I've gained more than 50 pounds in the last 10 years. G has really helped me utilizing her Level 2 online coaching plans to help me loose weight in a healthy manner and try to keep the weight off. Her words of encouragement, teaching and ability to help me through my path has been tremendous. I did a consultation today and I couldn’t be happier. I’ve been struggling with some weight loss plateaus and she gave me a whole new eating plan. I was already eating clean, but it just took it up to that next level and I know I’m gonna start losing now. I will absolutely do her program and I would highly suggest her!

Glayol was my first trainer at Crunch fitness back in 2020. I got extremely lucky with her because most of the local gyms bros do not know what they’re talking about. Glayol goes in depth to really understand everyone’s goals, struggles and strengths. I only had the pleasure of knowing her that year until she left Crunch but I took everything I learned and apply it to this day. It’s been 5 years and I still message her on instagram, she sent me words of encouragement when I did a 75 hard. Mind you I have not seen her in 5 years but she still out of the kindness of her heart keeps up with me and shares tips on instagram. I learned how to roll out with a foam roller and have taught close friends how to do this, mobility stretches, when to add weight and take weight off. How I should be eating to hit my goals. I truly admire her passion for health and fitness so if you’re thinking about it. Just do it. She’ll get you where you want to be no matter how old, young, disabled, fearful you are. She got you!! I discovered Glayol through a peer who shared her fitness journey, and I was impressed by her progress. Because I’d been training for years, I’d wanted to be able to guide myself without outside help, but I kept hitting the same obstacles year after year. I decided to give coaching a try. I was also scared of being yelled at by the stereotypically rigid fitness coaches. I shut down when I’m constantly criticized, so I’ve been cautious about seeking more thorough advice. I’m happy to say that Glayol exceeded my expectations by conducting very thorough reviews on my lifestyle and goals, providing lots of positive reinforcement and encouragement, and educating me on the process throughout it all.
I’ve been working remotely with Glayol on the starter plan for about 4 months. Before working with her, I was trying to do too many things at once and was kind of half good at all of them. I felt overwhelmed by online advice and struggled with consistency, focus, and mindset blocks like perfectionism and an all-or-nothing attitude that held me back.
Glayol helped me simplify everything and gave me clear direction with an objective way to track whether I was improving, instead of just guessing. She tracks my progress in the gym and nutrition for me and answers all my questions, so I don’t have to worry or get overwhelmed by the numbers. I also really like the coaching app, which is convenient and probably the best fitness app I’ve tried (MyFitnessPal pales in comparison).

Also, I didn’t even realize I was bloated almost every single day until I started implementing Glayol’s nutrition guidance and began experiencing life without constant bloating.

I started training with Glayol in December 2024 because I felt stuck. Despite trying for a long time, nothing was moving the needle — I wanted to get stronger and leaner, but my real issue was accountability. My job is extremely demanding and reactive; once my day starts, it’s basically gone. I just didn’t have time (or energy) to figure it out on my own. That’s where Glayol came in — and wow, she was exactly what I needed.
The accountability was just the beginning. Glayol watches everything — your weight, your food, the kind of food, your progress photos — all of it. She is much more than just a trainer. Of all of the trainers I have worked with in my fitness journey thus far, G has made the biggest impact for me. What works in your 20s (or even early 30s) won’t work forever! If you had told me in college that I’d be lifting weights to achieve a trimmed and healthy physique, I wouldn't have believed it while reaching for my next “cleanse” or low-carb trend for weight loss. After 2 kids and now heading into my late-40s, it is clear that my body requires a different approach then the typical "decrease in calories and increase in cardio." Loss in muscle mass, hormonal changes and subpar nutrition left me in a constant weight fluctuation of 15 lbs. I thought each new approach for weight loss would stick, but a few months later, I'd see a chubby face again and be stuck with half of a closet full of clothes that didn't fit.
I had thought about hiring a personal trainer for a few years and finally connected with Glayol. Why did I finally pull the trigger? I gained a lot of weight over my twenties and even more after a surgery this year. I believed that getting back in shape after turning 33 was impossible. I felt disconnected from my own body, constantly worried about gaining even more weight, and had no idea where to start. On top of that, I dealt with horrible back pain, a high resting heart rate, and persistent fatigue.
Despite my worries about me being capable of even walking a mile without pain or being able to afford training, I decided to meet with Glayol. When I first talked to her, I told her I was a “couch potato” and never moved, but that was about to change!
I appreciated how she listened to my concerns and made a plan tailored to my specific needs. Her approach is very thorough and personalized, which makes it easier to start making changes. When I began this journey on October 7th, I weighed 175.5 pounds and felt hesitant to even set a weight goal because I didn’t believe it could be possible. Today (seven months later) I have officially lost 30 pounds! I’m beyond happy and proud of what I have accomplished with Glayol’s guidance!
Beyond the weight loss, I’m developing a healthier relationship with food, become more active, and experienced the greatest benefit of all: my aches have disappeared, and my resting heart rate has dropped from 110bpm to 64bmp (which was something that kept me constantly worried).

