I have a 4 year old boy enrolled in preschool gymnastics. It was the first activity he’s ever done without me right there with him. I was thankful for Coach Ari, she eased him in and he is thriving. We are on our second season and will continue with CDC!

My daughter absolutely loves California Dance Company! She looks forward to every single class and gets so excited to go. She first started with the Tutus and Bow Ties dance class with Miss Ari, and she loved it so much that when the season ended, she couldn’t wait to go back. Over the summer, we enrolled her in gymnastics, and it has been such a positive experience.

When she first started, she could barely climb a ladder or attempt a front flip, but now she’s confidently doing both—and more! The growth in her skills has been amazing, but what has impressed me most is the confidence she’s built along the way. As a parent, it’s so rewarding to see her not only learn new abilities but also believe in herself more and more each week.

California Dance Company is such a great place for kids to be active, learn, and grow. Whether it’s too hot in the summer or too cold in the winter, it’s the perfect weekend activity that keeps children moving, engaged, and having fun in a safe and supportive environment.

The teachers are all so kind, patient, and encouraging. Miss Ari was wonderful with the little dancers, and the gymnastics instructors have been equally fantastic. Amber in the office is always so welcoming—she greets us with a smile every time and makes everyone feel at home.

I am so grateful we found this studio. It has been such a gift to see my daughter thrive, and I highly recommend California Dance Company to any parent looking for a place where their child can build skills, confidence, and lasting joy.

My oldest daughter started dance at another studio in Redding when she was 3years old and we had such an awful experience at this other studio that we spent the next few years trying out different activities/ sports. When my daughter was 7 we went to an event where we saw California Dance Company preform and we were blown away. My daughter looked at me and said “Mom, I want to do that!” So we started at the Redding CDC Location where we met our first CDC teacher Ms. Jamie. The way that Ms. Jamie taught, you could just see the level of passion and care that this young teacher put into her craft. During that time, I was pregnant with my second Daughter who spent then next few years watching her sister dance at the studio. My middle daughter turned 2 we signed her up for Ms. Raelynn’s class. This little girl who had never been in a room without her mom or Dad said “bye Mom and Dad, I’m headed to dance class.” She was in her element. She had quite literally been waiting her entire life to dance like her big sister. We were blown away watching this Tiny Tot class and how well Ms. Raelynn was able to make a room full of toddlers follow instructions 😱.This was the year my oldest daughter decided to take on a few more classes. Then it happened, towards the end of the season we got the invite to audition for their Competition team. I was nervous about cost/ commitment, but the Office staff is so knowledgeable they were able to answer any and all questions I had. My oldest was so nervous and told me that she “totally bombed” the audition. But then, a few weeks later we received the email that she made a Jazz and Lyrical routine. That first year in the Intensive program she made a tremendous amount of growth. That’s when we met Ms. Daia. From the moment we met her she made us feel so comfortable and at ease. She ALWAYS goes about and beyond for her students. Over the next few years I watched these teachers completely transform my daughter. So what did I do next? Of course I had my 2nd daughter audition for their Competition team at 4 years old . My only regret, is not having my oldest start at CDC from the beginning. Over the years my daughters have been taught by/ we have had positive experiences with: Jamie, Daia, Raelynn, Neveah, Amanda, Sonya, Lotus and Marie.(I’m sorry if I forgot to mention someone, my point is they are all amazing!) These teachers love, protect and guide our babies as if they are their own. From the office staff to the teachers, they have created this environment that feels so much like a second home and I am forever grateful that we are able to be a part of it!

My girls have been attending California Dance Company (CDC) for 5 years now. My husband and I are both impressed with CDC and how invested they are in the youth of our community. They have a wide variety of dance classes for all ages with two locations and several different days and times to meet the needs of either stay at home parents as well as working parents. Our girls have so much fun dancing each season and they end each season with an amazing performance to showcase all of the students hard word. CDC is professional and organized each year. Their professionalism and creativity really showed to be true during the COVID pandemic. They held virtual dance parties so the kids could still “get together” with other children, they continued their classes via zoom (which is hard to do on such short notice), and they continued to keep their main focus on the students and their needs.

I feel so blessed that we have such an amazing dance studio in our community for our girls to attend. We know that they will leave class more confident and empowered each class. They learn how to work hard, strive to reach their personal goals, and to work as a team.

I highly recommend CDC to any family looking for a dance studio to join.

California Dance is THE BEST! My girls have been going there since they were in diapers. Simply put- CDC grows passion, confidence and incredible friendships! I can't say enough great things about them!
With the re-open related to COVID, They created a process that really put me at ease; hand washing stations, temp checks, before the dancers even walk through the front door! So impressive! Plus it gave my girls a sense of normalcy in such a crazy time.

I enrolled my daughter at CDC when she was 3 years old so she could be around other children, have fun and learn skills. What I didn’t know at that time was that this studio CDC was going to turn into her second family. Everyone from the dance instructors, student helpers, and office staff have been apart of helping my daughter grow as a person and dancer. She has made the best of friends here with the children. They offer so many different options for each child, person and family. They continue to grow and add more but yet are able to retain that personal touch and attention for each child. My daughter has been dancing at CDC for 8 years and we couldn’t be happier! This is her safe haven... the instructors are incredible and care so much about the dancers! They don’t just teach dance, they help develop the kids into good people, with goals and respect and discipline. These dancers are taught to be kind and genuine. This is our second family, the girls that my daughter dances with are her sisters... their bond greater than other friends.
