I highly recommend BossFit for anyone looking for personal training, strength training, or a supportive gym community. I started personal training with Ella Hall in the spring of 2025, and it was one of the best decisions I've made for my health. After years of burnout, I needed a program that would help rehabilitate my body, rebuild strength, and support hormone balance.

Ella customized every training session to my needs and goals, and she was incredibly encouraging. She checked in after workouts, helped me understand my form, and supported me as my body adjusted and began the recomposition process. Her guidance made a huge difference in helping me stay consistent and prevent injury.

After several months of one-on-one training, I had the strength and confidence to join BossFit's group fitness classes, which are excellent! All the trainers are knowledgeable, motivating, and attentive. The owners, Mario and Stephanie, have clearly put a lot of care and intention into what they've co-created. It truly shows in the positive environment and healthy, welcoming community they've cultivated.

I started working out at BossFit in October 2024. Before joining, the only real exercise I got was hiking every day, which I loved, but I knew I needed more. I had tried other gyms in the past, both on my own and in group classes, but nothing ever really clicked.

I had spinal fusion surgery when I was 18, twelve years ago (I am now 30) and I work as a wedding photographer, constantly carrying heavy gear. Between the physical demands of my job and wanting to build long-term strength after surgery, I knew it was time to take my fitness seriously. That’s what brought me to BossFit.

At first, I started personal training with a friend because I was honestly too nervous to join on my own. From that very first week, I was hooked. The trainer made me feel heard, supported, and completely comfortable. For the first time, it felt like I had found a space that truly worked for me and that my body actually needed.

Now, almost a year later, I can't imagine my life without this routine or this community. Not only have I gotten stronger physically, but I’ve also met the most amazing people during my time here. I know a lot of people hesitate to join a gym because being the new person is intimidating, but I promise, once you get past those first few weeks, you’ll be so glad you stuck with it. This is by far the most welcoming, kind and fun gym environment I've been in before.

Working out has gone from something I felt like I should do to something I genuinely look forward to. It doesn’t feel like a chore. It feels like a privilege to train here with such an incredible group of trainers/members. Worth every single penny!

I’m so glad I found Boss Fit! They offer options for all fitness levels, including 1on1 personal training and small group classes. I especially love their strength training classes. The programming is well thought out, and the workouts are effective and challenging. I'd consider myself pretty proficient in my form, yet I am constantly learning from the trainers here which is a testament to the quality of their team. It's so nice being able to show up to class and know that I'm going to get a great, structured workout. Plus they have a recovery room that is free for members, which includes all sorts of recovery devices.

I started with BossFit about a year ago. I’ve never been a gym person but the community offerings that this space shares got me in the door. Once I was there I couldn’t believe how much I actually enjoyed lifting weights and the strength I’ve found.

The trainers at Boss Fitness are exceptional. They’re knowledgeable, motivating, and really take the time to understand your personal fitness goals. Whether you’re new to working out or a seasoned athlete, they tailor programs that challenge you and keep you progressing. The variety of classes offered is also a huge plus, ranging from intense strength training to relaxing yoga sessions, so there’s something for everyone.

If you want “just a gym”? Join boss! Get in and out with one hour effective workouts.
If you want “a community”? Join boss! Come to workout and show up to all the other offerings like family blueberry picks, dog park meet ups and community walks/happy hours.

The gym is clean. The workouts are thoughtfully curated. And I always leave feeling more athletic and focused than I am, ha! 10/10 for bossfit!

I have done two Boss Fitness programs; Hypertrophy and the Strength program. I loved both programs. It was only three days a week and I was able to see results. I also got good advice on my calorie intake for the program. The three days were upper body, squat and hinge focus but hit several muscle through out the 5 phases. Very pleased!

BossFit is hands down the best gym I've ever joined! The small class sizes make all the difference, allowing for personalized attention from the amazing coaches like Nic, Eden, and Elise. They are knowledgeable, encouraging, and genuinely invested in helping you reach your goals.

I figured out that for myself I am most successful at fitness in a group class setting. I lost "my place" to the pandemic and was a bit aimless for a minute. I am so happy to have found Boss and have been loving the group classes and welcoming atmosphere. While it is not a "women's only" facility it is definitely women friendly ♡

I’m so happy to have found a gym that I call home. I love everything about this place! One of the main reasons I joined was because they offer small group classes, so I still feel like I’m getting the individual attention that I need but without paying the cost of a personal trainer. The owners Steph and Mario are some of the nicest and most welcoming people I have ever met! Bridger, Keighty and Elise are all so sweet and just so amazing at what they do and they always play the best jams! And the head trainer, Eden, is such a gem!!! She is the mastermind behind all of the strength classes, which I love to hate and hate to love.. lol! And her Saturday classes are the worst, but in the BEST way possible! The workouts can be challenging, but the trainers will ALWAYS give you options to modify, so don’t be intimidated by what you see on social media, I promise you this gym welcomes ALL levels! I started off a complete newbie to using a barbell, and I have grown to Iove it and am so proud of myself with how far I have come, in terms of strength and endurance. The people, the sense of community/family, I just love that everyone looks out for one another and feel so lucky to have found this place!! Go check it out! I promise you, we will welcome you with open arms!

