We absolutely love British Swim School. The staff is always so kind, patient, and helpful. We truly appreciate everything they do. Our daughter is only 2, but she’s becoming more comfortable and confident in the water with each lesson. It means so much to see her progress in such a caring and supportive environment. Thank you to the entire team!

This is the worst swimming school my daughter has ever attended. We were part of British swim for one year. I'm happy my daughter learned how to swim but other than that I do not recommend anyone to go with British swim.
They have different instructor every week. I have shown up to class 3 to 4 times and it was canceled last minute due to instructors traffic status or personal emergency.

Class last up to 30 mins for $275 monthly. Not to mention the times they would cancel class last minute due to pool emergencies. Don't waste your time and money with this school.

I enjoy coming here. I would say I wish there was a better way to know where the particular groups would be. If there was a parent who was coming for the first time they wouldn't know where to go, but overall my experience is one of the best here.

Maria is an amazing instructor & my kids love her!
She has gotten my daughter from being terrified of the water, to now jumping in and floating on her back. We are so pleased with British Swim School & their Instructors.

I have enjoyed my son swimming at this school. At the El Cerrito pool and the Richmond pool.
In regards to customer service on the phone side, they don't do the school any justice. They take forever on answering questions or even getting back to the customer.
The owner needs to include their staff who work on "the deck" in meetings for understanding what customers are talking about.
The policies they have in place are difficult when you have kids. You need to call 24 hours in advance to cancel a class if your kid is sick.

My daughter loves her swimming lesson. She is always asking me if it's almost Saturday!!!
We can see how much she enjoys to be in the water since she started taking her class, she feels also more confident. We really like the teachers, they are fun and gentle and most important my daughter feels safe with them.

Last week we had a little accident with one of the new teachers, so I decided to call them to speak to them. They were really nice, they listened to my concerns and they made me feel safe again. They also gave us a special make up class for my daughter 😊

Called to get some classes to improve my 10year old's technique to get her ready for a competitive team.
It was suggested she start with the three year old's to build her confidence.
I pointed out that she was already a good swimmer . He suggested moving her up to the 5 year old's.
$50 per 30 mins with up to 5 kids. = $500 per hour.

Our 2 kids 3 and 5 go to British Swimming School in Richmond weekly. They adore their teachers, and their progress in getting comfortable with water and safety skills has been impressive. I really love how the teachers are so patient with the kids -- they always can't wait to go to class. We look forward to continuing with the school!

I found British Swim online, we've been attending for 4 weeks now and so far so good. There's a $50 membership fee, and classes are $49 per lesson and billed monthly. Upon joining we received a welcome kit with a cap, sippy cup, ball, towel and reusable bag. This is a little pricey in comparison to others but worth it.

Facilities are very clean and well kept, vaccination required for ages 12+ and mask required when not in the water.

My son is 16 and a half weeks this is the only place I found that accepted babies at 3 months and he's already doing so well, 4 lessons in he's already doing great with submerging. No tears no fears. He's becoming well acclimated with the water. His instructor Caitlin is awesome, she's been very professional and nice. We also worked with Ignacio he was warm and polite.
