Breakthrough is one the best places to begin or continue your fitness journey. It may be considered a gym, but it has nothing of the typical "gym culture". No judgement, no egos, and no pressure. Caleb, Katie, and RT are great at their jobs. They work around you and what you're looking to achieve. It's the only place I've been able to actually reach my goals. This gym has made me enjoy working out, and the best part is that it's family-owned—they make you feel like part of the family. Even if you don't read any further about what this place has done for me in just a month, know that when you join, you'll be treated like family and achieve your fitness goals!

Playing sports in college I was always motivated to get stronger but after that it was hard to stay motivated to workout because going to the gym and lifting was so boring for me. I’ve paid a couple times for personal training at chain gyms and they focus on getting your muscles bigger rather than keeping your body healthy and athletic.

I was very skeptical about joining because I was tired of paying for personal training that was basically just lifting weights for specific muscle groups, rather than functional workouts that actually support overall health. I took a risk, and it’s been the best decision. My goals were to become more athletic and reduce joint pain. It’s only been one month, and I’ve already seen so much progress. I’ve never been this happy about a gym—it’s brought back my love for working out.

This place is the best and I promise you, you’ll have a blast at the workouts and won’t regret becoming a part of their family!

It's been almost a year since I joined Breakthrough. It's one of the best decisions I've ever made. Working at my desk & sitting all day, hurting my back and getting older, I knew I needed to start doing something & gyms are not for me! A friend recommended I check them out. This is seriously the best gym ever. It's not even like a typical gym, it's something magical. You walk in and immediately the energy and positivity of the coaches uplifts your mood, no matter how tired you may be before starting. The coaches are the best, so supportive and they personalize your workouts to really adjust to your needs and your goals. They also pay attention to whatever is aching or hurting in your body and help you strengthen and work on those areas. I'm in my late 40's and wanted to learn how to lift heavy but also safely and with guidance, and this is exactly that. I'm so grateful a place like this exists in my area and that I happened to stumble across it. Highly recommend!

I was going to wait until I had been here a little longer to write a review, but I can't help myself! My experience in just this first month has been extraordinary and I only imagine it getting better from here. I've been practicing yoga for 15 years and loving it, but I was wanting something more, both in terms of physical exercise and a regular practice to boost my mood and outlook on each day. I've always been hesitant around gyms because of my long history with eating disorders, body comparisons, and taking things to extremes. When I browsed the BSF website and resonated with everything they were about, it almost sounded too good to be true. Turns out, it's 100% authentic; they are what they say they are and so much more. Kati was so warm and welcoming during our first meeting and was sensitive and responsive to the concerns I expressed. Within days of the assessment I was training 2x/wk at 6am with the most delightful, upbeat group of fellow early-birds. Kati and RT have been so accessible and thorough in explaining the details of the movements which are mostly new to me. I tired my first Endurance class with RT and Chana the other day and loved it, so will be adding that to my routine. Also, Kati's Yoga Tune-up classes are phenomenal and have opened me up to a whole different side of yoga. She is so skilled at breaking down poses and explaining exactly what different muscles are doing in each. I can't express how grateful I am to have found this place. I've been talking about it to everyone I know whether they ask or not; it's just too good to keep to myself!

Hi, can't say enough about this place, it's basically perfection for this 61 year old woman! They have great attention to detail and really focus on what I need for my body and don't take a "one size fits all" mentality. Its so important as we age to really do what is right for you and your body, and they are great and supporting you at your personal goals. Also, a great atmosphere to work out at. To encapsulate all that Breakthrough Strength and Fitness is in one review would be near impossible and would also be an extremely long review! So I’ll just say that I started Breakthrough 10 years ago after going to multiple gyms and always being unimpressed by the trainers and equipment.
It's a smallish family run business which makes them more invested, so consequently everyone that goes there is treated like family. And everyone that trains there is warm and welcoming. Each trainer has their own "strength" and together they make an incredible, invaluable team that has a depth and breadth of knowledge that is way above any other gym I’ve been to. They are extremely knowledgeable when it comes to nutrition, fitness, injuries, and so much more related to health, fitness and well-being in general. I always look forward to my workout. There’s consistently a new challenge and something to learn; whether it’s a technique adjustment or nutrition advice from Kati, injury prevention help from RT, or guidance on biomechanics from Caleb. Whether you’re a stunt person, someone with an injury, an athlete, older, or have never been to a gym, this is a place to learn and grow. Not just to learn about how to lift a barbell correctly or how to do a correct chin up, or how to swing a kettlebell; but to learn about yourself and what you're capable of doing.

