I worked with Eddie for the Team Challenge. He is a very knowledgeable coach. He challenged us to lift weights beyond what I thought possible! He really knows how to use the machines and how to motivate people!

They never clean the gym floor. If you see the floor when sunlight comes in through the window, you will see a lot of dust and trash everywhere. I better look for different gym asap.

I am 70 years young and have joined the Y several weeks ago. I look for group classes to motivate and make connections with my like minded classmates. Our instructor Eddie is welcoming and inclusive in his instruction. I appreciate his highly motivating style and education of the body. Please consider expanding these type of classes. Thank you.

Went to go take a covid test I never got my results back and even though they say it's free they still ask you for medical insurance smh this is unacceptable, really un professional, and a waist of my time I really was counting on my results for my job but never got them so I had to go and buy one smh.Never again

This is embarrassing what they have chosen to do to this Gym. Precovid, this Gym was thriving and was just starting an upgrade. Since then, the pool has never reopened and the hours have been cut. It is tragic that the YMCA has chose to basically abandon this community. They quickly opened in more affluent areas during the pandemic while choosing to make this a covid triage which I'm sure they made a profit on collecting taxpayer money. Just another typical move in San Diego to not address the southern part of the county. This was one of the last YMCA gyms to reopen and when they did open, it was outside of the no initiation fee window they offered to rejoin after covid. So they want full membership and initiation fees to become a member again for a gym that is open during small windows of the day and only for a few hours on the weekend. This was one of the only full length swimming pools in the South Bay that served anyone west of the 805.

The visit was great. Mrs. Jeniffer and Mrs. Claudia was knowledgeable and friendly. They gave various options for sports/ activities for our children. In person membership process is recommended. Pool is under renovation. Overall, I will return.

Overall great gym. Border view should get another Bench Press and a Bench or table outside. Whats up with these messed up opening and closing times? Hopefully they can add and fix some stuff but border view still gets a 4 star imo.

This was the location of my covid-19 vaccine. The organization was great. There were people arriving without the proper documents. Yet the staff treated them fairly and rapidly. The time waiting was reasonable compared to the people present. The YMCA was very clean and well organized. Congrats 🥳 for providing this great service to our community.

Really old equipment and free weights, the weight room really needs to be remodeled, this is unacceptable, theres only ONE bench press and no variety. The ymca at Rancho San Diego is a 5 star, but this one is unacceptable.

I think the swimming instructors are competent but there should be proper communication by announcing to all parents at the waiting area before the swim class starts whether to combine classes or not because an instructor did not show up . Today, individual parents had to go to office and ask their manager about the stage 2 classes. I suggest better communication to avoid confusion among parents and the children.

Great customer service service. Trainer's are awesome with perfect timing to train clients. I personally was explained by a very good trainer named Erick. He told me how to used a machine & what is used for. Also, he motivated me with positive words. He schedule me onother appointment after my first week going to YMCA to see how I'm feeling. Finally I really felt satisfied and part of the Family, no doubt it is a 5 Star.

Everything! Their professionalism, dedication, the respect that they have with the students and their parents. The fact that they were organized and well prepared. They demonstrated that they were there and still are there for the students and that they put the students safety and we'll being first before anything else. The YMCA BOLT program is the best thing that we had in our San ysidro schools for a long time. We would be happy if they were back! !!

Had been going since they opened now I moved up north , but I was really happy with this location. Everything is kept very clean, my kids loved the child care ladies and gents, and it was a great place to workout that never got too crowded. The most I ever waited for a machine at peak hours was less than 5 minutes ! Keep up the great work :)
