Dr. Matt at Cali Performance is THE MAN! His friendliness, and professionalism is all an athlete would hope to expect from their PT. I went to him to help me strengthen my back. I had been babying it for years due to arthritis, and Dr. Matt helped me tremendously. Not only physically, but he mentally helped me push those barriers down that was keeping me from lifting heavier. Moving forward I feel like I have the tools to lift to my potential. He's the man, that is all.

I had hip pain, I wasn’t able to fully extend or was uncomfortable with certain movements until I finally seeked for help and that’s when I went to Cali Performance and what a difference! Matt explained everything to me, the what, why and how and with specific exercises/movements/stretches, I was starting to get better mobility! The best 4/5 weeks I did!

Dr. Matt is the best out there. He genuinely cares about getting you back out into whatever your fitness of choice may be. He is honest about what he think may be causing the issue and how long the recovery might be. I've used Cali Performance for multiple strains and injuries and I wouldn't trust anyone else out there to get me back to performing my best.

Dr.Matt has a plethora of knowledge. I had been struggling with a bum shoulder for months, maybe even a year. Started PT with Dr.Matt and at a month in, I’m already feeling major improvements of ROM and Pain Levels along with an increase in strength. Struggled with chronic low back pain and Cali Performance really helped me out. The combination of manual therapy with corrective exercise was perfect, really helped speed up the healing of my injury. Dr Matt knows his stuff. Also Dr Matt is a very fun guy to work with and likable. I have also seen him take care of some of my friends with other issues like shoulder etc. 10/10 would recommend!

My Fiancé went to Matt for a back injury, he listened to his concerns and with massage/ exercises within 2 visits his pain improved tremendously. He is very knowledgeable and explains things thoroughly. He was available for any questions we had and responded promptly.

I attended Dr. Matt's clinic on shoulder pain. The amount of useful information provided in the two hour clinic, hosted by Dr. Matt, was well worth the money. The structure of the clinic was well thought out and expertly planned. He started by explaining the key points of shoulder pain; instability, mobility, and weakness. After helping me identify which issue I was suffering from, he provided the correct exercises to address and fix my shoulder pain. Not only did it fix my pain, it helped my strength numbers go up in the gym as well. I can only imagine the results I would get from a one of one session with Dr. Matt. I highly recommend him as he is not only a doctor, but also a crossfit athlete that practices what he preaches!

I came to see Dr. Matt for back pain and in just two sessions my mobility has greatly increased and pain decreased by more than half. I was able to go on a two hour hike near Yosemite with absolutely no pain!! I haven't been pain free on a hike in years! Thank you Dr. Matt, I highly recommend 💯!!!!

I’ve been seeing Matt for a few weeks now for my shoulder and it is been slowly improving and the therapy/exercises he provides makes a tremendous difference. I recently on the same shoulder had a different area of pain pop up, went to him for my weekly appointment and it helped SO MUCH. My shoulder felt loose and just kind of out of place, it hurt to simply reach for things. So that appointment (yesterday) focused on addressing that issue and rehabbing that area. Today I woke up with almost no pain in that area and can move my arm without cringing from pain. “In Matt I trust” 👏🏼

Matt is great. I’ve had a lot of injuries throughout my career as a collegiate athlete and time doing CrossFit, meaning a lot of Dr. appointments and many rounds of physical therapy over the years.
One thing that has really stood out to me about working with Matt is his thoroughness in evaluating the issue, and genuinely wanting you to keep moving and doing what activities you want to do while getting better. He won’t give you a “quick fix” option, or tell you to just rest and ice, and instead works with you to find a plan of exercises that will help you correct the source of the injury.

Dr. Matt is an excellent PT. He listens intently to any concerns I might have, and wants to get the whole picture before issuing treatment. He carries himself with the utmost professionalism, but still knows how to make you laugh! He was able to help with my hip pain in a more effective manner than other practitioners I have visited in the past, and for that I am so grateful!

Dr. Matt is a phenomenal physical therapist. He is able to create treatment programs to cater to each patient's specific needs, no matter how specific or complicated. He is super down to earth and relatable, while still maintaining professionalism.