I wanted to update my review. It’s now over a year later and I am still doing my workouts and I am stronger than I have ever been. I have participated in the many fun challenges like outdoor adventure team, or tactical strength challenge. It keeps the workouts varied and fun as well as pushing myself to new goals. I have also made friends awhile are super supportive and working out along side them really helps.

I had been looking for a way to get stronger and recover from the isolation of Covid. I couldn’t really imagine going back to a crowded gym and I found Breakthrough online. I immediately liked that the website had people on it who looked like me. I went in and met with Kati, who owns it with her husband Caleb. These are two of the most positive, encouraging people on the planet! As someone who is intimidated by gyms, I immediately felt at home here. They really looked at my life and my goals and have tailored a program for me. I am excited to go and have kept it up for more than two months without missing a workout! I like small group training, it feels safe and supportive, everyone is really nice, it feels like a community.

What can I say about this wonderful gym. One of my trainers contacted me to say I would probably benefit from the program that Breakthrough Fitness recommends for each individual. Having spinal problems in my past and now a knee replacement, my coaches have the best knowledge to show me how to handle the different changes and challenges I come across. And everyone's body might need a different program which is the brilliance of what this gym represents.

Since training at Breakthrough when they first opened in 2015 until today, I have gained and maintained strength through all of my personal ups and downs. When I’m struggling, the coaches give me a positive perspective and keep me on my personal path to maintain strength. That might entail changing the program or working with where my body is today, and it’s still strong stuff no matter what. I’ve been training at breakthrough since i was 16 and it’s been one of the happiest places for me to be! I've been a member of this gym for years now, and I can honestly say it’s been a game-changer. The personalized attention here is unparalleled. From day one, the trainers took the time to understand my fitness goals and have designed programs tailored to my specific goals.

I started going to Breakthrough in December 2023 and it has made such a difference in my life! I wanted to repair the damage done to my body from years of neglect/mistreatment on my part, a couple of car accidents, being hyper mobile and extra clumsy, plus two pregnancies & c-sections. When I first started, I couldn’t even get up from sitting on the floor without having to use my hands to help me! Now, 7 months later, I can squat 100lbs! The trainers are all amazing and they have helped me learn how to work with my body and all its quirks. I cannot say enough great things about this gym and the members who go there. I am so grateful for finding the Breakthrough Strength & Fitness training community and amazing coaches! For years, I have focused on cardio exercise and always thought that was what made you healthy and strong. However, after going through an ACL replacement surgery and having years of continued instability and use of a knee brace when playing tennis, I found a training program that really makes me strong and confident to trust my knee on hikes, on the tennis court and in all ways. I no longer use a knee brace and am a very proud 5 year strong member of the Breakthrough gym. This has been an amazing investment in my life and wellness. I found Breakthrough when I wanted to get back to working out in a gym setting when COVID was settling down. Am I ever glad that I did! They offer personal strength training developed just for you in a semiprivate space with access to endurance, yoga, and boxing classes. The coaches are excellent, knowledgeable, and know how to challenge you in a fun and supportive way. Kati, RT, and the rest of the coaches listen to what you tell them about how you feel and make adjustments when they are needed. I have met many wonderful people of all different ages and look forward to the time I spend working out. Before Breakthrough I didn't feel strong. I didn't look strong. I was still recovering from a badly twisted ankle and not feeling excited that my 39th birthday was around the corner. Just that all around feeling of blaahhhh and I refused to go into my 40s still feeling like this, if not worse.
My friend had been training with her coaches for a few years by then and would talk about how strong she felt and shared some of the things they did and the PRs she accomplished. I wanted in so in August 2015 I became a member of Breakthrough.

