British Swim School offers swimming lessons for kids and adults, starting as early as 3 months. Located inside 24 Hour Fitness, we're open year-round and welcome both gym members and non-members. You can learn to swim when you’re ready and continue until you’ve mastered the skills. We use gentle teaching methods and a survival-first approach to help swimmers of all levels become safer and more confident in the water. Our safe, fun, and effective teaching methods have made us the preferred choice for parents and students for over 40 years. Our confidence-building curriculum and small swimming classes provide a consistent format and structure with one-on-one attention for each swimmer. Private swimming lessons are subject to availability.

My grandson is enrolled in their program, I can say the program has been very excellent so far. There are many great instructors with great attitude and they are very patient as well. The deck watcher Jacob has been excellent with great customer service and any trouble I had or questions he answered happily. I would recommend parents to British Swim School as they are awesome at what they do.

I’ve joined my son here. It took just two days for us to decide this is not the place where we want to send him. The pool temperature is supposed to be in the 80s. They maintain it at 70s even below. The kid comes out suffering and their answer is we are trying to fix it but having a hard time working with 24 hour fitness works. I tried to cancel them they didn’t and they’re giving a super hard time to cancel. Save yourself from all this headache and go elsewhere. This area has so many nice academies this place is not worth it. I’ll work with my bank to see what I can do. This is cheating because they haven’t provided the service that we signed up for. Apparently, rules only apply for cancellation, but not for the quality of service or the environment that they are supposed to provide.

Disappointed with my experience at British Swim School San Ramon. I was excited to enroll in their adult summer special (3x/week classes), which was clearly listed on their website. But after registering, I got a call saying the offer was only for kids. After an hour of back-and-forth where the agent had to ask the manager for every small decision, they finally said I wasn’t eligible unless I paid extra. The process felt disorganized, unclear, and unprofessional. Definitely not the customer experience I expected.

Great experience thus far, instructors are good and make my child feel comfortable around water and give him confidence to learn how to swim. We have tried other swim classes in San Ramon and this one has definitely been better than the rest. We are in a private 1:1 class, Dolphin Level 1.

I wanted to provide my review regarding my child’s recent swimming lessons. My 5-year-old is scared of water, and despite attending multiple sessions, he wasn’t able to get into the water. While the instructor did try to encourage him, their attention was often diverted to other students, which left my child without the focused support he needed.
Additionally, the facility was not ideal. The class took place in a single lane of a busy gym pool, with other gym members swimming in the remaining lanes, which was distracting. The changing area was just a makeshift tent, which didn’t feel appropriate for young children and parents.
I was also disappointed with the strict non-refundable policy. Even though I wasn’t happy with the facility after the first class, I had no choice but to continue bringing my son for the whole month since no refunds were allowed. This policy, combined with the overall experience, made the situation more frustrating.
I hope you consider these points to improve future classes and customer satisfaction.

This has been a great place for our son to learn how to swim and work through the different styles. I like that the classes are small so each kid gets attention. The teachers have all been great to work with at the San Ramon location.

Everyone is super nice and easy to work with. Kids loves them as they don't have 2000 levels just a few that make total sense. The venue is nice. It's inside a gym, so if you're bringing kids, you can work out at the same time too.

Great facility! Amazing Instructors! My five year old started with British Swim School located in 24 hr Fitness, San Ramon and she is enjoying it a lot and learning alot from the instructors. Their teaching techniques as per age and level of skill is brilliant. Great job guys! Keep up your amazing services!
