With our Semi-Private training model, you can get all the direct attention that comes with personal training without paying premium prices you would at other facilities.

Logan is an outstanding trainer. He is very easy to communicate with and takes great care to make sure you are following the correct form. He creates personalized programs that challenge you to evolve into your best while being careful not to compromise your safety. If you're looking for the right place for supervised training, you will find a thoughtful, knowledgeable, encouraging and fun atmosphere at Catalyst.

Logan is an awesome trainer! I really appreciate his training-style bc he is focused and thorough at helping his clients maintain form and mobility during and after his sessions. I trust his judgement and always get exactly what I need out my sessions with him. He is very professional, knowledgeable, and comes with unique background in fitness. I also love the vibe and equipment at this gym! I am currently on the unlimited package and find it well worth the price. I especially love that the max capacity allowed per session is only 3 people/slots. Makes it again, well worth the price, bc the semi -private training still feels like private training with how well he supports and prioritizes his clients needs.

I've worked with various personal trainers over the years and I can truly say that Logan at Catalyst Oceanside is the best yet. Let me give some context: I've been doing martial arts (karate) as a passionate hobby for years and it can really take a toll on my body if I don't stay in shape - not just strength but mobility, balance, flexibility. On top of this, being over 55 I've been dealing with new physical challenges (back, knee, joint pain, etc...) since a few years which have really affected my ability to not only do what I love (Karate) but also my day to day responsibilities at home and work. There were times I couldn't clean the house or work in the garden because my back and hips were in such bad pain. My health was spiraling downwards. So I really needed to find a PT that would put together a physical fitness routine that was SMART- not just heavy weights and muscle focus. I really needed to find a trainer that understood this and finding Logan at Catalyst has been a game changer. His workout plans cover the full breadth of physical health - including mobility, flexibility, core work, as well as weights/strength. Add to this that he's just overall a personable, fun guy to talk with and have a good laugh while you're sweating it out!
Having been a competitive athlete for years himself (international level figure skating) he has the experience and understanding behind fitness requirements for athletes. This together with his exceptional knowledge of physiology means he's able to really "customize" the training to his client's needs. Not just in general but on any given day depending on how my body is feeling. He always provides options for every exercise so I can modify if needed e.g., If my shoulder (which suffers from a previous torn labrum) can't handle using the pull down bar then he gives the option for another exercise to work on helping me build needed strength for that shoulder without aggravating the injury. This is the first time I've had a trainer like this and it's golden! I feel the best I have in years since I started working out with him.
The gym itself is very inviting, very clean, with a "cozy" atmosphere and great music, that makes you want to go train. Because there are only up to 3 people for any given training "session" you still get the attention you need.
I always come out of a session feeling better! Not in pain and exhausted like I have with other PTs in the past.
If you're looking to get into shape, or dealing with injuries or other physical issues that have been keeping you from getting fit, or even just from doing day to day activities, I highly recommend training with Logan at Catalyst.

I had worked with Coach Logan at the Catalyst studio in Houston for a couple of years and he helped me surpass my fitness goals to say the least! He and the other coaches make such a great team and have a consistently encouraging spirit about their clients' goals. I worked with Logan while he was at Catalyst in Houston, and he was my favorite trainer! He knew how to push just the right amount to ensure progress, while still being encouraging. Catalyst just opened on January 20th, 2025, and I’ve already had two sessions with Logan while visiting the area. I’m originally from Toronto and will only be here for a few months, so I wanted to take the opportunity to prioritize my fitness and make the most of my time. From the very first session, Logan exceeded my expectations. They took the time to sit down with me, ask about my fitness history, goals, and any concerns, and then created a plan that felt both personalized and effective.
What I appreciate most is Logan’s approachability and energy. They’re incredibly knowledgeable about everything from strength training and cardio to mobility and recovery, and they explain everything clearly so you understand the “why” behind each exercise. Logan strikes the perfect balance of challenging you to push past your limits while making the sessions fun and rewarding. He's always encouraging, but never in an over-the-top way it feels genuine, and you know they really care about your progress.
After just two sessions, I’m already noticing improvements in how I move and feel. Logan’s attention to detail, whether it’s correcting my form or suggesting ways to adjust exercises based on my ability, has been a game-changer. I feel like I’m building a solid foundation, and I’m excited to see how much progress I can make during my time here.
Even though Catalyst is a brand-new business, Logan operates like a seasoned professional since he was a trainer at another gym in Houston. The care, passion, and expertise they bring to each session make it clear that Catalyst is going to be a huge success. Whether you’re a local resident or just visiting like me, I can’t recommend Catalyst and Logan enough. If you’re looking to invest in your health and fitness, this is the place to do it.

I have had the pleasure of training with Logan on multiple occasions and have always walked away not only feeling like I received a great workout but also feeling better about myself all around. Even on days where I really dont want to work out, I dont miss our sessions because I know I wont regret it and I will even have fun. His training approach is a perfect balance of his personable and enthusiastic energy along with his concise and attentive instruction, which I really appreciate. You can tell he really knows what he is talking about and is also GENUINELY excited about helping you be your best self. I also have had an injured hamstring for years and he is VERY careful with it as he creates my programs and even has suggested multiple different exercises for me to do to help get it feeling better!
