I love this gym I trained with Jake Today and had a Chance to train with a few of the other trainers. I always feel so good after I leave. My 🍑 is always on 🔥 by the end of class. Their after care room offers so much benefits. I recommend this gym to all the ladies and of course the guys who are looking to grow glutes. Arms are getting worked but not getting buff just toned which is my goal. If you want to go heavier they that that as an option. It’s perfect for all levels and you’re able to adjust to cater to your goals. I feel so good about myself and am happy I found a Gym Home 🖤🖤🖤

Oside is FIRE! I have never worked with weights and everyone is so welcoming and helpful. I’ve joined a lot of gyms and classes and nothing compares. My husband agrees!! Got him to come to his first free class and he couldn’t believe the work “we” did. He was the only guy of 17 women lifting think he might join now too!!!!!

I took a free trial class and completely fell in love! The lighting is dim and not overstimulating and the music is the best. The coaches are amazing and super helpful and supportive of my injuries and literally have walked me step by step with some of the workouts since I’m newer at working out and not very confident in what I’m doing. They also have stood there and watch me and correct my form & hype me up every step of the way. So excited for this journey!

Chaotic on Saturday mornings. Space is packed and it is total mayhem. You are running around trying to find weights, eating into your time. The music is loud and you can never hear the instructors. The way it’s set up and split into 2 rooms make it difficult for people to follow. You’ll often catch one of the trainers on their phone. I’ve attended a class during the week when it’s a smaller group and much more manageable—that was a much better experience. You can tell the trainers cannot keep up with the number of people (not their fault—perhaps the gym owners need to limit the amount of people per class.) Overall, the gym needs more improvements, and perhaps less people per class, OR an additional trainer to help, and who isn’t distracted. That being said, I do like the equipment and the exercises. I’d say, skip Saturdays, and try to come during the week, mid mornings when it’s less nuts.

So happy I found this boutique gym! Love that I can strength train and utilize the recovery room to relax after workouts (sauna, cold plunge, red light therapy etc.). I used to find weightlifting equipment intimidating but trainers Jake and Sarim made it easy to learn and feel comfortable. The manager Angela is also super welcoming and helpful with any questions I had. Thanks BBB!

Strange that it’s marketed as a women-only gym and yet the owner, manager, and (some) instructors are MEN. If you come here hoping to feel more comfortable, this place isn’t it.

I just love this gym! It’s exactly what I needed. Jasmine is so nice and a very good instructor. She is very patient and helps me out in the workouts. I honestly loved everything about this gym as soon as I entered for the first time. It’s not too big, the classes are 1 hour long and they are hardcore! But it’s worth it because that’s how you’re going to see progress. Receptionist Angela is soo sweet! And Jasmine makes me feel very motivated while I’m in there. Thank you for such amazing instructor and receptionist and just in overall location! So beautiful and clean and well organized. Thank you BBB!

Watch out for this gym’s predatory billing practices. I paid for a one month membership in cash because I’ve been overcharged by gyms in the past. After the month, I received an email saying that they were unable to bill me for my second month (which I never signed up for) and that if I don’t pay, they’ll send my info to collections.
They claim that I signed an agreement for auto-renew, and attached a contract that is NOT my signature. I have NEVER seen that contract, and I would not have signed it because it clearly states the terms regarding auto-renew when I made it clear I wanted to try it for ONE month. When I pointed out it’s not my signature and asked for the copy I supposedly signed, they were unable to provide it… because it doesn’t exist.
This is FRAUD and I’ve filed a complaint to the BBB.

Everyone here is so nice , the instructors are very good and patient. I needed a more structured workout and this fits the bill. You will be pushed out of your comfort zone but that’s how you get results. I look forward to my classes and seeing my progress . Highly recommend.

This gym is the BEST! I love Tami! She’s an amazing trainer and also recommend trying out the body scanning machine they have. It’s very high tech and will teach you a lot about your body (more than just BMI!) .

