Mitch and his team are dedicated to helping your reach your fitness and health goals (and helping you figure them out if you're not sure). They keep up with current information and techniques, and are the most supportive, compassionate, and realistic trainers I've worked with.
(Plus, I'm thrilled not to have top 40 blaring while I work out, as it was at the other gyms I belonged to.)

I've been training 2 days a week at Castro Valley Fitness for just a few months, and I knew I was getting stronger in the gym but the improvements I'm seeing in real life are even more meaningful. Last week I took my daughter to the beach where she stepped on a piece of broken glass and got a cut on the bottom of her foot. I was able to lift her and give her a piggyback ride to the life guard tower a ways down the beach so they could clean and bandage the cut. Before I started working out I don't think I could have done this without hurting my back. I feel really proud of my commitment to my health and fitness and grateful to Mitch, Diane and Kyle for guiding and encouraging me on this journey.

Mitch is knowledgeable, highly skilled, no-nonsense and inspirational when it comes to health and fitness. He knows about nutrition, exercise, motivation and the stumbling blocks we each face on our journey to fitness. He knows how to accommodate all kinds of injuries to help you work on what you can, and strengthen the areas that are healing. I did both bootcamp and personal training and highly recommend him to anyone else looking to get healthier, stronger or both. And the community he builds within his client base is phenomenal. Talk about support - it's a wonderful group of folks to work with. Great to be in it together!

I was new to Castro Valley and looking for a particular type of workout - after visits to several gyms, I googled "fitness" and found Mitch. I called, he answered the phone and we met. It's been nearly 4 years - I've done both the bootcamp and small group personal training. They are both great. The sense of community and friendship among members is an added bonus! I was specifically looking for strength and balance and have found so much more!
