With the correct springs on the reformer, every student can have their very own personal workout. I’m an 80 year old woman with arthritis and rotator cuff tears. I have a lot of limitations yet I can pretty much do what all the younger and stronger students are doing., just on lighter springs! It’s a wonderful concept that really works for me. The studio is new and lovely with 8 state of the art reformers. Christina keeps a watchful eye on every one of us, making sure we are exercising correctly. I highly recommend this Pilates studio to anyone who. wants to keep fit and strong.and have a fun 45 minutes!

Highly recommend BOLD Pilates! After suffering an injury impacting my body and brain, adding Pilates to my decades long yoga practice has been a very positive experience. This is mainly due to the Instructor/Owner, Christina! From the moment I contacted her, I was met with an understanding of my challenges and goals. While I started with great flexibility, I lacked strength and had been instructed by my doctor to build muscle. Knowing I have never enjoyed a traditional gym setting, and had long desired to try Pilates, my expectations are far exceeded! Within a few weeks, my body was transforming, adding muscle and even more flexibility! Christina's instruction is perfection - clear, calming and educational. Christina, the founder of Bold Pilates is a Master Pilates instructor. I started learning Pilates from her about 1 and a half years ago. My goal when I joined was to get stronger in the upper arms and the inner thighs. I have definitely gotten stronger.

I enjoyed a combination Pilates and cooking class. I was the only one unfamiliar with Pilates, but Christina made me feel so incredibly comfortable. I am not one that likes to not know what they’re doing, but I never felt anything but belonging. Understanding my autoimmune health issues, she already had me set up at an appropriate starting level and made it a point to check on everyone. Her calming presence and presentation allows you to relax while you’re doing your body good. Although her quaint studio is a bit of a drive for me, you know when you’ve found the right person and fit, and she’s it. Highly recommend!

I have been taking pilates classes for 6 years with Christina. I have taken classes at other pilates studios and can say by far that Christina is the best of the best. She is detail oriented and makes sure that we are doing each movement properly in order to not get hurt and get the best workout. Christina is both challenging and encouraging. Her workouts have helped me to stay strong physically and increased my flexibility. Give Bold Pilates a shot. You will not be disappointed.

I started taking Pilates from Christina about 10 years ago when I was having lots of problems with my chronic low back and decreased flexibility. I am now 76 years old and although I can’t say I don’t have any back pain, (did I say I was almost 77?) my back pain is much better and I can do things that I couldn’t do when I was younger. Sitting on the floor to play with the grandkids and getting back up is no problem.
Years ago, hiking in the desert with my buddies, I noticed that I couldn’t raise my knee high enough to scramble over boulders. After about a year of Pilates, I was easily lifting my knees and had the power to climb up without problems.
My core strength is particularly stronger. For example, reaching forward to get the folding chairs hanging in my cluttered shed for family events, is a piece of cake.
No muscle group is spared in the class. Arms, legs and core all get a workout. Of course this is all tailored to the individual and respects limitations of each person.
Christina is really expert at giving alternative movements that people can perform in the event of injury or chronic limitations.
Sure, I could probably get a workout on my own, a few times a week with resistance, weight and stretching exercises, but would I? The answer is “no”. I need to have a structured session that I can look forward to, if I really want to stay healthy.

Christina is a highly skilled and knowledgeable Pilates instructor. She is also a delightful person! I have been a long-time student and continue to learn and be inspired by her teaching. She conducts her classes in a way that allows students at different experience and fitness levels to be challenged and motivated. She also knows when to offer alternative exercises and modifications for students who have injuries or pain. Classes are different each session but I always come away feeling strong and energized!

I have taken Pilates from many people but Christina is the best I've experienced so far. She's dedicated, she takes classes to advance her teaching, she's very dedicated. She's very helpful and she works with you one-on-one during the class as needed. Seek her out if you are familiar with Pilates and definitely seek her out if you've never experienced Pilates before.