Coach G is very motivating. She helped me build muscle effectively without the bulk by helping me learn what foods to incorporate and in what amounts. She explains the process in detail so I was comfortable before starting. It proved that you will definitely see results as long as you show up and take her suggestions to heart. I thought I could Google my way to better health and fitness, but working with Built By G proved how much I was missing out on. G provided a comprehensive training plan that helped me stay injury-free, eliminate lower back pain, sleep better, lose weight sustainably, improve my diet, build consistent activity habits, and become more knowledgeable about my body.
I initially came to G because I wanted to build baseline strength and prevent injuries. I had been to physical therapists off and on for various injuries, and I was tired of temporarily getting better only to get injured again. One of the first breakthroughs I had was with deadlifts—I used to feel lower back tightness every time I lifted. G worked with me to adjust my form, and over time, I was finally able to deadlift without any pain.
I also learned how being sedentary at my office job was affecting my health. G introduced me to pairing habits to stay mobile, and I started using a walking treadmill while working at my desk. This small adjustment made a huge difference in how I felt day-to-day.

A few years ago, I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes and managed to bring it down to prediabetes on my own, but it didn’t feel like enough. Before working with Glayol, I was stuck in a cycle of “I’ll start Monday,” but that Monday never came. I had health and fitness goals, like eating heavier protein-based meals three times a day, adding more veggies and fruits, and trying to go to the gym every day at 7 a.m. Realistically, I didn’t have the habits, discipline, or foundation to achieve those goals.
Taking a chance and starting my journey with her, even online, was a complete 180—and I resisted so much. I kept progressing and messing up, but with G’s help, I’ve come to realize that it’s supposed to be hard because, as she lovingly puts it, “something sustainable and long-term is not going to be easy.”
Even though my journey hasn’t been perfect, she’s been there to push me, inspire me, and believe in me when I couldn’t do it for myself. After five months, the progress showed. I started training with Glayol to help with my nutrition and digestive issues, and very quickly into the program, I noticed positive changes. As a college athlete, I’ve always been active and, on paper, super healthy, so I couldn’t understand why I was struggling with constant discomfort and food sensitivities. The issues were severe enough to interrupt my social outings, and I wasn’t sure if it was IBS or something else. I tried countless supplements and regimens to manage the symptoms, but nothing worked. I've followed G on Instagram for a while and finally decided to try her coaching. Before starting, I struggled with staying consistent; I’d get really dedicated to tracking meals and training, but one little change in my schedule would throw me off course.

I have been training with Glayol since January 2021.I am a senior citizen and caregiver spouse for my disabled wife who is confined to a home hospital bed and I had occasionally had pain from lifting her. I was wanting to strengthen and avoid further injuries.Three months into my training with her, I noticed increased strength and flexibility in my daily life.
During the course of my training I have had physical therapy for a few aches and pains and Glayol has always been attentive to my needs and adjusted my workout routines to be compatible with my physical therapy.
Thirteen months ago, I was diagnosed with pancreatic adenocarcinoma and began chemotherapy. Although I have lost strength due to chemo, Glayol has helped me rebuild it, accommodated my training intensity, and given me nutritional guidance throughout my treatment.

She knows from experience what works and doesn't, and dumbs it down to the point where I can eat and be happy.
I love food and to be clear, I used to be afraid of eating "too much." Always in the back of my mind I had thoughts of, yep, gotta feel full and I love that sensation.

This was one of the first questions Glayol ever asked me. My girlfriend had been seeing Glayol for about a month, and I originally went to talk to Glayol out of a desire to support my partner. Eating correct, going to the gym, and staying on track would be easier for her if I knew what to do also.
I’m in my mid 40’s, a devoted father of two teenaged girls who are involved in sports, school and extracurricular activities. I found Glayol on the SMTF website and signed up with her a few months ago to lose weight and prepare for the air force fitness exam.
I told her I was all in – I wanted to train 5 to 6 days a week, my test was in a month, I was ready to swear off fast food entirely to see quick results. I was used to seeing training as punishment, coming from coaches that would give me punishment laps or not allow me to eat certain things. That's the only way I knew how to see results. After having a consultation session with Coach G, I was hesitant to go with an online coaching program as I had the notion it wouldn't benefit me to not have in person guidance. However, I gave it a shot and decided to go with her Level 1 online program.
Coach G modified the program (intensity of workouts and daily calorie intake) to meet my specific needs, goals, and lifestyle. The most challenging part is always the first week of training, learning your ropes. I held myself accountable to follow as meticulously as possible. Her comments and live feedback helped make the process less overwhelming, as she could catch errors I was making or help me estimate food I wasn't sure about. This service offered me an easy way to show her what I'm eating at home. For example, as I am a busy dental student, Coach G created the shopping list for stores near my school, and gave me food recipes, so I did not have to go the extra mile thinking about my weekly meal prep plan. In addition, I had this fear of lifting heavy weights because I did not know my limitations as I suffer from sciatica. Coach G helped me monitor my form first to be able to assess the level of my strength and control. This way, she could suggest to me the range of weights that my body can handle. Emphasizing body form encouraged me to take multiple videos throughout my workout sessions and Coach G provided me with constructive feedback I could follow the next time I come to the gym. This way my workout routine became more productive and personalized over time, and I gained more confidence in myself.
I believe that the online program benefited me in various ways. I not only gained more confidence in exercising and nutrition habits that align with my goals, but also I am able to balance this routine with my busy schedule as little as 2x a week with the option to scale up on weeks I have more time. I highly recommend giving Glayol's online coaching a try if you're busy like me, or not local for her in person programs.