Coach Caleb and Coach Kati (husband and wife power team and owners) gave me a mobility assessment and wrote my first personal program geared toward my goal at the time. Once that program was finished I received my new program and then another program. Kettlebell programs, barbell programs and stretchy strong programs. Each new program reflecting my progression in strength and confidence. Before I knew it I was hitting PRs. My fellow trainees were also hitting PRs. We were doing it together! Fast forward to 2024 (9 years already?!?!) and we're STILL getting stronger together. Setting goals together. Celebrating together. I can't tell you how much this gym has changed me both mentally and physically.
You'll just have to give them a try.

Best Gym ever-would be an understatement! You get personalized programs, fantastic workouts, and a wonderful group of fun/positive people. The coaches are extremely knowledgeable and in my opinion, are better than most physical therapists. My body has been through a lot of trauma, and they've helped me get back to 100%. Approximately four years ago, I made one of the best decisions in my life, and that was to become a member of the Breakthrough strength and fitness. The gradual improvements that I’ve been able to make in my strength, agility, flexibility, overall fitness and general health have been tremendous. No matter what your age or physical condition, they will work with you at your level and help you increase your mobility and fitness. In addition, this is a FUN, supportive place to be! I really look forward to my sessions and my training partners, who are, or have become friends. I have been training here since 2015 when they opened at this location. I am a fit, healthy 71 year old. I train at least two days a week, play golf every week and play in tournaments throughout the year. My wife began training at Breakthrough Strength and Fitness several months before I joined, and she regularly raved about her enjoyment of their program and the fantastic couple who runs it, Katie and Caleb, along with other members of their extended family. Truly, I'd never before seen my wife so enthusiastic about gym workouts——it was always a chore, but now she was having fun. Not only that, it was clear to me that the way she was being trained was having a dramatic and rapid impact on her health and fitness.

While she certainly encouraged me to "check out her gym," she didn't need to pester me. It was obvious from her results and what she shared about Breakthrough's methodology that it was a good option for me, too. I just had to get off my behind and go. I'm glad I did.

Katie and Caleb take a personalized approach to each of their clients. They asked us plenty of questions about our needs and goals, and they paid close attention to the mechanics of our bodies. For example, I have a problem with really tight hamstrings and a tendency to get back spasms. As a result, Caleb and Katie designed my workouts to avoid a spasm in the short-term, and reduce or eliminate them over the long-term.

My wife had back surgery several years ago. In that light, Breakthrough Strength and Fitness designed workouts for her that are safe but that also allow her to build strength--especially in her core in order to provide more support for her back.

One of the best things about Breakthrough Strength and Fitness is that it is friendly and the staff meet their clients where they are, whether one has plenty of experience working out in gyms or whether one has never exercised in a formal way before. From day one, Caleb, Katie and family made us feel like we are part of a team, and our goal is to reach an optimal state of fitness and health while having fun doing it.

One of the best decisions I have ever made. I have always been active, but having a purpose built and customized training program and the support you get from the coaches makes all the difference.

I've been training here for almost 4 years now and what an amazing transformation it's been! The coaches are Strong First certified and pride themselves on creating a friendly and super supportive environment for all levels of fitness. I went to the kettlebell swing Workshop. I've never done one before in my life. Who would have thought I would been learning to do one at 57 years old? I have hip and knee trouble and was hoping to strengthen these muscles. All three coaches were very involved in the workshop. They are very knowledgeable, very helpful, very upbeat and supportive.