I worked out at BBB for 7 months and decided to not renew my membership. An all women gym??!! If only all the trainers were women and the owner and manager as well. I learned a lot of new exercises and the classes themselves were great! Emma is amazing, always a great time and great workouts. Seems like I left just in time as things have been changing for awhile and continue to change. When I first started there were only 10 girls per trainer which is great because 1 trainer can only be stretched so thin; when I left they upped the classes to 14 girls per trainer; now that I’m gone, they have 20 girls per trainer!! What?! Unless they are tag teaming, there is no way 1 trainer can help all 20 girls! Basically if you’re a newbie, you might not get much instruction with so many other girls to 1 trainer.
I signed up for Melissa who was so knowledgeable and helped me deadlift 205lbs! Unfortunately by October she was fired and it seemed as tho the owner wanted a certain aesthetic when it came to the trainers even though she had all the experience and knowledge. After that, I cut back on classes a little as some of the other trainers were not my favorite. I hurt my back under one trainer who was too busy having fun with her friends and in other classes it’s almost like you need to be part of the cool girls group to get attention (sometimes). We women come in all different bodies and sizes yet they only show the super fit aesthetic girlies on their socials which is kind of off putting. In the end, Emma was the only one keeping me there and she was worth it.
I guess like all gyms there are pros and cons but this was just my experience.

Booty By Barbells is a dream gym! It’s a private owned, smaller gym and the structure of the workouts are top notch. It’s just been remodeled and looks great! The choice to not use bright, fluorescent overhead lights makes the environment feel more welcoming and calm. It’s a little more dim and looks aesthetic so to speak! If you do the group workouts you will be at each station for a set amount of time and rotate. Since everyone is at their own station you don’t have to worry about sharing weights or working in with someone else. The trainers walk around the room to make sure your form is correct and to assist as needed. The ease of scheduling and laid out weekly plan through the app is enough to make me recommend this gym. It’s so easy and organized to schedule your workout, as you’re able to see what days certain muscle groups are being worked and which trainer is teaching. I’ve never seen another gym do this before and it’s awesome! I usually do workouts with Jen Olague and her classes are great! The workouts are always challenging. She’s also very upbeat, sweet and helpful, which is amazing to have in a trainer. Ari’s classes are great as well! Ronnie is a very involved and interactive owner, which is nice to see as well! If you’re looking to start your workout journey this is the place. The trainers, other girls, modern gym and good workouts all make this place as great as it is!

Do yourself a favor and join Booty By Barbells!!! Taking classes here has become my addiction. I have been a member at BBB since they opened in June 2024 and it has become my second home. The trainers and staff are incredibly kind, knowledgeable and supportive and they truly care about you. I went through some health issues recently and the support and kindness from this team really helped me come out the other side, healthier and feeling better than ever. I just joined a few weeks ago and I am already obsessed! First, the facility is amazing and so clean! You have your own station (literally a dream to not have to constantly share/split weights) but everything you could want or need- they have. It's all brand new and cleaning is definitely stressed. Love to see it. Second, the staff. Kimberly is awesome (no sales pressure and very accommodating) as are the coaches (I see you Tami!) Third, I've been to several classes each week and haven't repeated exercises! The variety and attention to form is so refreshing.I leave every class excited to sign up for the next one :)

I absolutely love this studio! I have not worked out in YEARS and have always been intimidated by the gym. I was nervous to start but this is the perfect solution! I had my intro class in Oceanside with Tami and she was incredible - correcting my form, helping me modify the exercises as needed, and being really encouraging. I couldn’t walk for two days after!! Just got back on the horse to keep the momentum going and Sarim was tonight’s instructor. Another incredible class! He challenged me when he knew I could push myself harder and gave us an overall amazing class. I signed up for the 3 month package and I can’t wait to see how far these incredible instructors can take me!

I didn’t think I’d be signing up for a membership directly after my first free session, but I did because the class was that A1. The classes always change, the trainers pay close attention to your form and are always on standby to help with whatever exercise is in the circuit that day. I am super excited to take other classes and build back my glutes from taking a break from lifting. Very impressed with the coordinating of stability and attention to hypertrophy. I will feel this tomorrow, so it’s good I posted the review before the pain follows. Will be back.