Originally, I tried quite a few different free promos with a variety of trainers at various gyms and nothing was really exciting. Even the technique for the same exercises often varied by trainer. It wasn't until I met Glayol that I started to understand the why and not just the how to do each exercise. She created a very manageable series of 3 exercise sets that I could rotate between each week. They allow me the flexibility to workout in a gym or even workout at home or in a hotel (I travel a lot for work) without any additional equipment.
I purchased a 1 month trial and really enjoyed working with Glayol. I have never consistently trained to failure and my pre-conceived notions about it were wrong. Her workouts are very challenging but could all be finished in under an hour and all of the focused on full body -- another focus I hadn't addressed before. We've all heard about leg day, arm day, etc but when you realize its full body day every time you start your workout, the results come so much faster. In order to "see" physical change, you need to workout each targeted muscle group at least 3 times per week and if you can only work out 3 times per week, then it makes sense to focus on full body each time. Each workout was different and with so much flexibility, it is easy to vary weight or vary reps and still train each muscle group to failure without hurting yourself.
Honestly, you get what you pay for and Glayol is worth every penny; however, as a parent of a family of 6 with everyone wanting to get their gym on, and only one income, it can be financially difficult to have the escalade and sometimes you have to settle for the virtual escalade. This is why after I felt comfortable with the correct technique, I was able to transition to virtual to help offset some of the cost but still be able to have someone keep me accountable.
The best feature is not necessarily a product or service, but a person. Glayol takes the time to get to know her clients which is what really makes her special. She works with you to understand your goals, takes the time to help you create a self-managed plan to get there, and then holds you accountable. When challenges come up, for instance being on a long business trip where you eat out for every meal, she quickly shared a guide on how to eat out smart. The workouts she picked could have come from anywhere but the knowledge that comes with knowing the right techniques along with how each exercise is specifically targeted to the key muscle groups you want to impact, is what makes her approach unique. Equally important is understanding how to prepare your body nutritionally to undertake this transformation. Before the program, I thought I ate pretty healthy, in general, but when she broke down what I was eating and I tracked my food intake for several weeks, I realized that many of the calories I was taking in where out of balance with what was actually needed to reduce fatigue after workouts and to actually prepare your targeted muscle groups for the next workout. I learned that I was actually eating only about 100g of protein everyday and to sustain muscle growth and "see" improvement, I needed to double that without eating twice as much food. We worked out a quick way to get me there and since then I have been averaging about 140-160g of protein over the last few weeks and have been losing about a pound of week while continuing to increase the reps and weight each week.
If your someone who knows they are overdue to get back in shape or you just want to stop using life around you as an excuse, this is the program for you. If you can dedicate 2-3 hours per week to help get yourself back on track, your heart, your body, your significant other, and your kids will thank you because you will be around a lot more. With personalized technique training, proper muscle nutrition, and a manageable plan that allows you to see the results you want, this is the program for you.

I’ve been working out for at least 20 years so as you can imagine, I had a decent amount of experience but I’m always looking to learn and grow and Glayol offered me just that. She kept my goals in mind, I love training for strength and I communicated to her what lifts were priority to me. I've suffered from issues with my back or knees and thought I had to stop specific lifts entirety altogether or train differently.
With her understanding of when to step back versus ramp up my program, that wasn't the case. I could continue doing the lifts I love. Historically, I had the impression I didn't need a coach since I've only experienced them as doing things in a black and white way but Glayol understands that balance of listening to what a client wants for themselves first before programming her clients.
I came to Glayol for advice and she was able to improve my quality of life, recovery, and make minor adjustments without treating me fragile. My body feels strong and capable.
So far I’ve been with Glayol about 3 months and she's in line with what I expect from coaching.
Since being with her, I’ve set new PRs in squat and deadlift and I'm now totaling 1195 lbs.
Sometimes trainers get too hands on with their approach and want to fix too much too soon. There’s a time and place for it. Coaching is a two way street, and she recognizes that.
I would recommend Glayol no matter your experience, even those of you at an elite level.