Absolutely the best gym in Ventura county, and I’ve been to a lot of em! Everything from the beautifully curated space/equipment, expert trainers and amazing community that they’ve cultivated is top notch. I’ve done both personal training and the group classes, and it’s all so worth the investment. The trainers are so skillful and work so hard to help you get to your goals and discover your power. My favorite thing is that they also really focus on balance, sustainability, and fun!

I’ve never been a ‘group fitness’ person, and was hesitant to try a gym that doesn’t offer open gym time - but I have been properly put in my place. I cannot say enough about how much I appreciate this place. Smart programming, excellent trainers, a beautiful space and fun community members make the Boss experience so much more enjoyable (and EFFECTIVE) than my old workouts on my own.

Boss Fitness is not just a gym, it is more like a fitness community. I have been working out there since 2018 and it never disappoints. The trainers and staff are TOP NOTCH and have a genuine desire to help you meet your goals while they motivate you to do more than you thought you could. I was out of the area for about 18 months for work and came back to the Boss Fitness as it exists now, a big change from their roots across town. To be honest, I was worried that it might have lost some of its personal feel as it scaled up but those concerns were immediately put at ease. When I came to my first session back with Mario, I was greeted by Elise as soon as I walked in. While I was warming up Bridger and Max both made a point to come over and introduce themselves to me as I was a new face to them. I knew right then that Boss Fitness was just as awesome as it was when I left in early 2020.

Boss Fitness has high quality equipment that matches the caliber of the staff. You will never be bored when you work out there and the entire experience is off the charts.

I train there twice a week. I have taken some classes too. My strength is improving dramatically and I am reaching my goals and setting new ones. When I am there, I feel like I am with family. I can't recommend this place enough!

I have never been much of a "gym person" although I thought I might try out Boss Fitness after I met Steph, one of the owners who is the kindest person!! I started doing classes and personal training at Boss Fitness about 8 months ago and I LOVE it! I started with their The Boss Build UP Program for postpartum fitness which was amazing! Now I do personal training with Elise (she's incredible and just so nice!) and classes about 2 x week. I have learned so much and the trainers make weights seem so much less intimidating than I originally thought they were. All of the trainers are so sweet and fun. I always feel so strong and happy after my classes and sessions at Boss Fitness! Plus it is in such a great location and the decor is so tasteful!

I started at Boss in 2018, wanting to focus on strength training as I was not making any progress on my own. I had been more focused on weight loss and doing cardio. I started doing personal training with Mario which helped me focus on form and feel confident to join the small group classes. I felt really strong and confident lifting weights. A huge bonus was the community I joined, everyone is really positive and uplifting. I have never felt judged here, even when I have had health problems and body changes. This is really important as it is welcoming and keeps me focused on my goals, to never stop trying. I'm forever grateful for Boss and all the trainers. It has been exciting to see Boss expand!

I started working out with Stephanie at Boss Fitness because of low back and shoulder pain last year. After just a few sessions the pain subsided and I knew exercises to do when it would sometimes creep back in. Plus, I saw positive results in my posture. Everyone there is so friendly. I came to Boss Fitness in November 2018 with a back injury (and many other problems because of it). I used to work out everyday, but my back injury had caused me a lot of frustration and a loss of muscle mass I had never experienced! After my first session with Stephanie, I experienced her deep understanding in the way the body works and her determination to get me to where I wanted/needed to be. I knew she’d be able to help me. It is now June 2019 and I have made leaps and bounds from where I was in November! I have gained so much strength, learned to control my body, am down almost 30 lbs and have changed my mindset when it comes to working out and my lifestyle. I am so grateful for the amazing environment the team at Boss Fitness has created and how their knowledge and determination are helping so many people! If anyone asked me for a recommendation for a gym/personal trainer, I would, without a thought, tell them to go to Boss Fitness!

When I made the decision to start working out, I knew a normal gym would not be the place for me. Thankfully, a good friend recommended Boss Fitness and introduced me to Steph. Two years later, I still look forward to Steph's crazy workout and sweating with my friends/workout family. Steph takes my goals and needs into consideration when she formulates a workout program and is extremely encouraging.