I am staying across the street at the Holiday Inn for work and this morning I saw all of these beautiful ladies walking into the studio with the most perfect behinds and I had to try out at least one class before I left and oh my! BBB has been a GAME CHANGER! In just 6 weeks, my body fat percentage decreased by 3% and my lean muscle increased significantly! I hadn’t done strength training in decades because I was always intimidated with going to the gym and not knowing how to work out. Here, the trainers are amazing at what they do and are super encouraging. Plus, the community of all women is comfortable and supportive. Originally, I was going to just sign up for two days a week and I’m so glad I decided to commit to an unlimited plan and now come to classes 4 to 5 days a week. The General Manager AJ consistently checks in with me to make sure all is going great and he’s been amazing to work with since meeting him on day 1! I love it here and plan to keep my membership going for as long as possible! If you’re considering it, check it out with a free first class. That’s what I did and I’m so happy that I did!

This place just opened up on El Camino across from Winco and Target in Oceanside. And I cannot tell you enough how much I love this place! The location is perfect, so close to my house, easy to park, easy to get into classes, the classes are not crowded, I made a friend in my first class, and my instructor today, Miguel S. was awesome!! Its like private training experience with the personalized attention even in a group setting— but at much more affordable price! I felt motivated throughout my workout and felt the instructor was really watching my back and checking my form. The music is great, the vibe is great, the equipment is great, location is great, instructors are awesome, price is very affordable, it was a no-brainer for me. Come check out a class!

I’ve only gone to Ashley‘s classes so far (by coincidence) but every time it’s been a killer class with such good workouts and the flow is always nice and smooth. There is usually an additional trainer that’s there to assist in making sure your form is good and educating you or giving tips so you've got plenty of motivation. These classes are hard, but rewarding. Waheed does a great job of walking around and correcting form to maximize efficacy and prevent injury. Everyone is supportive, but also, everyone is so focused on themselves that nobody is looking at you (other than the trainer). I highly recommend these classes, even if you don’t feel like you’ll know what you’re doing. My natural inclination isn’t to lift heavy(ish), but as I’m learning more about how important resistance training is for bone density, among so many other things, I’m realizing that this needs to be a part of my life. I’m investing in future me.

If you want consistency, accountability, and to feel stronger I would recommend Booty By Barbells! If you are constantly finding yourself at the gym, doing the same stuff, not sure what to do next, or even just getting distracted/off track easily and not giving it your all in the gym you need to try bbb!!! I was hesitant at first based off the price point but it’s truly an investment in yourself! The workout plans change weekly and you can tell are thought out and planned ahead. It’s a very comforting atmosphere, just the right amount of people in each class and everyone is so welcoming.

I really recommend going to this gym if you want to see improvement! It's a lot of strength training and each day has a different focus. I love how they change the workouts constantly and I feel challenged every time I go. I need help a lot but the trainers always fix my form and the other members are really nice too!
Initially I was only going to sign up for a month and then cancel, because I wasn't sure if it was in my budget, and I was doing other classes simultaneously but I wanted to try out another class. I'm now on month two because I find it worth it!
I love how strong I feel after each class and I especially LOVE the glutes/leg days. They really push you to your limit and make you feel proud of the progress you've made. I can't wait to see how much stronger I feel a few months down the line :)

Never has a gym made me as happy as Booty By Barbell! As a mom looking for something that was just for ME I couldn’t be happier to have found this place. Getting stronger has helped my confidence and mental health so much. The trainers are involved the entire workout to help you with proper form and spotting and they truly know their stuff. Couldn’t recommend more.

