British Swim School offers swimming lessons for kids and adults, starting as early as 3 months. Located inside LA Fitness, we're open year-round and welcome both gym members and non-members. You can learn to swim when you’re ready and continue until you’ve mastered the skills. We use gentle teaching methods and a survival-first approach to help swimmers of all levels become safer and more confident in the water. Our safe, fun, and effective teaching methods have made us the preferred choice for parents and students for over 40 years. Our confidence-building curriculum and small group swimming classes provide a consistent format and structure with one-on-one attention for each swimmer. Private swimming lessons are subject to availability.

We love the British Swim School! Our daughter started when she was 7 months old and they have done such an amazing job at promoting her growth in the water! We love Marley she is such an amazing instructor! She explains what we are promoting in each exercise and gives us tips on what we can do anytime we are with our little one in the water! We are so happy we enrolled!

We love British swim school and have seen the progress of our son from when they first opened in east Pasadena. He has leveled up to shark 1 throughout the entire program. We are happy with his year round swim classes and now feel confident with him in anyone’s pool at home or hotels. I recommend BSS to all my friends wanting to be committed to learning various swim strokes!

British Swim School has played a huge role in my son’s development and confidence in the water. From the very first class, we’ve been impressed by the thoughtful approach to water safety and the way foundational skills are introduced in a way that’s fun and age-appropriate. We love British Swim School! My daughter hadn't had swim lessons before and was timid when it came to being in the water. Having personally had a bad experience in swim lessons as a child, I didn't want her to run into the same experience. So I was looking for a class that helped with addressing fears in water if it came up and instructors who would be patient and encouraging. The best part is their focus on water safety and survival skills first and foremost before working on strokes. It's been less than a year and my daughter has reached the Turtle 2 level and she feels confident in the water and LOVES to swim. Every instructor we've had has been kind, patient, and clear with instructions. Brittany (owner) and staff are caring, friendly, responsive, and work with your schedule and changes. The pool is indoors and heated too so we could have lessons year-round. I highly recommend!!

We love British Swim School! I appreciate the safety-first approach to swimming and the water. This summer, while at a friend's pool party, I watched my son navigate a tricky situation in the water - he ended up at the deeper end of the pool and was starting to panic. I was ready to jump in and help him, but then saw him use the skills he learned in class (turned to his back to float) to get him safely to the wall. He felt good that he knew what to do...and so did I! I felt good and grateful. Can't recommend this school enough!