Let me start off by saying, I took a long time to review because I wanted to be sure it wasn’t just the honeymoon phase before I praised Booty by Barbells.
I am not naive to the fact that strength training is critical to fat loss, a cardio-only strategy is overhyped, and starving yourself is a huge mistake.
I’ve seen incredible and quick results doing strength-only training 3-4x a week and eating WAY more (but strategically and clean), than when I workout out excessively and ate less. This is exactly why I was drawn to Booty By Barbells. Not to mention it is female focused and class based, but without HIIT as the focal point.
I can say I’ve been a member for over 6 months now and I’m obsessed. It’s the perfect solution for someone who can’t afford a personal 1-1 trainer but wants long term, consistent strength based program and can’t find the internal discipline to show up to do the exercises at a gym. As much as I understand the benefits, I’m just not disciplined enough to force myself through the discomfort and I often take too long between sets. BBB keeps my accountable and pushes me, but also keeps strength training a primary strategy whereas most gyms just try to make you think you’re working hard through HIIT.
I’m going to be completely honest though - I was hesitant at first. I felt like I was a little pressured into signing up for a longer membership and didn’t feel pricing was transparent. I signed up for the 3mo membership and of course time flies. I wish I had done 6 for that extra cost savings but it’s hard to commit that long until you know whether you like trainers, programming and environment. But, I’ve loved it all.
The trainers emphasize stretching and, while it is a group class, they genuinely care about form. You can call them over at any time to form check you and I appreciate that. They push you, once they get to know you especially, which is important. Sometimes it’s hard to track where you left off on weight but they have whiteboards and you can bring your phone to track too.
The facility itself is just an awesome gym to call home for an hour a day. Their classes always run to time, parking is easy, music is loud (and likable) and AC is on when needed. The Class schedule has many options and it’s easy to book through their app. Classes have never been annoyingly full even when they hit their max capacity.
If you’re new to strength training or a gym in general I suggest you take advantage of their free first class - I’ve seen first hand their welcoming energy and even though a class full of badass women seems intimidating at first (as I once felt), it’s a big welcoming community!

At first, renewing my membership was a challenge due to my reluctance to drive to the gym. However, I chose to renew because I truly enjoy being here. The trainers are exceptional; they not only motivate me to push harder but also ensure I maintain proper posture, considering my back issues. This supportive environment has made me grow to love this place, feeling like a valued member of a caring fitness family.

I was invited for a free session and I can’t stop talking about it. Love love love it. The environment is very beginner friendly yet motivating to push yourself to the limit. The staff is very knowledgeable in all aspects of fitness to help you achieve your goal body as fast as possible if you commit to you they commit 10x harder having a support system to thrive was the missing piece for me to exercise with mindfulness to be kind to my meat suit.

I joined Booty by Barbells about a year ago. In this time i’ve gained not only a tremendous amount of strength and a nice peach of a booty 🍑 but also found a great group of baddies that I’m happy to call my friends👯♀️. The trainers are like family and challenge you to meet your goals. Going to BBB is always the favorite part of my day!

I’ve been coming here for 3 months and it’s been great from the start! Everyone is very encouraging towards each other, all of the trainers are very knowledgeable and they’re great about correcting you and/ or assisting when necessary. The flexibility of the schedule and booking system is a huge game changer for me. I feel significantly stronger than when I first started and that alone is a huge win. Very grateful for this team!

I recently started at Booty By Barbells, and in three weeks, I’ve seen a significant difference in my body. I’ve worked out my entire life, and I like change and things that push me, and BBB does! Also, I love the small group aspect. It’s a lot like a 1 on 1 session, but you’re working out with like-minded people who push you harder. The instructors provide personalized instruction to ensure you don’t hurt yourself and your form is good. I love this place. I’m so glad I followed AJ Miller over - his energy is always on fire! The other instructors are fantastic too. I have nothing but great things to say about them all!

I joined this gym at the beginning of this year and all the coaches here are super helpful :) The small group classes are fun, challenging and great for when you don’t wanna have to think about your workout. I had some experience with weightlifting before joining, but the classes and trainers have helped me a lot with fine-tuning my form, improving my strength, and building my confidence with certain exercises that I was not used to doing.

Love this gym!! I hadn’t been able to get back on a gym routine since the pandemic and since starting here I’ve been able to stay consistent because I love it so much and I’m seeing results. They know what they’re doing! The coaches are all really good and always available for questions or to help you out with the exercises. Special shoutout to my favorite coach Waheed! 👌🏼

I was originally going to just take the free class and go LOL- but I enjoyed the class so much that I ended up signing up for the small group workouts. If you’re thinking about it just do it! I personally love the early morning options.
The trainers are great with providing feedback on how to better your form. It’s also just really empowering to workout with a group of strong women. Excited to get stronger and more consistent with my workouts.

When I found this gym on Instagram, I was intrigued… Building my booty through weight lifting is much more on point with my values than getting surgery, so I thought I’d give it a try! Each workout I’ve done is unique, challenging, and fun, they always keep you guessing 😅 I really like the training staff, they are tough but are willing to help me with modifications when I need them. I am hoping to make it to more classes soon!

I have never been super into group workouts, I liked to work out on my own, but I got in a slump. I decided to switch it up and go to Booty by Barbells. It’s been a great decision.

I really like this gym and the trainers. I don't typically like the "class" type workouts, they always feel rushed and like I have to keep up with others doing the same station as me, which usually ends with me hurting myself from not concentrating on proper form and rushing. But this is the best class type workout I have ever done. It actually feels more like personal training because they keep them small. Plus, you are the only one working each station and rotate, they will modify things if you have injuries, and I don't feel rushed, I move at my own pace during the timed set. I really wish I would have signed up sooner. Thank you for helping me find my strength again!!

I knew when I moved to San Diego, I wanted to start taking my fitness and health more seriously, especially growing up in a world where none of my friends or family did much working out or it was avoided. My friend recommended Ronnie’s personal training program 3 years ago and flash forward to today, I’ve learned everything I can from him and his incredible team. He has grown his business into a successful outlet for women to become confident and strong. I still haven’t been to a normal gym because of the motivation, support, and teaching techniques all of these coaches at BBB offer. It’s all ladies, the music is great, you feel comfortable trying out new weights and skills, the coaches cheer you on, the walls are trendy for pics, the lighting is usually pink, and you get to build a great body on top of it?! What more could you need! Huge shoutout to the 6 am crew of coaches and friends who work out daily to get me started for my busy work days ahead. Can’t recommend booty by barbells enough!

If a perfect gym existed, it would be booty by barbells! I have been working out here for over a year and I have seen major improvement in my strength, mobility and overall weight lifting knowledge. I have tried so many different gyms and classes over the years, and this is the first gym I actually look forward to going to. They make it easy to create consistency and routine, which is imperative! So glad this gym exists!

Let’s just say after my first class, I signed up for 6 months! I’m new to lifting and I was nervous but all the coaches are so helpful and don’t make me feel dumb for not knowing how to use some of the equipment. After a week and a half I’m already so much more comfortable and pushing more weight than I thought I’d be able to! Ive tried all the coaches now and all are great, helping with form and pushing me! I cannot wait to see where I’m at in 6 months! 10/10 recommend!

I wanted to get back into regular workouts after only doing dance cardio for the past year or so. The gym was always so intimidating for me and now after starting here I love working out! I wish i could give this a thousand stars!! Hands down the BEST private gym in all of San Diego. The coaches are amazing, very helpful, motivating, supportive, and not intimidating AT ALL. I didn't know anything about weight lifting before starting here, and I've been a member for about a year and a half and fitness is a huge part of my life now! I've learned so much that I'm now able to help my friends with their fitness journey. This place has transformed my body and my mindset. I am the most confident I've ever been, I have a healthy relationship with food and the gym because of the support I've received here, it really is more than just a gym! I've also met some great friends here, all the girls in the classes are so sweet and welcoming. I cannot recommend Booty by barbells enough, it is SO MUCH FUN. I have been going here consistently for the past 2.5 months and am loving it! A few things I love are 1. the trainers are all welcoming, motivating, and knowledgeable (and have their own unique specialities- strength, mobility, nutrition, etc). They push me and make me want to be better & stronger. Can’t thank them enough for helping me get my form down. 2. The facility is clean and has nice equipment, it’s been great to learn how to use the machines correctly and confidently. 3. The overall atmosphere is positive and uplifting (and a vibe!). They have created the greatest community. Overall, I have started to feel stronger both mentally and physically in this short amount of time, and have created discipline within myself. I recommend this to anyone who is getting started in weight lifting, or experienced people who just want some extra critiques on form.
